There was actually a fourth "green" piping. The fourth was a grass green for the Jager which were the Alpine ski troops. The green was lighter than mountain and administration. I have all four.

👍Wow Alex thank you for posting this, wonderful collection. As a note of interest the P-40 airplane part national insignia you see the red outline that would place it between July & September 1943 this is when the US national insignia on American airplanes had a red border painted around the star & bar, you also see how this red border was over painted with dark blue, very cool to see that. Nice Report. But the World War I helmet with the ear cutout is not intended for headphones but to allow the wearer to hear better under the helmet. To be honest, the auctioneer has some deficits in the subject-specific knowledge. 🤔
