To be honest my freshmen year was bad but then my sophomore and junior was good only for my senior year to be bad and it wasn’t the Coronavirus but before the Coronavirus,I was surrounded by fake people and started suffering social anxiety. In fact I praised the Coronavirus and that’s what they deserved to get. A ruined senior year for them and who’s laughing now!? I feel glad and thanked the virus for humiliating them even though the virus is bad but at least it avenged me. I understand that I’m a senior,I understand I don’t even know what school you guys go to,and finally I understand our senior year was ruined by the virus but where I came from is full of fake people at least for me. Maybe I’m the only minority as a senior who hated their senior year even before the COVID-19 outbreak and I understand you guys felt bad for senior year but this is just my opinion.
I feel like after corona and when we get back to school people will definitely be more aware of the time they have. They’ll be more aware that there’s only 4 years of high school and there’s only 4 years to goof around and be a teenager until you have to go off to college. People will definitely start living and taking more risks and being more daring and have more fun, because now we know (every single person in the world knows) that all of the fun and friends and school and work can be taken away from us in a blink of an eye.
yeah honestly even though i’m sad i couldn’t graduate middle school i feel like i’ve learned so much to take with me through high school
freshmen year for me was this year... and it went by super fast. I can't believe I'm going to be a sophomore already.
Yeah and these videos also teach others that, hey, we have a short time until adulthood, and now people will be more aware/

Maybe you think Prom and graduation aren't a big deal, but for seniors and their families, it's huge to have those memories. And now they can't have those memories. this video made me realized that ive wasted my entire highschool career being to timid to actually do.... and now that its my senior year and everything has come to an end... I will never get the chance to go back. Now with the new chapter being college I wont be so scared to live my life.

That is so true I graduated last year and you know when they say that you don’t know the worth of something until it’s gone that’s what it felt like. When I first started in freshman year it felt like it will never pass and graduation day was sooo far away but when the day came the last week of school I was emotional,nostalgic I was waiting the end of the school soo bad that at the end I realized I would miss it. I remember walking on the hallway,looking in the class and I’d see the memories pass through my head,every corner would remind me of something.
I wish I enjoyed my time being me than being shy.
Unfortunately this nostalgia feeling stayed with me for months it affected me it’s an important phase of your life and there I realized I need to enjoy life.
Honestly all my high school I was timid until this year I actually went out with friends I went to homecoming and thankfully I got to play powderpuff which I’ve never bonded so closes with People so fast it’s crazy I finally realize what I missed and that life is short and can change in an instant so enjoy it while you can

I’m in 8th grade and I was looking forward to doing all of the fun 8th grade trips we do at my school like performing in the band at a baseball game, going to cedar point, and going to the east coast with my class. I’ll never get to do those now. But even though I’m not class to 2020 this video made me thankful for everything I’ve already done.

Yeah, I'm in 8th i was anticipating the last quarter of school i would have with some of my best friends, but now that's gone. I only hope i will stay in contact with the friends that I'm leaving to go to a different highschool. It's so terrible that i will have to leave the only friend i have kept since 1st grade, but maybe we'll stay in touch? I truly hope so. At least I'm going to get to experience highschool with my best friend.
We need to start school with a ‘end of year week’ so we would do all the things we missed, prom,sports,dances etc. GRADUATION!! You can’t just take that away from people
I’m class of 2021 and I am heartbroken for all of you seniors. I can’t even imagine. I’m even more heartbroken at the fact that I’ve been homeschooled my whole life and I never had any of this. None of it. I have a few friends that I would see at church. But then I left the church and rarely see anyone. And it breaks my heart that I will never have these memories all of you had. i am a junior soon to be senior (class of 2021) and i understand a little where you come from. i go to a public school in a semi small town where everyone knows everyone at least a little and it hard for me to watch this class leave without a proper goodbye. if i was a few months older, i would have been hit by this reality a lot differently. next year might have a similar outcome as we have no idea of how long this storm will last but we can get thru it. congrats to the class of 2020 and hold on a little longer as things will change soon. sending you guys all the love and gummy bears i can!!!
@@emmaboyer7667 I understand. A lot of our friends were seniors, and we never got the chance to say goodbye, and they never got their graduation. I know they can make it but I don't know if I can make it with out them. They we're what made each and every day enjoyable.

it’s time like these when i hate myself for putting everything off until second semester. i didn’t know things would end up like this so i spent my first semester of senior year working my ass off just so i can have fun and be stress-free during the supposed best three months of my life. i got into the school i wanted but now seeing everyone get into their dream schools it hurts to think that i have to say goodbye to my friends whom i’ve been with for twelve years like that. praying for class of 2020 💕

This is the first 'dear 2020' I've teared up watching. I feel terrible for all the seniors who never got to do finals, have a graduation, a senior class trip and just memories everyone deserves to have.

