  • The Mies van der Rohe Day Bed was first used in 1930 in Philip Johnson's New York apartment. The day bed was later shown to the public in 1931 at the Berlin Building Exhibition. A signature Knoll Studio design, produced to Mies' original specifications. Exclusive manufacturing and sales rights were accorded to Knoll by the designer in 1953.
