How lovely to catch up with you Kelly. You are a pleasure to watch. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to chat with me( that’s how I feel, just a hat with a friend) . X
Oh how lovely to have you back! So sorry you’ve been so poorly and glad you’re feeling better. As always, love all your projects and feel very inspired- thank you xxxx
So lovely to see you again Kelly. That quilt is absolutely stunning and agree should be used and enjoyed. Enjoyed seeing all your projects, thank you for keeping me company whilst I worked on my Xmas socks xx
Your quilt top is gorgeous! So cheerful and will be very comforting once it’s all finished. This past year I’ve made 3 quilts, one for a friend and 2 for us. Instead of making a large quilt to cover the whole bed, I decided to make both quilts more mid-size in width so now each of us have 1 on our side of the bed…..no more fighting over the blanket in the middle of the night 😂. Except for the one for my friend, the other two are scrappy and I could’t love them more. Always wonderful to watch your videos. You’ve got so many “jobs” and responsibilities, I appreciate whenever you find time to post another visit. Energy balls are essential!!! Take care. 💕
Hi Esther, separate bed covers/ quilts are essential to a happy marriage🤣 i would love to see your quilts if you would send me pictures. Lots of love my dear friend xx
Energy bars and Pepsi are just the thing. I am presently making a Christmas fabric sting quilt from my guild workshop. Yours is so pretty, mine will be ok. Perfect timing for me that you showed us yours. Glad you are on the mend.❤️🩹
Thank you so much for the catch up! Adore the quilt, something I always think I should try, but there are simply not enough hours in the days … Am totally with you on the energy balls, seeds and nuts really don’t have the same effect (or taste 😉).
All your makes are fabulous Kelly and that quilt is stunning. The colours are absolutely amazing together. I bought a jelly roll recently and was wondering what I could make with it and now I know. The only thing is I’m a complete beginner. I have never made anything before so I would love to see how you make the blocks and how you put them together. Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Many many thanks for all your hard work.
Lovely to see you back I’ve been watching your retreat videos that have been post by the girls and really tempted to book a place for next year as specially as I don’t live a million miles away. 🥰
Hi Kelly. Lovely to catch up with you. So inspiring to see your beautiful quilt. Will look forward to watching your videos in December to show how you make it. Love your tank top. Such a beautiful colour too. Your yarn club yarn is lovely. 😊
Lovely to see you back Kelly, you are such a joy to watch 😊 Thank you for keeping me company this afternoon 💕 Your quilt top is an absolute stunner and I love that it will keep Jeff cosy and maybe one day become part of a blanket fort! 😘
Kelly! Your projects are stunning! That quilt is gorgeous. Absolutely use them for every day. I have quilts that took me ages to make and they get hammered but I know every stitch is a gift of love from me to my family. Appliques cover the worn bits! Laughed and cried with you again - you are so good for the soul. xxxxx
It’s been lovely to spend time with you again Kelly - very sorry that you’ve been so unwell. The yarn clubs sounds so exciting - can’t wait to found out more! Take good care of yourself. xx
@ we have our final retreat this weekend Val, after that I should be free to write these sort of things into something legible! I will send it on to you.
Hello dear Kelly- I’m so very happy to see you back again- what a nasty time you’ve had with Covid!! 🦠 I love the sound of your Yarn Clubs for next year- I’ve never participated in one before so do you have to subscribe to the whole year or can you just buy the ones you want? I’d love to come to one of your retreats and I loved dear Belle’s episode when she came to Ironbridge ❤ but living out here in the colonies 😂 ( Tasmania) it does make a rather long trip! But never say never! And talking about DK blankets- have you seen the “Little Squares Knitted Blanket” by Julie Harrison? It’s all garter and just beautiful 😍 have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing you again soon xx
🥰😆 Kelly!!! Your cute face at the beginning! 😆 SO glad you're back amongst us and feeling better. I'm so sorry to hear about your Covid situation but thrilled that you're back. 😁 Your projects are gorgeous - that quilt top is stunning and sweet Geoff is going to love it. 🥰 Your knitting is gorgeous - and that advent calendar for your daughter is SO beautiful!!!!🤩 I just love & adore you - thanks for keeping me company today!!!!! 🥰😘❤️
Kelly, I think it would be absolutely grand if you would share your process in making your quilt squires during Vlog mass I would jump for joy🎉🎉🎉 I always enjoy visiting with you, sweet friend❤
So lovely to spend this snowy afternoon with you Kelly. Your projects are all beautiful but especially love your quilt. I laughed out loud at your comment re energy balls as I was muching my way through a finger of fudge! Take care of yourself, Covid is a horrid virus and hangs around too long. 😊
Lovely to catch up with you, Kelly, I really enjoyed my first woollay retreat, COVID aside 🤣 I hope you are feeling better now, I didn’t even want to knit so I must have been poorly 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Ashley, it was so lovely spending the weekend with you. Like you I didn’t craft for about 3 weeks, nor did I desire to do any. I knew it would always be temporary though x
