    Long time ago when the first version of this came out I wanted to try but no way I'm paying that much ( I am a stylist) so I know all this is is basically if you take your hair and take your 3 middle fingers, put your hair under then over top middle finger then back under other finger then slowly move your hand down your hair, your " split" ends will pop up and be exposed to then cut them off by shears, clippers or this device. However I've found these things work WAY better and much more precise when you flat iron your hair as straight as possible. Because any kink in the hair, this kinda device will think it's split thing to cut because it's going to pop up higher than rest of your hair when it's too sliding over that bump in the spot ender machine.
    But, I bought a clipper attachment that does this same exact thing but was 15$ , just attach to any type of whal type clippers and same concept.
    Or, can actually just do what I described with your finger and shears or what stylists will do as a " dusting" technique trying to get split ends off.
    Only issue with these tools that aren't using shears and human eyes to monitor is it can't distinguish between internal layers, kinks in the hair, bends in the hair from actual split ends. Whatever pops up, it cuts.

    I'm glad for Kayli's honest review on this product, because it is really expensive! Back in the day I got layers on my hair and the hair dresser used razors to do the layers... got so many slipt ends that it was a nightmare to get my hair healthy again! From that moment on, I always asked for my hair dresser to use scissors instead

    Omg! God Bless your honest heart! I was thinking this product would literally be my new thing. It almost looks like it burned the bottom of your locks😮. I have thick hair, but also suffer from split ends and my daughters have long hair too, so I’m soooo glad I did not purchase this. ❤️🌸

    Omg me and my cousin used to watch the info-mercials for the OG Split Ender and used to beg my grandma to buy it for us. We were 10 and we are in our early 30s now. So glad she never bought it, we would have ruined our hair! Can’t believe it’s still around. 😂

    Hi Kayli I love watching your videos and yes you are right the blades would have to be replaced cause what can happen is if you constantly use it, the blades will tug on your hair. That’s what happens when you dont sharpen your shears too. But my question is there an way you can even change the blades? 🤔

    The hairdressing scissors I use I’ve had for years without professionally sharpening them. I look after them and keep them oiled. You’re not meant to cut other stuff besides hair as the blades can get blunt. I assume that the split ends trimmer blades will be fine for a while as long as you keep it clean.

    • @TracyCampanella
      @TracyCampanella 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use a toothpick to go under stuck hair and lift it so you can pull it out. As for cleaning, I have a plastic brush. I put a bit a Dawn dish soap in a tall tumbler with warm water and let it soak for awhile, like hours. Rinse. If needed, repeat.

    ofcourse you may think, well that's a whole other topic.
    but i'm saying, if you can make such realistic human hair wigs and make them look so good on yourself with the most affordable things, then anything can be done with simple and affordable things.

    split ender gave you split ends D: its a rotating blade, it's not a good tool it is a razor which any professional hair dresser knows you have to be extremely careful with the angle you cut the hair at with razors because it can really compromise the ends of the hair if done incorrectly. Sharp shears will always make more sense than a razor for removing split ends, especially a rotating blade that can't be sharpened. So then once that blade goes dull, it will only be even more damaging. It's insane that a "professional" hairdresser on Tik tok would promote such a bad tool- it honestly is a tool that doesn't make sense.

    i don't experience the damage you are showing so i don't regret buying mine.

    I do not get ..why do you trim your hair every 1-2 months? Do you get split ends that fast or you want to keep your hair length and maintain the length and haircut?

  • @beautyneytiri
    @beautyneytiri 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    my own hair is getting very thin so i HAD to think out of the box.
    there is no regular hair stylist or salon who could do anything for me.
    by watching black women i can now purchase 100% human hair around just 350 dollars and with that i can create exremely realistic looking wigs.
    also styling and treating it with incredibly affordable stuff, it's completely stuck to my skin (which is not damaging in any way, i can just remove it with warm water)
    and yeah, people always think it's my own hair.
