    I have had these for a few months now. Came here to know what he says about them to compare with his other reviews.
    These are awesome!
    As a drummer and avid local concert enjoyer, my goal with my hifi is to be happy. I don't need to know the colour of the guitarists pick😂 ykwm. These have all the necessary details and boy are they fun.
    They can be powered with frog farts. Never went over 12/100 on my windows laptop with a adapter, and at 2-4 /100 on my smsl m300se it's conversation level.
    Absolutely love these. Can highly recommend

    hi dave, love your videos and they have helped me on getting a xenns top and a performer 8. Between zeus elite and the sivga sv023 as sound signatures, wich of them do you think would be more intersting in a group of Ananada stealth and Harmonicdyne athena (wich i already have). I hear great things about the sv023 and the zeus elite so i was considering on both. Im afraid on taking the sv023 and it becoming somewhat too similar to my ananda, and on taking the zeus elite and it dont having enough separation and layering to hear everything on more complex passages. I basically hear EDM, jazz, death metal, some prog rock and metal, psy trance, house.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here is a link to my Sivga SV023 review:
      th-cam.com/video/2Zo59K8H6aI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kbGpHltsM7ndFQto
      Ananda is more detailed, better resolving, wider and deeper stage, better clarity and better layering. The Ananda is slightly more forward and bright.
      As for the Zeus Elite, it is more refined & defined, slightly brighter and a little less bassy than Athena.
      If I was choosing between the two, I would go with the Sivga as it is something a little different.

      @@TheHonestAudiophile Hey, Dave! i received my SV023 and have been listening to it for a week now. Im loving the sound profile of it. Its more bassy than the Ananda but yet super resoluted and precise. it really fits my music taste for an all arounder use. As an allrouder, i go for the SV023, but for a critical and detailed listening i go for the ananda. Thanks for the content and reviews!

    I get the impression these are a worthwhile upgrade over the original Zeus, what is your take? I have the OG's and I do love their clarity but that comes at the expense of a sometimes hot treble that emphasizes sibilants. However their major problem is a bass that is overblown, even bleeding into the midrange, without going low enough. Replacing the pads with Dekoni fenestrated sheepskin ones makes the bass almost too lean, clears up the lower mids but does not help with low bass.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I no longer have the og Zeus to compare. But based off memory, the Elite is an upgrade and refinement overall.

    Nice review! I am looking for a good headphone to use in fps games, essentially something that is more fun listening experience than neutral headphones. Soundstage and imaging are also important for this use case. Currently looking between this, the ATH-R70x, and DT 1990 Pro. What would you say is better for that use case rather than purely music listening?

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Zeus Elite as the other two are more neutral leaning.

  • @acfzzzzz
    @acfzzzzz ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Although the impedance is only 32Ω, the sensitivity is 105dB/Vrms which according to the headphone calculator requires about 98mw of power, which is more than most headphones with higher impedance need, does this mean that this heaphone needs an amp to produce proper sound? I am a beginner, really appreciate your advice.

      As mentioned in the video, this headphone can be run on some portable devices but is best on an external amplifier.

    If you do not take into account the sound supply, which headphone options will be an unambiguous upgrade, but for the same price as Zeus, or suddenly there is something more budget-friendly with a different sound level? I'm interested in exactly what the new sound level will be. In Zeus, there is still a lot invested in materials and a case.

      Aune AR5000 is a more neutral presentation and the Sivga Luan is similar in bass with a bit more extension in the treble.

    How does the Athena compare to the Zues elite? Love your videos, and I would really appreciate your opinion on the two compared. I have the Luan, the Athena, HD 560s, HD660s2, Hifiman he400se, for music/movies, and use the Sennheiser PC38x , epos H6pro, SS nova pro, Sennheiser game one, and the Audeze Penrose X, for gaming. Would the Zues be a good adition to this collection and fill an area that I am missing? You noted in your Athena review they were you favorite Harmonicdyne headphone, is that still the case?

      Budget friendly price range Id go with the JDS Labs Atom+. A little more pricey, I'd go with the Fiio K9 AKM. Slightly more pricey the Aune S9C Pro or S17 Pro. My preference is the Mytek Liberty DAC ii and HPA.