What a treat to have you back and see and your lovely projects and yarn. Especially love your quilt top, will have to go through my fabric stash and see what I have. In our house quilts and for our four legged friends too 🐾
Hi Kelly, I'm so happy to see you back. I did wonder if you were ok but didn't know how to reach out and ask. Very excited to hear about the clubs 🎉. I also have my fingers crossed for the retreat in May, I will be coming to the UK for my Mother's birthday🤞. Your smiling face and joyful energy has set me up for another day of gift knitting❤ thank you
Great to see you back, Kelly. And Geoff of course!! The shawl you are knitting is beautiful. I'm with you on the energy balls!! Looking forward to your next podcast. x
Oh Kelly, it’s so good to see you again and hopefully nearly fully recovered. And catch up with all of your different makes, just beautiful each and every one. The only knit worthy people in my family are my husband (socks, but now he wants a sleeveless jumper, he’s a strapping lad …) and my granddaughter (bed socks and boot socks) so obviously we three have many pairs of socks! This is good because it’s rugby season and I can knit socks in my sleep never mind watching rugby 😂. Next year sounds very exciting! Take care of yourself. Xx
Love all your ambitious ideas and the fact you are happy with the knowledge that you may not follow through, makes it OK for me to have the same thoughts! You have a wonderful family business and access to wonderful yarny friends! May might be a month I could come to a retreat!! Have family to the north and south of Ironbridge so it could be doable!! Thanks for the diaries! Jane
Hello again, friend. A lovely way to spend the evening. Some quilts are works of art, but originally quilts had a practical purpose just as yours has. Enjoy the quilts, eat the chocolates, knit (or not 😂) the DK blankets x
Aww Kelly, so chuffed to see you back ❤ I have been checking in waiting for you to pop up. Glad you are feeling better! Can’t wait for next week to spend time with you again, take care x
Such a lovely way to spend the evening in your company 🥰 The new clubs sound very exciting! Beautiful colours in the first yarns. I’m wondering if it’s a dahlia-themed club? That would be so lovely and a great reminder of my dad. He loved growing dahlias and at one time grew more than 100 varieties. The garden was an absolute riot of colour!
Glad you’re feeling better, finally! It’s not a nice thing to have. Quite agree about quilts are for using. I think my dogs and the grandkids have more or my quilts than anypawdy! I finally started my Ruthie today. It’s so soft. Lovely. X
Lovely to see you back again. Sometimes life just gets in the way, im happy you are back and it looks like people had a blast at your retreats. I wish it wasn't such a hike to get to you (🤣)
First time viewer of your videos. So sorry you've been unwell and glad you are on the mend. I loved listening to what you've been knitted and so excitedly looking forward to your yarn release in the new year. Kx
It is scary how quickly Covid can lay you low!! I have watched everyone's podcasts about the retreat and it sounds absolutely PERFECT!! LOVE the colors of your quilt!! The Advent Calendar is gorgeous and you wouldn't be good parents if you didn't test out the candy....just to be sure it is quality before gifting! :) :) Looking forward to the 2025 additions!!! :) Will take your advice for Christmas sustenance to heart!! :)
❤❤take care Kelly,,,,,so sorry u were unwell,!!! So enjoyed ur sweet visit,,,, I am addicted to energy balls,,,,haha😂 Love seeing all ur projects,,,, ELAINE 🏠💗
It’s so good to see you back Kelly ❤ Oh my goodness your sewing is gorgeous and what a beautiful advent calender! I’m the same with blanket projects, I start them and they stay as a wip forever 😅 Your new club yarn is gorgeous too. Is it a dahlia theme? I’ll definitely look out for that one 😍
Lovely catch up Kelly, glad to hear you are feeling better. I’m currently enjoying knitting fingerless gloves for gifts using Hurkle Durkle and they’re looking fab. Hopefully the recipients will love them as much as I do. 🥰
So glad you're feeling better, but look after yourself, the after effects of the lurgy are long lasting😷 I'm looking forward to the new clubs, you're a teaser. If you need a crochet shawl sample, I'd love to make one for you. I've volunteered my services before, when we met at Wonderwool. I love the block printing, and the quilt is so very pretty. You're so creative. I must confess that I will have to replace some Christmas choccies too 😂 I have zero willpower.
Thanks Kelly, good content as usual . Umm we too have opened the Christmas sweets whoops!! I’ll pass on the bird seed ones for energy, 😂 I would be interested in the recipe for the mitts. Xx
I guess technically i am not a yellow belly, I moved there when i was about 7 or 8. Lived there until i was 21 when i moved to Birmingham with Nick. I love the county though.x

I agree about the energy balls! In the YSA here I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs or Christmas Trees. I also love Red Balls aka Lindt Milk Chocolate melt in your mouth red ball. And you know I have never heard anyone getting sick with e-coli from eating chocolate!😂 right now the slivered onions on McDonald’s burgers and most recently Organic Carrots have given people e-coli in the USA here. Eating healthy can kill you! 😂
Lovely video, that quilt top is amazing, looking forward to seeing how you did it in your December videos because I'd be tempted to have a go at making one myself.can I ask what pattern your vest is please? Shelley
Hi Shelley, I will definately film how i make the quilt. The vest is the Stockholm slipover by petite knit. It’s Aran weight, so good and cosy for this time of year.
