Going mudding, At some point just about every weekend as a teen in the mid to late 80s I would end up going mudding as we called it. We hit the old logging roads and even just made roads where there was none, hitting the strip pit ponds/cattail ponds were really fun, but the best was when it rained, we would then go and find fresh dozer cut clay logging roads that were slicker than Owl shit and have a ball. I did not have very much money so I would have to take up a collection for gas money from the ones asking to go because as you know as the owner of the 4X4 during the week your time and money went to replacing parts and stuff you tore up mudding the weekend before. Mudding, hunting and fishing and working to do all that is what keep me out of any major trouble. Best of times.

This Park is in East Texas between the town of Jacksonville and Frankston. The park is called River Run and is open year round with approximately 10 events a year. I go there at least once a month. I have been to many parks and River Run is my favorite. Thanks for watching Emily!
The guy that got stuck in the white Chevy needs some lessons from the other guys. You don’t just slam the gas to the floor that will just get you stuck faster.
how hot does the transmission get when you guys get stuck like that? is it hot enough to damage anything or you geared low enough it is not a real issue.
Transmissions get super hot. That is why you have to watch the temps and let the trucks rest between holes. Most fires are caused by fluid lines bursting and getting on hot headers. Just make sure gearing is right too in order to help the transmission some. Geared too low and the engine may overheat but geared too high the trans may overheat. Trial and error situation with lots of testing. Thanks for watching!

The bounty hole we used a couple years ago has filled itself in as of last ride.
