the level of detail that is in this game is astonishing i strongly suggest suggest you give this game a try ! this is becoming the best game ive ever played.
Main issue with the Reliant is that they put every single maneuvering thruster on the wing tips and forgot to incorporate the retro thrusters, so flight balance is borked, I suggest NEVER flying with vertical wing mode, it does everything better in horizontal wing mode, especially the most important thing, side strafing.

Mantis is an interdictor, it is meant to tackle ships (pull them out of quantum and keep them out) while other ships do the fighting.
Right the problem i had was actually being able to fly it it just blows up after 10 seconds

What I would say optimistic is mid next year, but remember, SQ42 has always been 2 years away from release
