I actually got suprised with this. I had just logged into TH-cam JUUUSSST as they dropped it. WOW! Mind Blown. It's fun to watch this the moment it locked in. Everyone's reaction videos make my day. 😂
Awesome thank you! I must admit I do feel like some kind of supercharged fan. haha I love checking the premieres out, and in this case it's a bonus to edit my own videos, so I can just keep working right after the recording
@@ThalesMusicCorner Also, wasn’t Anthony phenomenal? He’s like 18 years old at this point. Not only is his voice incredible, he blends with Voiceplay like he’s been doing it for decades
@@Wildecat10 you are right. I researched him and learned that he was born April 30th, 1999. Making him 24 years old. That being said, I believe it still stands that he is still talented beyond his years.
So good to see you at the premier! Did you know that their facial prosthetics started out all black? After they were put on, Rick and Ronette painstakingly painted on the gold/silver highlights. Just a little BTS tidbit. 🌇. (Fruit phones don’t really lend themselves to cyberpunk!)
Hey Thale! It was awesome seeing you in the chat for the premiere. 😁 Isn't it just fantastic?! I've been so impatiently waiting for this one to drop since they premiered it on Patreon. Glad you enjoyed it. 🤖
This cover sounds better and better every time I listen to it. The boys go all out, and I know I have said it before, but they just keep getting better and better with each cover they do. I am familiar with the original, and it really does nothing for me, but this is amazing and complicated and just wow. Eli did amazing with the arrangement of this one. Absolutely amazing! Great reaction!
I don’t think that was a whistle tone from Anthony. I think it was just his head voice 😮 Hes such an incredible vocalist! And of course everything VoicePlay does… I hope you are going to review Were Good soon 😅
That's just so amazing, love his voice. I've checked out We're Good today, and with the poll schedule it'll drop in exactly one week. Next friday, and it's probably no big surprise that I really liked it
VoicePlay's version has the guys' voices rocking out so much harder than SoundGarden's voices. I much prefer this vocally. Now SoundGarden did have the 'rock' in the instruments, but I admit that they didn't inspire me back then (or now). I always found the singing a bit repetitive. Didn't catch my emotions like this does. My fave part of the original was the distorted bass playing alongside the guitar solo. I didn't even especially care about the guitar there. And VoicePlay has captured that electric bass perfectly! Truthfully, I was listening more to Everclear and Offspring in the '90s. I heard this song on altRock radio, but it never excited me enough to listen closely to the lyrics. I must admit that I kind of thought the lyric was 'Black OLD Sun'. I much prefer this!
They really did an amazing job on this one, so great. I also really like this one so much more. The original is moody yet not, in a way. I say that as a person that actually likes the original. haha So it is so well known kinda just because it somehow became a hit back then. I did also "survive on" Offspring at that time as well, and I wore out my Smash CD because it was in my disc-man at all times.
My only previous exposure to this song, was via Weird Al Yankovic. Weird Al has always included, on each album, a track that mashes a bunch of songs together, runs them through a grinder, and turns them into a polka. I don't like polka, and so I normally don't listen to the polka tracks. But the first album of his that I ever had a copy of, was Bad Hair Day, and because it was the first one, I hadn't yet learned that every album has one polka track and I can just skip it. So I actually listened to the track, and yeah, Black Hole Sun was in there. But it didn't sound like this. At all. I don't think I've ever heard the original. If someone had asked me what Soundgarden is, I would have guessed it was software. It sounds like it should be the name of a MIDI sequencer or something.
Weird Al's mashups are often very funny. :) Haha, it really does sound like something like that. While I do like the original, this one is far better in my opinion
Two things have now been confirmed. 1st Voiceplay is no longer human, 2nd the Rabbit Holes was in fact a Black Hole all this time. No wonder everyone gets sucked in and can't get out. And we're loving every single second. 🦆👩🎤🧑🎤👨🎤🤖🦆 (closest I could come)😊
that is absolutely true. I should, but I can't quite remember who said that originally. Some sci-fi author, or scientist. The urge to google before I reply is strong. :P
I didn't know this song so I went and watched the original. Very disturbing video. Also looked at Wikipedia to get a handle on it. This is one I'm going to have watch a few times I think before I know how I feel about it. I'm old you see. Outside my comfort zone.
They create a karaoke track for their patrons, melody line removed. That's what was playing at the end.
That's really cool. :) So glad they do stuff like that as well
I love how you giggle (from goosebumps?) every time Geoff hits a deep, low note or Layne's beatboxing does something extraordinary. 🤣
a mix of goosebumps and actual tingles in my brain and on my spine. hard to explain. haha
I have been listening to this on repeat! Absolutely love this. 🌹🕊
It was so amazing. Really love it, and it'll definitely do some rounds on my stereo as well

Yeah. I did end up googling it: Arthur C. Clarke is at least credited for it, and that meshes well with my recollection of it.