It's hard to know that the seniors will not be experiencing something a lot of generations have and probably something they've all dreamt about. As well as to know that this can happen to us next year or year after that etc. One thing this virus has taught me is that not everything will be as you thought and not everything is guaranteed no matter if you know it's something that always happens or not. I feel more grateful that I have a few more years to go and I know to cheris them while I can.

as a middle schooler ,, this has thought me to cherish everything . even though the work might be difficult or the teachers/students might get on my last nerve ,, i am going to enjoy every bit of it .
i’m class of 2020 as well, and the whole year i was mentally preparing myself for the last day i would spend with all of my classmates before graduation, just for that experience to be taken away from me without me knowing. earlier in march, i thought i would only be gone for 2 weeks. now i know that was really my last day of school, and i wish i could have treasured those moments more

Thank you so much for being so open and honest with us, we are here for you. And ngl when you said the friends come and go, that hit so hard. It's as if we put so much into these friendships during our highschool years, only for them to fall apart. Why does it happen? Growth? Disloyalty? I will never understand, when I make a friend it's forever. But sometimes the other person doesn't feel the same. And honestly that breaks my heart. That person was in your life for a reason, even if it wasn't for the long run. But just as you said, cherish each moment like it's slipping away... You never know what's waiting around the corner. Don't take anything or anyone for granted. Tell people you love them. Tell people you appreciate them. Tell people you couldn't live without them. Tell people they are irreplacable.

You know the term best friend forever (BFF)? That’s a false expression. The reality is that friendship comes and goes no matter what. Even if you connected via social media, it’s not the same feeling as connecting with the person in real life. In my opinion, it’s not possible to be friends with someone for your whole life

Corona really destroyed our year but for the kids on campus now, if you are on campus please take in every moment you can, go to every dance, appreciate your teachers a little more! I'm literally in 6th grade and I'm sobbing. This video and many other videos taught me to cherish my high school years, and middle school years. I will never take walking into math class and sitting in my seat next to my friend pretending to be expert vloggers and doing tiktok dances. I will never take walking into my history class with my awesome teacher who would let us do anything for granted ever again. Most of all I will never take my friends for granted again, because I might not see them again.
I don’t know why it took me this long to actually cry. I guess I’ve been in denial that my senior year was over before I had the chance to say good bye, before the chance I had to comprehend that it was all over. So many relationships have simply ended already because or distance. There are some people that I spoke to for the last time that I will probably never see again. Thank you Vanessa for helping me find closure in my senior year!

I graduated on the 30th of May. I won't lie before my graduation I wanted to just get it over with. But when the time came I realized how lucky I was to actually have a graduation with ceremonies. Of course it was different, you had to stay 6 feet apart and you couldn't grab your diploma. You had to pick it up later but we walked. Many schools didn't have that. Actually we were one of the few that did it and I'm grateful to be able to have that somewhat traditional experience

It's been 3 months since quarantine split us all apart, and it was just this time,bcos of your video, i realized that i miss them so much. I didn't realized that it was just like an hour to end our high school life. I wasn't aware that i actually created memories with them and i regret it. I should have used those minutes of that hour doing crazier,craziest things with them. I should have spent more time listening to those boring yet special time on our classes. I'm grad 2013, and this was on on my recommend page.. and omg my heart goes to grad 2020's. My family had to cancel one of the biggest event of the year, which was my sister's destination wedding so I know the feeling of having cancel on us . But this one is different. High school is 100% where you learn and make one of the best memories, and where you meet the best people in your life. My advice to all grad 2020's is honestly stay in touch with every classmate you have. My grad class of 2013 is honestly still so tight . I know how majority of my grad class is doing until this day. Yes, we all have different life's and different friends now, and it's always here & there . But, we still gather every once a year (or someone's birthday) and have a grad reunion. High school friends are where you meet the long lasting friendships. There's this quote - " Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened" -Dr. Seuss " It's honestly one of my fave quotes ever, because life is too short. Cherish every milestone. Wishing you all the best grad 2020's. I'm proud of you guys! :') Congratulations grad 2020, Dream big!

My senior year has been one of the best years of high school yet and i didn’t even get to go to my last day, So sad that this is how out senior year ended 🥺
i was demolished having the last moments that could have been moments taken away and was forced to watch my senior year come to an end. my love is endless for all of you. i'm grateful for what was given to me at the most. i'm glad that we had this happen though, because i've lost people, but also found out the real people in my life that will stick around even when s*** hits the fan 😂 i love you 2020 seniors. to 2021 and younger, cherish your moments and days together snd conquer what you can in what little time you have given.

why am i crying even tho I'm already a freshman in college
I am a freshmen in high school and by watching this it has inspired me to live every moment to the fullest from now on. I feel sorry for the seniors. I wouldn't want this to happen to the Class of 2023. But at the same time there are events my school has for the freshmen for completing their first year in high school.
