my heart is so heavy right now. being a senior, this whole situation is heart breaking. i know we talked about how we was ready to leave, but this is making us realizing we’re not. the past four years have flown by so fast and the fact it’s most likely over, is so awful. thank you for a song that ive been searching for. i needed this. for all seniors , know class of 2020 will be unforgettable.

I am not a senior but this hits hard for everyone because we were going to be doing so much fun stuff and the sad part is that our teachers thought that we would be back before we knew it and here we are not getting to finish out this year and to be honest I have never missed my teachers so much than right now I hate that everyone's school year is already ending so fast and so early I think that once we get back to school we are going to be crying and happy to see everyone I feel like the school districts are going to make major changes I hate that the people who were supposed to graduate this year I pray and hope it will go back to normal before we know it. My brothers are in 8th grade and another brother is in 5th grade and they are not going to be able to graduate because of this

Hey we made it to our final year in our teenage years. We studied, learned, cheered, talked with so many talented people in the last 4 years. You hugged your friends knowing things will be okay. You laughed and made dumb decisions that were worth it at the end of the day. Going to every game and cheering on and making other schools jealous. Making it to class before the bell rings and getting senioritis for the first time. Remember every moment. They are not lost, they are in your heart and mind. Those memories will stay there forever. Everything is not lost. Our happiness isnt either. Seniors we made it, we graduated way before this even happened. Your faith and strength kept you going so why stop now. Be happy you made it and cheer on enjoy the rest of your life. Theres more to come...just wait....our future is waiting for us at the end.

I’m a parent of a 2020 graduate. Never thought that it would be the last time to pick up my baby from high school. I’m so sad and my heart breaks for my son and all the 2020 graduates. This is a beautiful bittersweet song.

On the first word I died inside I started crying. I know I’m not a senior and I am in year 6 (so I am 11) but everyone forgets about us. We’ve had sats cancelled, we leave all our friends because we go to different high schools, we were supposed to go on holiday together twice this year, we don’t get our leavers assembly, we don’t get our leavers party, we can’t walk out of church hand in hand for the last time and we might not see the rest of the school ever again. Why does corona have to ruin our year that was supposed to be the best. But we have to believe in god and pray to him if we all believe in him he will make this better for us x

I am a college senior but I relate to this. I am graduating in 2020.
So, today my states governor stated, all schools are cancelled for the rest of the year.... As a 2020 Senior, this is so devastating..... I looked forward to the fun parts of senior year. Prom, graduation, senior ditch day... Now we are all unsure if we will even get any of that. It really sucks. And this song really hits home.... I believe everything good comes out of a difficult time. I mean as a 2020 senior I did not picture my last school year like this... but this pandemic has a lesson. I took so much for granted. I gripped and growled about going to school everyday. And I wish I didn’t. It’s eye opening that everything can get taken away so quickly. 2020 seniors I really understand what you are going through. Just remember there is so much good in this world.
She has an amazing voice...and this is such a sweet thing to do... To all you Seniors out there, I know that this is hard...but Maya Angelou once said that "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." It's not what you do at the end of your Senior year that really matters, it's the lasting imprint that you leave there...like a smile or a laugh or your kindness...those are the things that you will be remembered for...
Crying when I hear this song because it hits me on a personal level we enter the world in 2001 when 9/11 happen now we are set free with a pandemic that we are fighting thanks for the beautiful song that I needed to hear.
I feel sorry sorry for seniors. But also my heart breaks for the 5th graders and 8th graders (us school system). The 5th graders are leaving elementary and going into middle school. They are going to miss out on those final field day, or the last day on the playground. And their graduation walk. And what about 8 graders? They are leaving middle school going to high school. They have to miss their school trip and their last day at middle school and their last school dance at middle school. I feel like we ain’t talking about this and it sucks...because those are also big moments in a person/child life.
Jazmin Gutierrez yeah I get that. I’m going to be a junior next year. And let me tell you something about high school. Breathe. Relax. And don’t stress. It’s going to be a change. But once you get the hang of things. It’s easy sailing. Just take one day at a time.

