- IMPORTANT: okay i honestly don't know where to start ( or if anyone even reads my descriptions ) but here we go!! i made this video LAST YEAR when i was a graduating senior, but couldn't post it until now. this is by far my favorite video i've ever made, and after watching it alone in my room on repeat for a year, i decided to post it. to be completely honest, i hated high school. i didn't have many close friends in my grade, and faced relentless bullying, harassment, and discrimination from both "teammates" and administration, which ultimately led to being on suicide-watch in a psychiatric hospital. i originally didn't want to post this video because i felt it would be lying. i did not want to post a montage that made high school out to be "the best years of ( my / our ) life", because that simply isn't true. however, with all of that being said, there are absolutely moments and memories from high school that deserve to be remembered. i wanted to make this video and tell my story to help someone, because high school is hard. cheerleading for the football team and performing under the friday night lights is a feeling i'll never forget. being nominated for homecoming queen while in the mental hospital?? i'll never forget it. over the past year, i've been focusing on myself, becoming my own person, and coping with the psychological trauma that i faced before. i'm posting this video now to make peace with a four-year experience that showed me that there is always good and happiness in the world, even at your lowest points. high school taught me how to be kind when others are not, but mostly it made me realize that i am strong, resilient, and that i can. this is how i'll remember high school.

American high school seems like so many events, here in Germany you go home by 1 pm, no sports clubs or proms or that. Just go home and chill with friends lol

I usually don’t go to the events since I don’t really have friends there with me that and cause I’m anti social. As well as embarrassed about being fat so yeah but I moved to another school and my daily walk to it will basically be my workout to lose weight while I search for a good diet plan

2 years into high school: I absolutely hate it here. But I’m moving before junior year, so I’m determined to make the most out of my last two years.
As a recent graduate, I say you should do it. It may take some effort to put yourself out there, but in the end, you won’t regret it.

Most people say, college is the best time of your life. You have all the freedom, the struggles without them being overwhelming, it’s perfect. High school is the step below. Just because you’re graduating high school, doesn’t mean it’s over yet. I’m a freshmen and I’m savoring every day, try and take atleast 10 minutes a day thinking of things your great full and nostalgia.

Just be you, people come and go but never lose yourself, enjoy and keep each moment and memory close!!! Also have fun!!!! Don’t let people’s opinions take you down, you’ll find your people, and don’t take time trying to find a significant other, they’ll come in your path and you’ll know who’s right for you! Don’t always document things on your phone, sure it’s great to have pictures and post things sometimes but take in the little moments, trust me on that one! And try to stay motivated, it’s gonna get hard to want to study, go out of the house, get out of bed, everything but keep pushing! Also if people want you in their life they’ll make time for you! don’t feel pressured to do what everyone else does, lots of people think you have to wear or eat certain things, and if you don’t feel comfortable doing things like idk drinking, sneaking out or whatever you don’t have to do it, it’s ok not to be like everyone. I feel like imma start repeating things I’ve already said bc I talk to much but if theirs anything else you need advice on just lmk:)
the only peace of advice i could give it to be kind! But don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. Friend groups aren’t everything. Just focus on you and the good ones will come around! Live in the moment, and just make the most of everything!
honestly- i just finished my freshman year, just enjoy it all and try to meet new people. it’s rly easy to get distracted and lose who u are but it’ll end up being great. (but algebra sucks lol)
Don’t do things without thinking about what it could do, because after you do it you can’t go back and change it as it’s already been done. Apply this specifically towards friendships and relationships.
I am too! I personally don’t have any tips except for (hearing from other people) to become friends with upperclassman and stay true to yourself.. like I’ve already became friends with some upperclassmen and I can tell, it will be so much better. goodluck, from one incoming freshman to another :)

I’m a junior in highschool on my last day of school. This video made me so emotional as a ton of my senior friends are leaving. Make the most of it!! Even if you don’t have many friends or people to go out with, still go outside by yourself! Get comfortable with being by yourself, it definitely is a life changer! And honestly stay on your A game so you have higher chances of getting into any college or university you want, just take it day by day bc by the end of it, you won’t even stress or worry about the days when it was hard :)

I don’t mean to downplay the pain of losing these moments to covid, especially when Disney channel etc. really hypes them up lol, but I assure you that you will have many peaks beyond high school ❤️ there’s so much to look forward too! Regardless of whether you go to college, work, whatever - you have yet to meet some of your favorite people, go to your new favorite places, and make some of your best memories. I studied in India school was zero fun it was always about “education” and we didn’t even have gym, but at least I didn’t have any of these annoying responsibilities and stress then😕

Class of 2019 here. As high school sinks further and further into distant memory, I find myself missing it even more. But times change. And you have to move on
I spent my high school years studying so hard to end up in a decent college, but I didn't enjoy those years. Now I'm trying to enjoy college.
Back when I was in school I told myself time will go slow but it felt like it was yesterday. I had friends and fun moments but i didn’t like the work and essays but that’s the point of school. looking back school was actually fun for me especially my high school years but sadly it got cut off by COVID and didn’t go as expected and we didn’t have a graduation ceremony so we had to pick up our diplomas at school.

