Collecting german ww1/ww2 stuff will always be expensive. You need to have a considerable disposable income which the people who buy this stuff obviously do
You guys are awesome this was the video in whichbl subscribed to your channel "mates" You are well versed in your knowledge and what not in the German Militaria field
Great channel Daniel just subscribed . came across the channel when you posted the visit to IWM a few months ago , enjoyed the episode where you discussed collecting for beginners and also discussed some care of collection regarding moth, i used to be collections Care and conservation for the Imperial wars museum and know the ww1 galleries very well so like you have a great dislike of moth , The pheromone traps were good advise but use sparingly as they will also attract moth if over used in too close a proximity .In the ww1 gallery i laid one every 30ft to control moth . Keep up a great channel and we need more people discussing care of collections in the collecting arena as its a bit of an after thought i always feel when i chat to collectors so keep it up .
I have a question. I have one of those German artillery caps’ what material is the visor part supposed to be? I got one and i want to make sure it’s real.
Have you ever come across the furerbrand atom 75 road marching lantern? I purchased from estate sale several months ago for 35.00 us.Were these made for a short time, getting different stories? This is mint with red globe.Price?
Hi, in a video of yours from 30 July 2020, I saw in the shop window near you, an 88 mm gun model. I would like to know if the model is for sale and if it was manufactured in the 40-45 or later Thanks
Awesome update Daniel! Does this big collection you bought have a general visor? Im on the hunt for a stone-mint general visor for my setup, and was curious if this might appear in your purchase?
Everything is very rare and in mind condition that makes me very skeptical .The Panzerjäger/Gebirgsjägeruniform are looking very ambitious this unifprms was given to motorized Tankhunters and Stugcrews never heard of this if they where attached some Beutepanzer and this was only on SS formations like Prinz Eugen the mostly wear normal green Smog or in rare cases Black panzer uniforms but this Comes from the Abtl.of Beutepanzer they came from .Normal Panzerjäger (Pak) dón´t wear that Kind of uniforns
German company ,Otter' produces the formerly popular folder with black sheet handle. This is/ was no special soldiers knife, but popular among german soldiers in both wwl and wwll.
It seems here that there are much less in numbers of the vietnam era jungle fatigues (green) with slanted pockets, than there would be of the old wool eisenhower jacket uniforms available. Given this......what do you think? And what would these cost ?
If you want a real laugh get over to Lux militaria. These guys (Regimentals) are ok , bought stuff off them for years , you need the items in context to undersand the prices , however militaria has been sky rocketing for the last 25 years. Couldnt start a collection from scratch now..
@@garyyoung9085 that is right. Ww2 and ww1 Militaria (especialy german and axis) prices are so high today that the new collectors barely can afford anything. I wonder if older collectors actualy much new stuff at these prices??? Seems like militaria is more and more for the rich people. But at the same time the coronavirus is 100% going to affect the economy, and prices are still very very high. This two things don't go together and if prices won't come down there will be a problem. I did't buy much this year but sold a lot and didn't get half as much as these prices he is asking or any other dealer. I am afraid to buy new stuff because of this corona situation.
So many things we spend money on don't last.Like food, gas, rent, and prostitutes. However, militaria lasts and you can sell it if you need food,or to pay rent,or buy gas to look for a prostitute.
Are the items you sell authenticated? I'm skeptical about everything I see no matter who is selling it. I'm under the impression that all the original authentic stuff has all been bought up and nothing original is remaining. I'm new to collecting, and all I've really been wanting is a full and authentic Sturmabteilung uniform, or at least try and piece one together. What a thing to try and find. This has been a rather disappointing and seemingly impossible endevour. Trying not to get jaded before I even get my niche.
Having experience handling originals is something which can only happen over time from being in the hobby. Make an effort to visit military collector shows and or dealers like Regimentals where you can see the item up close. But to answer your question from the point of view of an experienced collector, everything he shows in this video is 100% authentic.
Bit of a stupid comment to put given you’ve ONLY just started collecting. Try handling items first and brush up on your history before saying stuff like everything’s been bought up. Do you know how many countries and men took part in WW2?! Don’t forget that people that buy this stuff sell because they’ve passed away or too old to collect it or fear when they pass on it’ll get left somewhere they don’t want it left hence why this stuff is always selling.
Unbelievable prices....how can this guy keep a straight face with these astronomical prices...

@@Duffman2345 treu but the price’s are just realy high they go for lower on marketplace or ebay or whatever platform.
@@fynncoppens8710 work harder, get a better job then you can afford these. It’s what I worked towards
@@Duffman2345 i have anough money for this hobby never said i didn’t just saying he’s prices are expensive.
Would love to see more close ups of all the items you are showing as it makes for better viewing, cheers.

Hi I would like to know how to put on the skull insignia on a German SS visor cap. Thanks
What German knife would you recommend for me to buy for my 16 year old grandson who is fascinated with world war 2 knives?

These are one of a kind pieces. I can guarentee you won't find many more of these.

Your obviously that kind of person to look at hitler uniform and say it looks like any other uniform so it's not worth that much 🤣