I had gotten sick at the end of my senior year last year and was not able to go prom and was going to go with my junior friend but that ended up falling through. Well my friend asks me to go with him this year before everything was changed and now we’re both sad we missed our senior prom. I know we have all our memories and we will be there to make more. I feel worse for those that are missing this year because they are missing other active that make senior year.
I’m not senior but I’m a year 11 in the uk and this year everyone says they can’t wait to be done with school and everything but this has made us all realise none of us are really ready to leave that last 5 years of our life behind and ita heartbreaking. :(

I’m from a small town and it’s easy to feel like this is only happening to me, but hearing this helps me realize and and remember I’m not alone in this and there are so many seniors going through the exact same thing. Thank you so much for this it’s given me some comfort during this lonely time.❤️
Listened with my 6th grader. She relates deeply, especially having been in a language immersion program with the same set of classmates since kindergarten. She wishes she could say goodbye to elementary before growing up.

My heartbreaks right now being a senior at my school because we can not have a graduation we wanted and not being able to see our teachers anymore. I didn't ever think that March 13th was going to be my last day.
This entire thing has taught me not to take things for granted, like I didn’t know that my last time seeing my friends before I leave for college was going to be my last time, I thought I still had months of school left for that, now I don’t know when I’ll see my friends next, some I might not even get the chance to ever see again. There’s no seniors events like the senior breakfast and the last walk and prom that I’ve been waiting years to do since I first saw them freshman year, they baby cancelled the prom yet but this is a pandemic, there’s no way we could risk our health to do a prom and the virus is only infecting more and more people. Worst of all, there might be seniors out there who won’t even make it graduation because they might have lost the battle trying to fight off the corona virus. I started balling right from the beginning when she started singing because this entire situation is confusing and heartbreaking for everyone. I know a lot of people think that’s it’s a cool break from school but for seniors it truly hits different ( and let’s not forget those who were supposed to graduate college as well, this was their year too). I just wanna tell anyone whose read this far to stay safe and blessed and hopefully this virus can stay clear from as many people and families as possible, God bless.
Dear class of 2020..we had are ups and downs are drama we had are silly goofy teachers and are party’s are memories...but..I will never get to see you pass this grade I won’t be able to see you walk on there and say a speech to anybody we won’t have a fair well assembly you never realize..how much you miss something until its gone my silly fun memories from there my teachers everything...I miss it..I never got to say goodbye.l.and I can’t again..I dint get to hug you or even say thank you..I miss you all to the people who talked behind my back who loved me hated me dint know me thank you...made me an amazing person this was the experience I can’t go do again...it’s like a rollercoaster you can’t ride again...it was so fun to be on it with you all and I don’t want this to be the goodbye we have but it’s what I can do to say thank you for this amazing year..thank you so much.

I know this ain’t as significant as Senior year. But I’m currently in grade 8. My year has COMPLETELY been ruined. First it started with the teachers striking where I am. For about a month of school we only went 2 or 3 days a week. Then, this happened about a week after the whole thing was resolved... my volleyball was cancelled.. everything.. anyways, my heart goes out to all the people out there who can’t have that special day that was taken because of this awful virus..❤️💙

All of you sit down. you’re acting like you’ re somehow superior just for being older than this literal child. you realise that you are saying that your graduation is more important and such a big deal more than this child which is completely ironic considering there is a currently a global epidemic killing thousands of people, but you have the entitlement to believe that you can go round and say that your graduation it somehow more important than this kid‘s graduation. completely empathise with you and your feelings but you can’t say that this kid is graduation is more important than your while a deadly virus is killing thousands. It’s just hypocrisy.
This absolutely breaks my heart I had to drop out of my senior year a week before all of this started I didn’t cry I didn’t care until it slowly hit me everything I had was gone I’ll never have the chance for a prom or a normal graduation. For weeks I have sat and cried as my heart is slowly breaking my prayers go out to the other seniors we are strong we will prove everyone we can make it through this. Our stories aren’t over yet keep your head up and keep going because the next chapter of your life will be starting very soon. Stay strong. (And for my four friends who died in the crash and will never be able to graduate we are all doing this for you fly high guys)

All of our events and school got cancelled not that long ago. In addition, we were told that our graduation won't even be virtual or live. Instead, it'll just be a recorded video honoring us. They're still making us pay for our cap and gowns too. This sucks bro :/
