You show a visor cap at 14:50 that is an Allgermine with an apparant Army eagle. My father brought one home with him as a souvenir that had the same setup as that, and I was told 30 years ago that it was incorrect. My father was a tanker in the 3rd armored , Spearhead, and had 3 bronze stars for Normandy, Norhern France, and Ardennes.
There's always a bunch of moron quote-unquote experts. My dad brought home a German medic helmet painted. Some guys told me it was fake and some guy told me my dad painted it during the war so he had something special. More of these "experts" are wrong more that right.
There’s a lot of period photos showing all kings of non typical insignia worn by SS. Collectors today say it’s incorrect but if it’s from a solid source I don’t consider it wrong.
The allies came in, and used the houses and would've taken everything they could as trophies. Imagine how much stuff is out there, that families don't even know they have, or that's worth anything. Great program, very informative.
The uniforms and caps are (mostly) not from the Delich collection. Delich focussed on insignia. The auction is comprised by pieces from various collectors.
Great video Alex, when are you doing preview of 3rd auction please? Ps if some people posting say these are fake should be watching a different channel
That's right stolen, the victors' won, and of course they don't use the word stolen, but technically its stolen war material, period !! Shame shame shame on all of them .
Your ancestor started the war, you pillaged, you burnt down towns, you raped, you killed millions, you created the most horrendous crimes ever in human history and of course you stole hundreds of thousand of art, gold, jewelry, and who knows what else your ancestors done . How dare you say that !!! .. Shame on you !!! 😡
"How did he amass such a huge collection?" Umm..because back then, you could buy SS visors at the freakin 5 and dime. Nobody wanted the stuff. That's how a retired school teacher amassed a multi-million dollar collection that will now go to auction to be bought by some other septuagenarian dealer/collector.. Stop kissing the assess of these older collectors. They ruined the hobby for everyone else.
If not for them collecting this stuff and gathering information about it, it wouldn’t be around or available today. In a pre-Internet world these items were not easy to find and collections were built with great effort over time. This hobby is built on the shoulders of early collectors.
29.5 % commission.... I am curious which dealers will buy up the Delich pieces and upload them on their website a few weeks later. HH and 2024 you greedy bastards a destroying this hobby.
I know them both, but yes, very difficult to watch. You have a Russian and an Italian speaking in broken English, so for any English speaker, it's a hard watch.
Nice uniforms. The bEST!
That was one lucky solider that got permission from his CO to take about 30 medals and 2 uniforms which belonged to Ribbontrop
A lot of Ribbenstrop's stuff, papers and personal items, was packed together in a hotel in southern Germany from which this stuff was looted.
You mean one lucky thief…
Thief? No no no salty boy. Conquerer, and it’s a tradition as old as war itself.
Stolen valor wearing medals and awards you didn't earn.

Not for the average collector. This is the big boy stuff.
SS uniforms were very stylish. I once read Hugo Boss designed them
They were designed by people who made clothing for movie sets in the 1930s
It's bullshit. Boss didn't design them.
@Hori_Ado okay, do you at least agree that Hugo Boss made the uniforms?
@@feralvulcan7955 yes, they did, as one of many tailor companies those days.
@@feralvulcan7955 Hugo Boss was one of the manufacturers
Wow I’m blown away by these great historical items. I remember walking by them at sos.
Uniform interviews are always great💪👍🔥
I love the way the Italian guy speaks

Yea imagine how much has gotten thrown out by families who didn’t know or care. That’s the part that really makes me sad.
This was a very interesting video. I don’t collect SS, but I found this really informative and fascinating.

That's right stolen, the victors' won, and of course they don't use the word stolen, but technically its stolen war material, period !! Shame shame shame on all of them .
Who's your ancestors?
Your ancestor started the war, you pillaged, you burnt down towns, you raped, you killed millions, you created the most horrendous crimes ever in human history and of course you stole hundreds of thousand of art, gold, jewelry, and who knows what else your ancestors done . How dare you say that !!! .. Shame on you !!! 😡
One thing..the tiger 2 was an awful tank..too heavy poor transmission and mostly broke down in the field

Things age, and the value and collectability goes up. You can't be made for them hitting pay dirt on what became valuable.
29.5 % commission.... I am curious which dealers will buy up the Delich pieces and upload them on their website a few weeks later. HH and 2024 you greedy bastards a destroying this hobby.
His terrible English makes it very hard to watch
I know them both, but yes, very difficult to watch. You have a Russian and an Italian speaking in broken English, so for any English speaker, it's a hard watch.
It's not bad at all, use context clues and you can fill in the blanks.
I understand nearly every word tbf
All robbed and stolen!
