Beautiful bright , flowers 💐 As a bit of friendly information...I used to be a florist (hope to get back to it part time when I retire) and was trained to cut the stem of a flower and get it into water within 3 seconds , especially roses. Often, the freshly cut 'stem end' will not have the proper ability to drink water if [it's] exposed to the air longer than 3 seconds of it being cut. I love to make fresh flower vase arrangements, too. I bet your granny loved the one you made for her 😊
Katie and Corie, please keep my mom’s twin sister in prayer. She is 95, the only one left of the 8 kids in mom’s family. Her body is shutting down and hospice care is taking care of her.
I became a dad at 50. Having supported my wife thru her 30 hours of labor and subsequent c-section, it was clear to me that she had done all the work in bringing our daughter into the world. So I tried to be as useful as I could be in infant care. Yes, many hours seemed like days and days like weeks. But I wouldn’t trade that sleeplessness and commitment to them for anything. She’s 16 and that bond is still there. It goes so fast. I believe they are born fully formed humans. Our job is to give them the support to unfold. Kinda like one of those little foam dinosaurs you put in water and they expand to 15 times their size. There is no higher calling and you are doing great.
Katie, one of the reasons, your youtube friends are interested in your channel, is because of the honest simplicity of you and your families life. At the pond you appreciate God's beauty. Y'all are so lucky to live in this small rural place, with big cities things get so completed, and it's so nice to watch your family in your everyday life. Love the video! I grew up wearing bandanas like you do. It was the "style" when I went to school. You were big stuff if you had a different colored one than blue. I wore a pink one alot or just got a blue one of my dad's. I hated wearing a hat outside in the sun, so a bandana kept my part in my hair from sunburning & because I was short, everything I worked in was taller than me, so the bandana kept my hair clean, especially when topping & suckering tobacco. Pat said that he remembered me wearing one even after we married. I hadn't worn one in years, but may start again. They are "Cool"!
Katie, my oldest son and 1st born child started pulling up at 5 months. He took of running at 7 months. He also cried a lot. He is 50 now and I still love him so

You are adorable Katie! It can be a challenge when you have a fussy baby, but they do grow out of it, so hang in there. Remember, as he grows older and starts walking, you have to keep those handles on pots and pans turned inward, never hanging over the stove. The baby could grab it. I have twins, and my Dad taught me that, and I’ve never forgotten it. 😊
My son hated to be held like a baby from about day 5, and he always wanted to move on to the next step asap. Would scream when he couldn’t crawl, started climbing at 6/7 months, just learned to ride a pedal bike and he’s only 2 and a half, but a determined boy. It goes by so fast girls, hang in there even when they are stubborn 😂🤪🤩🙂 It’s quite a blessing these two boys will have each other to entertain them!! ❤️
Oh my, I was the same way at both of the end of my pregnancies! I craved hamburgers and especially cheesesteak subs! Had to watch eating too many fried onions at the end of my pregnancies, since I suffered from heartburn! Unfortunately also craved proper onion rings! lol! Lived off of Rolaids! Having your hair tied back is also hygienic when preparing food, good way of keeping hair out of it.

That's a Weeping Willow tree by the pond. There root's grow towards any water, alot of people had to take them out from around there house because the root's would grow around there well's and caused a lot of damage. They are beautiful though. Those plant growing in the pond are cattails.
Those are cat tails, they grow at the edge of ponds and ditches along the Roadside the Long stocks that top of them when they turn white that’s the seeds and they pollinate very quickly and they spread very quickly. Your neighbor may have planted some seeds or some birds of carried some seeds along the edge there
I wore a bandanna and overalls to school in the 1970’s. My sister had to drink goat milk as a baby due to allergies. You find out your wants and needs are secondary after you have a child. But it is worth the sacrifice.❤

