SUPER EASY AFTER SCHOOL SNACK iDEA 😉😋

- These protein snacks we’re so easy to make, this is actually the second time I’ve made him for Robert. He gets really hungry during the day when he’s working so he likes me to make these because when he can’t stop for lunch, he can just grab a couple and it’ll tied them over till he can’t eat.
Here is the recipe for these after school or in between meals high protein snacks :
Ingredients:
1 cup of old fashioned oats
1/2 cup of all natural peanut butter
1/2 cup of superseed, or just flaxseed
1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips
1/3 cup of honey
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
2/3 cup of unsweetened coconut, toasted in the oven
Directions:
Combine all of your ingredients into a large bowl, roll them into half dollar sizes. Store them in a container for the fridge. It’s as easy as that.
This is a great idea for a quick after school snack, with good ingredients and lots of protein. It’s something your kids can just grab it be on their way. This is great for busy kids who don’t like to stop and eat. 😉😉

Side note if they crumble when you roll them either add a little more peanut butter or honey . But just setting it in the fridge for 10 minutes work’s usually. (Before rolling them )

I make a version of this probably twice a month,for lunch treats , travel snack , hold over til dinner ya know 😊. I omit the coconut, and use flax and chia seeds . Also switch up with honey or pure maple syrup (the honey does work better ) both are delicious. I may add some sliced almonds and just break them up a little in my fingers . We make a chocolate orange version of these - my favorite! I add everything using a scale so I don’t have to wash a bunch of cups and extra bowls. Soooo much faster.

Love absolutely love how dedicated you are to your children! If my father and stepmother has been is dedicated to me when I was a teenager I would have turned out a little bit differently I'm sure of it. Your children are so very lucky and blessed that they have you and your husband to parent them❤😊❤
That’s not always true, each child has there own personality, perspective and will. No matter how loving, caring and dedicated you are to your children they must each find there own way I’m speaking from experience. I have 6 children the youngest is in their first year of college and most of my babies do practice what we modeled and tried to instill as core values however I have two that are finding their own way because they have chosen to do everything the opposite! So I pray 🙏🏽 and I’m a listening ear and I try to let what they do not hurt me so much but I have to give it to God and leave it at his feet. I wish you blessings and joy and remember you can always call your father now and start a renewed relationship! It’s never to late! ❤️

Have you ever considered putting protein powder in? I put it in a very similar recipe to yours.
I usually make mine with chick peas, but will try this way.

I make a granola bar recipe very similar to this it may even be the exact same ingredients. I recently bought all the stuff to make them and in place of the honey I got agave I’m not sure if it’s going to work out and I’ll have to play with it to see how much to use. I think the honey is the flavor my oldest daughter doesn’t like about them. My youngest loves them as is I’ve been making them for her since she was a small toddler when she had to go gluten free I found the recipe and tried it. She’s loved them since I started making them. Do you or anyone have an opinion on the agave or any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

This is a great snack. Just be careful with the hemp seeds with any CDL drivers
I use food grade gloves in the kitchen...they look yummy
So do I use quick oats or old fashion oats.
She said in the beginning she used Old Fashioned but you can use the Quick Oats..however if you use the Quick ones they cam become soggy.
Do you have a dishwasher?
I use a bar stool as much as possible. Less wear on your back.
What does the superseed do for you
