I should add--even though I'm in south FL and grew up in the Baltimore area, my family is from southwest VA in the mountains in and around Roanoke. This reminds me so much of family.
My uncle was a doctor, and he always stated that it was always his experience with those in the throws of death, that 90% of those asked for their mother...she was with you when you came into the world, and she'd be with you as you start your next journey.
I'm so touched by the light of love that sparkles in her eyes when she talks about her grandfather. He's been gone all these years, but she still vividly recalls his goodness. What a good man he must have been.
@@CelebratingAppalachiaWas wondering if you ever say how old she is? Or what yr she was born and married? How many kids she has. Any pictures of them in younger days. Her and her husband that is? My mom was born in 1923 and My dad 1915. So just curious..🥰🥰👏🙏🏻🥰 love hearing her answers.
Granny has a beautiful spirit. Thank you for introducing her to all of us, and thanks to Granny for agreeing to participate. Sending love from the eastern end of the Old North State!
Granny brings a tear to my eyes just to feel the love she has for her family. She loves back looking to her mother and forward looking to her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. And she is still caring for them in her knitting. (It is hard for me to call her granny though, because we are about the same age. I grew up in the 1940s and and 1950s and in the US Navy in the 1960s and 1970s)
Granny appears to have a very calm and gentle way about her. I truly respect and admire our elders, and learn so much from their wisdom. These interviews will cherished by your family for generations. What a blessing for us too!
An absolute angel on this earth❤. She has become Granny to all of us and I look so forward to seeing her. So thankful she’s doing so well. Thank you Granny for sharing your life with us❤️
Being saved and your family as well is the greatest blessing anyone could hope for. You can see the twinkle in Granny's eyes. I'm so happy she received a good report from her tests. 😊
Granny, you brought tears to my eyes! You are just so precious and beautiful! I hope you know how much you’re loved!💖 May the Lord continue to bless you!
What a beauty.oh precious Granny. Annie over was our favorite and Simon Says. The love I have for you in my heart is real I’m 84 and never had a grandmother, only a grandfather up to the 3rd grade and I was scared too death of him. He was from Scotland and had a brogue, was a Presbyterian Preacher and would shout the windows to rattle in the church. Literature, yes wasn’t it wonderful. Grammar was a chore. TH-cam and Tipper were meant to be. She’s a keeper like you. Much love.
Oh I just love her! I have worked in geriatrics since I was 18 until i had to stop working at 40..and the elderly have always been so special to me. They are a treasure. Thank you for sharing Granny❤
Granny, you’re still here for such a time as this ❤. I VHS’d my Grandma around 1993…she was 92 and her stories were of the depression, canning and fixin’ in the kitchen with her mamma, the turnips, the butter beans, and her heartfelt project in the 70’s…getting tractor trailer loads of donated gifts and clothing to the people of SE Appalachian Kentucky. When my mom was in her 80s, she, too, wanted to see her mom again. I always thought that was “deep” and that someday, when I’m in my 80s, it’ll come to me….the “why”. ❤
I know I’m not the only one who didn’t want this to end ! But I’m so thankful to get a break because my checks hurt so bad from smiling!! Granny is such a treasure!! Thank You God for Granny and for answering so many prayers to touch and heal her.
Well, here I was thinking that I invented the peanut butter and banana sandwich!!!! Much love and prayers for Granny. Thank you Tipper for all you do for us homesick mountain people.