He took his first step at 9 months, and the first taste of independence changed everything for him. SUPER intelligent and he morphed into an AMAZING toddler. 😂 He never crawled, didn't start out walking , just straight took off running. ❤️ All of this being said in hopes of giving you some peace in knowing that , your angel is just being who he is, and it is going to be wild and blessed ride. ❤💪🙏
My son was the same way! He was so angry that his baby hands wouldn't move like he thought they should, and he bypassed crawling to run after his sister. He bumped into the walls when they rounded corners so much I was afraid the doctor would see the black and blue marks and call CPS!
I took my children fishing when they were young,they still enjoy it today. The boys will most likely enjoy hiking as well. Loved the video. God bless you both
Hi Katy, I use goat milk soap. I wash my hair in it also. I get mine from Blue Cactus Dairy Goats. They also have an Etsy shop. Yes I had dry skin after each of my kids were born. Some people lose their hair after giving birth. Hugs

Common name is Cat Tails, all parts are Edible including the Roots. The Brown part can be soaked in Kerosene and then used for Torches to see at Night, but not used for that in this Modern World. The Edible part of the Stock can be Eaten Raw or in a Salad. Thanx for sharing God bless.😃
My babies loved being outside, right from the start. I would have them sleep outside in the fresh air when the weather cooperated. Ira may sleep well outside too. Fresh air is excellent for babies as well as adults.

We have a lot of hawks in West Virginia too. I have several bird feeders hanging on my porch and I looked out my door and saw a hawk sitting on the roof of a car parked in front of the house. He was stalking the songbirds gathered around my feeders so I had to run him off. I haven't seen him since. I'm not sure what kind of hawk he was, he was pretty small. Corie, your flower arrangement was so pretty!
If you strip the leaves off the flower stem, you arrangement will last long. The leaves cause the water to get nasty faster and your flowers will wilt faster too. Just a suggestion.

The doctor we go to said years ago if something happened to the momma and could not nurse her baby they would actually give the baby goats milk. He said goats milk is the closest to human milk. I have always called those stalky plants in the pond, with the brown at the top, cat tails. Love to see Binks/Binx and the picture of Mrs. Wilson holding one of her great grandsons is precious! So sweet that y'all have the opportunity to be there together with her! The colors you mentioned are earthy colors, not dull; earthy colors are part of God's beautiful and rich creation too!

Hi Corie and Katie! Corie, when I arrange flowers - like those you are doing here - I generally start with the mid size, and arranging them in my left hand one at a time until I have a handful of sorts, then check the bottoms for a trim to even them up. Then I put them in the vase and add the larger ones to accent, and fill in with the small. Just a thought. Try it and see if that works for you. Depends also on the size of the vase also... Great to see the little darlings and Granny! And of course, BINKS!

Bandanas and stretchy, wide head bands [like gaiters] are infinitely practical! They keep your hair back when you're working, add color to your outfit, cover up bad hair days...and at 63, I have lost a significant amount of hair, and would rather not wear a wig; so they keep my head covered. Have you tried the stretchy, wide gaiter-style? I just whip them up on the sewing machine in a few minutes flat! Basically, they're just a wide tube. I source pretty knit fabric as I thrift, so now have a collection with every print and color! Loved your little wildflower bouquet...so dainty and sweet...reminds me of my Nana...she always had flowers on her table
That's a Weeping Willow tree by the pond. There root's grow towards any water, alot of people had to take them out from around there house because the root's would grow around there well's and caused a lot of damage. They are beautiful though. Those plant growing in the pond are cattails.

Those are cat tails, they grow at the edge of ponds and ditches along the Roadside the Long stocks that top of them when they turn white that’s the seeds and they pollinate very quickly and they spread very quickly. Your neighbor may have planted some seeds or some birds of carried some seeds along the edge there

I wore a bandanna and overalls to school in the 1970’s. My sister had to drink goat milk as a baby due to allergies. You find out your wants and needs are secondary after you have a child. But it is worth the sacrifice.❤

I LOVE the fact you both wear bandanas! When I was growing up in the 1970s, it was such a popular look and I always thought the girls who wore them looked so cute and cool. It's a look you just don't see much any more so to see you both wearing bandanas brings back such a lot of happay memories - please don't ever stop! My beagle boops the iPad when Binks is on. Then looks around the room for him. LOVES kitties. Cries when they’re on tv. The rescue said he loved their cats 🫶🏻😻

