it actually isn't consistent, if it was then he should've been able to avoid getting the trap shot to his leg which prevented him from running after he and the other metas escaped before being sold. but obviously he couldn't avoid it even tho his faster then a speeding bullet yet a bullet like object that locked his foot were to fast for him :(

Admittedly, I haven't watched all the season 4 episodes so I may have missed something but while he does get his ass kicked a number of times, there's usually context (taken by suprised, shocked, etc) so it's at least not as absurd as previous seasons. Btw, which episode was that?

LaxDefense81 in comics, yes. In the fox universe, his speed is insane. Check out when he saved everyone in apocalypse while the mansion was exploding, he saved so many people in practically a few seconds, while the bombs were still going off. I think these 2 (CW & Fox) would have a good fight!

That’s because in real world physics no one could run that fast without flying straight out of the planet. It’s only because of the speed force creating super adhesion with each step, or Barry when he runs past Mach 25 the speed force causes him to have a greater gravitational pull than even the earth so he is pulling the earth to him. We don’t feel it because it only happens past Mach 25 and only when his feet touch the ground which is happening at rate of a microsecond or nanosecond then gone again.

I worked it out
In the mid season finale for season 4 there is a deleted scene in which Iris and Barry are on their honeymoon in Bali and Ralph Dibny sets off some alarm in star labs. it takes 10 seconds for Barry to carry Iris from Bali to round about Kansas City (Which is round about where Central City is in real life) meaning Barry had to run at mach 4518 or 3,466,797 MPH in flip flops!!!!!!!!!!!

They just wanted Barry to look cool. There's no way they thought some random dude on the internet would actually calculate how fast Barry actually ran.
In I think season 7 Gideon says light is 80 times faster than his top speed, so if that were true his fastest would be about 8.3 million mph, so it’s probably for him to look cool.
They're not physicists, judging by how they think running around the entire Earth multiple times a second is Mach 7, I highly doubt it.

@@kurk3068 Yes he actually does almost stop time as in he saved himself 3 hours in flash time while a nuclear explosion was taking place, because he needed to find a way to stop it and he stopped a nuclear explosion before it could do any damage and also did bring in help from some people by somehow bringing them into flash time

It's mainly one. simple. formula.: Speed is distance over time, which means to calculate the speed, you have to divide the distance by how much time it takes. So S=D/T
Division can be represented by a fraction line or a slash as in my example.

If we really wanted to be super accurate we shouldn't be using that formula anyways since it's based on newtonian physics which is wrong and accounts for VERY little. This only works in a straight line plane on point particles with no external forces. If you really wanted to be accurate you'd need to start using vector functions and applied maths scaling. But for the sake of demonstrating just how fast Barry is, more or less, S=D/T suits our needs(basically: BARRY IS REALLY FAST HOLY MOTHER OF MUSHROOMS)

In the new episode he moves so fast that a nuke's explosion stays still while detonating so he's moving faster than 3% the speed of light seeing as how he can still run at super speeds while he's moving fast enough so everything stays still aka Flashtime and he does this for a good 30 minutes. (3% the speed of light= 5,580 Miles per second= 20,118,498.87 Mph)

I like this video I think barry is at his top speed because he's the same speed as the reverse flash in the future and already reached that speed
the RF is always gonna be just as fast as the flash, that is because they are connected to the speed force and RF is connected to the negative/reverse speed force so he automatically gets just as fast as the flash because he gets his powers from the reverse speed force so the fast barry gets, the faster RF gets :D
