The difference in gloss vs satin finish on the parts has nothing to do with being different types of plastic; that is simply an effect of certain mold cavities being more polished than others. The smoother (more polished) a mold surface is, the shinier the plastic parts coming out of it will be.

Only reason I mentioned about the blend of plastic is not actually only because of the finish but how the plastic cuts/sands. It’s the same with Gunpla where those type parts tend to be a bit more brittle and act similar to clear parts that more easily tear and/or crack. Which led me to think maybe the plastic itself is slightly different