Katie, Your perception and outlook about high school, was exactly how I was when I was in high school. I just wanted to get in there, get it done and get out. Took the basic subjects that I had to take to graduate, and barely did by the skin of my teeth, lol.
Sweet Katie, I know I mentioned in your live how my son DID NOT like being an infant...🥰 It was a tiring time! But MAJOR blessings are on the way. He took his first step at 9 months, and the first taste of independence changed everything for him. SUPER intelligent and he morphed into an AMAZING toddler. 😂 He never crawled, didn't start out walking , just straight took off running. ❤️ All of this being said in hopes of giving you some peace in knowing that , your angel is just being who he is, and it is going to be wild and blessed ride. ❤💪🙏
My son was the same way! He was so angry that his baby hands wouldn't move like he thought they should, and he bypassed crawling to run after his sister. He bumped into the walls when they rounded corners so much I was afraid the doctor would see the black and blue marks and call CPS!
My first born son was a mess. He was just like what you described. He's a very productive adult.

Hi Katy, I use goat milk soap. I wash my hair in it also. I get mine from Blue Cactus Dairy Goats. They also have an Etsy shop. Yes I had dry skin after each of my kids were born. Some people lose their hair after giving birth. Hugs

Hi Katie! I have said this before both you & Corie love the 1970s & this was huge back then. They used to sell them with a cushion in the front. My mom wore them while raking the hay. I have a pic somewhere of her wearing 1 😊 Love you & ur family
I recently watched and enjoyed the arrowhead video So many of the things youns talk about and do (including your parents too) brings back memories from my younger days.
Music was a big part of those days, also church, hunting and fishing, my mom was an amazing cook, and that's just to make a few.

Common name is Cat Tails, all parts are Edible including the Roots. The Brown part can be soaked in Kerosene and then used for Torches to see at Night, but not used for that in this Modern World. The Edible part of the Stock can be Eaten Raw or in a Salad. Thanx for sharing God bless.😃

My babies loved being outside, right from the start. I would have them sleep outside in the fresh air when the weather cooperated. Ira may sleep well outside too. Fresh air is excellent for babies as well as adults.

We have a lot of hawks in West Virginia too. I have several bird feeders hanging on my porch and I looked out my door and saw a hawk sitting on the roof of a car parked in front of the house. He was stalking the songbirds gathered around my feeders so I had to run him off. I haven't seen him since. I'm not sure what kind of hawk he was, he was pretty small. Corie, your flower arrangement was so pretty!

Goat milk soap helps my sister's eczema. Also, she uses Aveeno lotion successfully.
If you strip the leaves off the flower stem, you arrangement will last long. The leaves cause the water to get nasty faster and your flowers will wilt faster too. Just a suggestion.

The doctor we go to said years ago if something happened to the momma and could not nurse her baby they would actually give the baby goats milk. He said goats milk is the closest to human milk. I have always called those stalky plants in the pond, with the brown at the top, cat tails. Love to see Binks/Binx and the picture of Mrs. Wilson holding one of her great grandsons is precious! So sweet that y'all have the opportunity to be there together with her! The colors you mentioned are earthy colors, not dull; earthy colors are part of God's beautiful and rich creation too!

My son was a very fussy baby but since he was able to sit up on his own and all Thur his school age and college age he never gave me a moments trouble. I just hope your sons give y’all the same in life! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️💜💜☮️

We call them Cat Tails. Love following your family. Interesting fact, Our hometown is in Haywood County, Crabtree, NC same county your dad is from. My husband and I went to Tuscola and your dad probably went to Pisgah High Schools. We live near Knoxville, TN now, but sure miss the mountains and our family back home.
When I was in school probably middle school or early high school I started to wear bandannas.
It's been awhile since seeing you out and about Katie. I love the pond and the beautiful blue skies. We used to light cattails to keep the mosquitoes 🦟 away. We used a glass Pop bottle as a holder and that worked really great as we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening. I Loved seeing everyone in the video. Hi Corie and Katie! Corie, when I arrange flowers - like those you are doing here - I generally start with the mid size, and arranging them in my left hand one at a time until I have a handful of sorts, then check the bottoms for a trim to even them up. Then I put them in the vase and add the larger ones to accent, and fill in with the small. Just a thought. Try it and see if that works for you. Depends also on the size of the vase also... Great to see the little darlings and Granny! And of course, BINKS!
