as you can hear by this karaoke track over the credits at the end, there is SO MUCH happening underneath the lead vocals! as a patron we get a full karaoke track to every song, and it's so interesting getting to hear all those little details. especially the intricacies of Geoff's bass line and Layne's percussion, they're so much more intricate than people are aware of because they get hidden behind the powerful lead vocals. Geoff is bouncing all over the place at lightning speed, Layne is just an alien and the other guys are working their butts off laying down all their intricate harmonies.
as for the rooftop, no they're not actually on a rooftop. Eli built the "wall" himself, he designed the background in Unreal Engine for the LED screens, and he and the guys decorated the set floor to look like a rooftop.

They’re in a facility with a full walls of computer screens and Eli did the digital background. It’s where they did Valhalla Calling. Although at least this time the ac was working
Thanks for the info! Yeah, ac in FL is a really good idea. They probably have to turn it off while the cameras are rolling so the mics don't pick up the noise (standard when working on an indoor set). Those screens are amazing! So much detail and the guys don't have that little line around them because of the greenscreen process, Very cool!

Yeah, you saw Anthony with VoicePlay on the 7 Nation Army cover. He's worked with them on a couple other songs, including Radiohead's Creep, done a bunch of shorts with them also.

Acapella groups like this were not on my radar before I started listening to reactions. Now, I just love them. These guys in particular has so much talent and such stage presence. This was a good one. By the way, Bill, love the beard. I am, however, waiting for you to Marko it.
Same here. Funny though, I know a guy in a barbershop quartet and he was always trying to get me to join- don't know why I'm really not much of a singer- but I never did. I'm relatively certain they don't sound like these guys! Then again, who does?
I love doing the beard like Marko's although he gets those perfect squiggles. Like lightning bolts from Thor's hammer! Problem is, I can't do it by my onesies. I'll have to get Nancy to do the braids and add the runes.

Loved your reaction. I usually listen to the premiere if I can, then listen another 3-12X depending on the complexity and my mood & ears: and THEN on to the reactors, to find out what they hear. You're right, it's all so complex and there's so much to listen to... it can be difficult to direct my attention. I feel like a little kid, yelling "shiny!" as I skip around. ADHD doesn't help. But what a FEAST this one is!

Thank you for the pronunciation! I just read the credits and it says, filmed at Vu Studio, Orlando. If filmed in a studio there are two ways to create those visuals: Wall-sized LED screens like they use in some TV shows like The Mandalorian (it's called The Volume and is a large circle of screens that images are projected on. Or, it's using greenscreens and adding the images in post. Most of their videos are sets constructed for the video or, like Seven Nation Army, they are on an actual location. There is a credit for a 'Virtual Production Supervisor" which means it's likely a greenscreen. Thank you, my friend! ❤️

Gar-jewl'-la. I had never heard the original but I am having a blast with all my reactors impressed with VoicePlay as usual.
They always impress me. They blow my mind and send shivers down my spine! Of all the Soundgarden songs, Black Hole Sun, albeit their biggest hit, was never on my top 5 list of Soundgarden songs. I love this version so much!

Did you pick up on the Subharmonic growl earlier in the video? I was lucky enough to catch this video a couple minutes after they posted it and OMG, Mind Blown. It does Soundgarden's song more than Justice... it shoots it into the Atmosphere and sparks it. ❤
