Just had the best tomato I’ve ever eaten. I will be growing next season. “San Mariano, heirloom”. Wonderful for sauce. I lived in the south for years and we had fried green tomatoes. Yum! Please ,please, please share your biscuit recipe.
This is just the most fun & bit of everything video!! I'm hungry from all the yummy food & I'm happy because Buttercup is happy in her dirt pile! And yes.. build the table on this channel & do the paint or finish on JRV channel! Thanks for that incredible view from your property and the tree in your yard with the gorgeous 🍁🍂colors!! The Utah blue sky is fantastic.. love that shot with your tree!
I think Zeb should build the dining table on this channel. Your pie filling looks good, and I totally agree with you. When it comes to cinnamon and many other spices I don’t think the expiration date means that much. I can tell if they’re at all still potent by their smell, and I haven’t ever had any problems using this approach.
Make green tomato relish! We grew up eating it. My mom used all the green tomatoes, after canning 300 quarts of tomatoes to feed our family of 12, (9 kids, mom and dad, and nanny, our great grandma, who moved in after breaking her hip). It delicious on scrambled eggs, or fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, spam, cheddar cheese bake. That egg bake is delicious made over a camp fire, in a large cast iron pan! You can Google green tomato relish recipes.
The good news about spices is that they virtually last forever. It's rare, if not impossible, for a spice to go "bad." The biggest threat of time is that it causes spices to lose potency and flavor. Ground cinnamon that's three years old will not carry as much flavor as cinnamon that's only three months old.
I'm with you on spice exp dates. I had ground cloves I used for 10 yrs. It always tasted like cloves. I have however started buying smaller sizes of spices.
I don’t worry about expiration dates either. And I like cinnamon way better than nutmeg and use more than the recipes say to. Beautiful property! I’d like to see a video on how you bake with kamut. I think the biscuits could have been rolled out a little too thin, but they looked good! Jars usually break like that because there is too great of a temperature difference between what’s in the jar and the temp of the water in the canner.
You're making me hungry! I thought biscuits and gravy was just something that Southerners ate. I've actually never had it but you're making me want to try it.
Zeb should build your new table on this channel. I worked in the grocery department, and expiration dates can be extended out longer. The expiration date is just the date they are at their best. most containers that are sealed will be good for longer.
Expiration dates just tell me that they are still at their peak. I just notice on herbs that they don't smell or taste as strong. I tried growing apples but in NC it is very hard to get apples that don't get diseases so I just switched to different fruit trees.
Can’t wait for Baby Buttercup! Mooo 🐄

“If it smells funny don’t put it in your mouth” LOL!
God has truly blessed your family. What a flourishing garden you have had this year. And all the other blessings along the way.
Yay, it is Jack!! Such a cute young man who is growing up waaay too fast.
My mother used the bad ones for applesauce! Not like rotten but the soft ones! ❤

If I could just convince the leaves on these trees to stay this way all year round lol
I’d love the table being made on this channel😊
Great video! Zeb needs to build the table on this channel. And your biscuits & gravy look delicious 🤤
Cinnamon should be fine after the expiration date. Yes Zeb build a table, I love to see what you build.
Please build the table and chairs on this channel. You can always paint it on your other channel.😊

You can use eggplant and put all the pizza ingredients on top.

Jami’s family is from the south so I guess she comes by it naturally ❤️

I ALWAYS use T/t & I'm never going to stop!😉
Spices like cinnamon rarely expire but herbs sometimes lose their flavors.
Have you ever made pickled green tomatoes? Yummy!
I haven’t but now I may need to!
Spices loose their potency with time, but won't poison you. 😊
Will watch Zeb making your new table on any channel!
Your property is beautiful!!
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing recipe for apple pie filling. Had not heard of Cornabys but will try it this year.
Did I see Jack’s arms when Jami was mixing the biscuit dough?❤️
You should set up a little campsites, about half a mile of space each, and just charge people per night to camp on your land.
I didn’t know this Chanel would be so cool!
Haha! It’s a whole mishmash of our weeks
@@jamiandzeb well gimme all the mishmash bcuz I love it! lol

Do you guys sell the copper looking canister you use for your sugar? So cute. Funny the pumpkin that grew in the fence. 😂
We find those copper canisters when we’re out thrifting. I wish we could carry them all the time.
Jami needs some Hikinstocks to go with her workinstocks
Haha! Yes!
DOUGHNUTS & DONUT HOLES❗️
I think if the hooves get to long they can’t walk properly.
Have you thought of getting a greenhouse?
Yeah it’s on the list to hopefully be done by next fall 🤞🤞
Can you hunt on that land?
Yes but it will still require a permit
Weather had in England,sorry😬😬
What kind of salt do you use? I heard Redmond's salt was the best if you are a homesteader.
We use the pink salt from Costco I believe it used to be called Himalayan sea salt but now it’s just branded Kirkland in our area.
It doesn’t go bad , it’s just not as flavorful.
Your cinnamon should be fine, lol.
I watch the hoof guy on TH-cam
you need to take your cow camping with you so she can munch your property
Bad
