Thank you as always for your time, effort, and detailed review. I am not using headphones enough these days to justify this price tag unless the equipment transports me to sonic nirvana. Take care, brother, and enjoy your Sunday.
My wife complains when I use headphones because she wants to hear the music too. The problem for her is that I usually listen to the stuff she doesn't like on headphones. So by being nice to her I end up annoying her anyway. Meanwhile the great sounding Sundaras I bought a couple years ago sit around gathering dust way too often.
I picked up an open box set of these on e-bay. I also had the original Zeus from another used eBay purchase. I like the new ones better and had considered selling the original but instead took them to the office to spread out the Zeus-ness to all the places I spend a lot of time at.
@@gaborozorai3714 improved a little on the details. If you didn't like the original Zeus maybe another style of headphones would be better? I like having a pair that are relaxed/warm.
@@BrianJoergens I do like the originals apart from the bass boost. Swapping the earpads for Dekoni fenestrated sheepskin ones brought dramatic changes. Bass is now almost lean and there's even more clarity and openness than before. I do have other 'phones for different sound signatures so no intention to buy. I was just curious, so thanks for your answer.
did you ever have any problems with the build quality or durability of the og zeus? That's really the only thing keeping from snagging these coming from someone who owns sennheisers, I'd like to keep my cans in working order for as long as possible.
I have a LARGE noggin ( Not full of brain mind you, more like a bat habitat.) and any headphones that I can tolerate have be capable of being adjustable enough (The bat's complain when they can't get in or out) and they need to be lightweight as well. Headphones for me have to sound good, be affordable, lightweight and fit over my noggin's zip code.
Out of curiosity, have you found any that check ✔️ all the boxes?? From my experience, the affordable part generally nullifies 1 or 2 of the others on your list. Although I am kind of in luv with these Soundcore q35, I got on Amazon's big 2 day sale for $79 a while back.
I liked your review of the Edition XS. I would enjoy seeing a review of the Ananda Nano. Thanks for this headphone video; I enjoy watching this kind of content.
Nice review! I am looking for a good headphone to use in fps games, essentially something that is more fun listening experience than neutral headphones. Soundstage and imaging are also important for this use case. Currently looking between this, the ATH-R70x, and DT 1990 Pro. What would you say is better for that use case rather than purely music listening?
Very nice review. I think there aren’t any headphones heaving a soundstage as good as real speakers in a room, not even the HD 800 from Sennheiser and neither does the AKG K1000.
Just found your channel and really like you a lot. I watched this review and the review you did for the XS. For gaming in particular, which of these two would you recommend?
as always great review. just one question. will the Tripowin GranVia headphone jack 3.5mm with a source connector of 3.5mm stereo be compatible with the zeus elite?
Thanks for the great review! ! How are these comparing to Sivga Robin? Do Harmonicdyne Zeus Elite a step forward from Robin? I'm loking headphones for electronic music. Which are more V-shaped?
It goes like this: Ti Burr Brown > AKM > Wolfson > Cirrus Logic > Analogue Devices > Sabre. It doesn’t matter how the DAC is executed or how the preamp sounds. A preamp is a preamp. The sound comes from the DAC. The DAC isn’t the director of the orchestra. The DAC is the orchestra! The Wiim mini and the Wiim Pro sound identical. And they both have the same DAC and preamp. And they both sound better than the Wiim Pro Plus because TI Burr Brown DACs sound better than AKM DACs. I’ve listened to all 3 and the AKM Wiim is a lateral move, a money grab. It’s just marketing and marketing is psychology. Wiim is in the unfortunate position of already being at the top of the mountain with the Wiim Mini. There was no where to go but down. The Wiim Pro is only useful if you need all those extra inputs and outputs. If you don’t, the Wiim Mini is still the best streamer. And no one needs the Wiim Pro Plus. It has an inferior DAC. Saying an AKM DAC is better than Burr Brown is like saying a Core I3 is better than a Core I7. It’s not and it never is.
I also have one of those Metallica yetis but I got it for free 😂, I just asked nicely at the table and they gave me one. The kevorka is a blessing and a curse