I'll be a junior in high-school this year, sophomore year sucks but the thing i enjoy the most is the memories I have made with my friends that have made me laugh till I cry and feel pure happiness in my heart. Even though the school work can be tough and teachers can be bad, cherish every moment of school, we only have so long and it goes faster every year.
Update: 1 month left of junior year. The year was by far the best academically but awful socially. Try your hardest to make friends, don't throw away relationships for the best grades. I did that and I regret it. For the first time in a long time I don't know what the next school year holds for me. It's going fast.

Hey enjoy your time. You're gonna be surprised by how fast times go by and how much can change in the span of a year. Hang out with good people and don't become a therapist friend. It is tiring and emotionally draining. Also just be kind because if you're not chances are you're gonna feel terrible after awhile. Also just have lots of fun try to hang out with friends after school and don't let people take advantage of you. Also you're a kid don't get caught up with boys to much and don't make them your world or some stuff like that. So many of my friends learned the hard way so yeah. Anyway I wish you the best of luck and be careful and I hope your middle school years go better than mine!
Also don't let people in your grade or older people convince you to do drugs. I've seen many of my friends become addicted to it.

I'm the class of 2010. I miss it a lot. Like really a lot. The popularly, the people, the drama, the love, the spirit. Wish time travel was possible. Having over 1000 people scream for you at the prep allies. My phone NEVER stopped ringing. I was a living God. Then you realize after your final day senior year, that door behind you closed forever. Your presence in person is no longer there. My name is still on the banners in the gym even after 11 years. That's my legacy. I created my own. Make yours happen to.

@@hinklefamily1831 it’s basically hell, clubs? we don’t have this, we don’t have “sport teams”, we don’t have any activities besides school work and homework (and we can’t do stuff because we are so drained afterwards), we don’t have proper weekends because we have school on Saturdays, it can sound so dramatic but we don’t have lockers or anything we just carry books around, P.E is the only time when we can have a break, and the education system is just bad like they try to change it every 5 years (like the exams we take to graduate) but it never works, and they don’t care about you succeeding, they won’t help you with anything
There is probably good stuff and bad stuff everywhere, but I’ve never meet a person who likes school or who is sad it’s over, in France.
I don’t want to brag or anything, but I’m a very positive and smart person and I’m very happy to be learning new things everyday but even the smart ones don’t like school here…
Even breaks here feel like homeschool with all the stuff we have to do.
And only 40% of French kids go to uni after high school, it’s not that common…
In the video it seemed so fun but I know it’s not like that everyday so I guess I’ll just have to stop complaining 😂

Believe it or not, as much as this clip takes clips from all the big end of year ceremonies, this looks really accurate to personal US school experience and I even come from a poor school. I also know from a friend some schools in the UK have less restrictions
@@hinklefamily1831 A year abroad is actually a great idea but it’s not that common here. It’s usually very expensive or you can’t get to the organisation because you are not from a private school… I knew about exchange students only from movies or TH-cam videos, nobody talks about it and it’s not always accessible to everyone. I only have one year left so I don’t worry about it too much but we try to protest and everything, we’ll see where it goes 🤷🏼♀️

Class of 2016 here and man, high school was something else. It was full of love and hate, and now it's just bittersweet in a good way. Being with my group of friends smoking and rollerblading, the trips, got to be with my crush for a good bit and got to experience other relationships, the late night group phone conversations, feeling the future was mine, and just everything else that made those bittersweet good ol' days amazing. What's crazy as that now after almost 6 years I don't even talk to any of em anymore except for one, I'm in a completely different area, new girlfriend, new friends, new passions and hobbies, etc. For those still in high school I would say enjoy it while you can because after high school AND college, shit is just different. Gonna be 24 years old in May and man I can't believe how much has come and gone and come and gone and come again in these last six years for me. Everything will change for you, and that's okay 👍enjoy it, even the new.
I’m class of 2019 an even though it’s only been 3 years I still get nostalgic by watching these videos. I really do wish I can relive those 4 years of high school but those days are gone forever😭
I don’t know what everyone was talking about my high school experience was sh*t. I am not gonna miss any second of it. Cant wait to graduate next year.
