    Your libraries guide is easily the most helpful thing I've seen since I began researching libraries... nothing else I've seen has compared such a large selection of libraries but categorised them in a way that makes it easy to work out what it is I'm looking for and easy to compare similar products based on what criteria those categories need to fill. Thanks a lot it was really useful

    Chris, I like that you are so honest to telling us, you prefer the kontakt versions over Sine, although you received some copies from OT. That makes your videos much more valuable, thank you.

    I love the first four Arks, and have used stuff from all of them in various places. (Also have a few other OT libs.) I like what I've heard of 5 as well, so I grabbed the massively discounted full bundle upgrade without much hesitation.
    Mixed feelings about SINE, though. Kontakt is certainly starting to feel old, and I've found the "updates" increasingly disappointing, long standing issues and complaints still ignored, so I can't blame developers for moving away from it. However, developing a technically worthy Kontakt replacement is a huge project, and I'm not sure umpteen developers attempting to do that in their own respective ways is in our best interest as users.
    (Personally, as an old FOSS advocate, I'd of course have preferred it if a few major library developers instead created a Free/Open Source sampler, or contributed to one of the existing ones, to create a proper Kontakt alternative for everyone - but having been involved in a similar project for plugin APIs in the past, I don't have high hopes of that ever happening.)

    Thanks for the upload Chris! This is something I’ve wanted for a long time, just a general overview of the series. Can I ask, if you buy one of the Arks for Kontakt, do you also get it for Sine?

    I plan on getting Ark 5 since 250 Euros is nearly a steal for these, and I see a lot of stuff I can use there (shepard tones! choir pads! playable runs!), and I think it will nicely compliment my Inspire bundle and Ore.
    I just wonder though if it's worth investing fully into Ark 1 & 2, or if I should just buy the instruments I want individually (since Sine allows you to do that, thankfully). The music I'm creating seems to veer into the hybrid orchestral-ambient as opposed to more of the bombatistic trailer sound. Especially since I'm planning to get two more of the creative soundpacks and picking some stuff out of the Phoenix Orchestra and Andea libraries.

    • @ChristopherSiu

    Hi Christopher! I must ask, would you recommend the series to someone who has the complete Berlin Series (including all of the string expansions)? Thank you for your videos!

    • @ChristopherSiu
      @ChristopherSiu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This series is great for more epic styles of music, big and bombastic! Berlin works well for more of the classical style, so it really is up to what you need.

    I disagree that ark 2 is quiet, it’s stil epic sounding just sounds less like dark souls boss music. And more like Batman Arkham series.

    thank you for the video walkthrough.. one little thingy: it might be that the sine version differ a bit from the kontakt versions (like there are with the berlin mains). Do you happen to have the sine versions for the 1-4 arks too?

    I own MA 1-2 should i buy the bundle i have a student discount so my cost would be 500 euros or should i get eastwest orchestra for the opus player?

    • @IlkoBirov
      @IlkoBirov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For 500 euros ARK 3, 4 and 5 is an unbeatable deal.
      The EW Hollywood Orchestra is a different beast altogether though. The ARKs are more for cinematic/trailer/modern scoring rather than traditional orchestral composing. So the answer mainly depends on what music you are making.

      No difference in articulations! SINE might be a little bit more buggy at the moment for the arks 3 and 4 since they were just ported. 1 and 2 should be a lot more stable.
      SINE overall does lack a few features that capsule had though.
      Any future bug fixes will only come for the SINE versions though! Keep that in mind.

    • @LordComradeAnarchoCapitalus
      @LordComradeAnarchoCapitalus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Metropolis is much much more comprehensive but also much more expensive if you get the full series. If you mean Ark 1 vs Jaeger, Ark 1 has less common setups and is much louder and Jaeger has a more traditional setup (Proper string divisions with Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass compared to Ark 1 which is just 'High' and 'Low' Strings), however Nucleus is another option if you want Woodwinds and it's cheaper than Jaeger, although it doesn't have a lot of the stuff Jaeger has

    • @AdamOctorachmadi
      @AdamOctorachmadi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jaeger is more flexible, but Ark (individualy) is more straight forward to what you mentioned, especially ARK 1, 3, 4. are extra loud, i havent check Ark 5
