I just experienced the Clive Christian online masterclass the other day and for me as a 30+ woman (not particularly liking leather fragrances) C was my absolute favourite and found it very feminine. On me it is sweet (vanilla/caramel like), woody and creamy. I was just raving about this to my mum and also wore to the office twice. I got whiffs of vanilla throughout the day and asked my colleagues who is wearing vanilla. They said they didn't so I assumed it was C then. Interestingly when I showed this to my husband his immediate reaction was "What the f*** are you wearing?! Is this the same s*** as last time?!" - referencing to Interlude Man (another love of mine, which I call the Scent of Zeus 💪) as he backed off chokingly. But I am still thinking of getting this as you have to have at least one leather creation in your collection, rigt? 😅 Am I considered to be a 5 star general? 😀 Great video as always, Marcelo!
    Edit:
My 5 yo son picked this (C) fragrance for the day to wear when I presented him with Blonde Amber, Ani X and CCC (Clive Christian C). I was so happy that someone understands me and he shares my taste! Btw, it smelled more woody on him versus the sweet, fruit like smell on me.

In my opinion all of the all of the Halfetis are different enough that if you really like the DNA you can own all three of them, even if you're not an avid collector. I really like the smell of the original but I find it to be a little too feminine, but both leather and cedar smell amazing to me. Cedar has that boosted woods note and the rum note, leather has the plum note and the leather. I think if they had more distribution they'd be a lot more popular than they are here in the US

Thanks Marcelo. Awesome lineup!!!ill be trying Epic Man. Also looking forward to seeing you guys live (on screen) for Aprils event. I got in early (1-2 weeks ago ) I look forward to receiving the samples in the mail. It will be very tempting to try them before the event but I’ll wait.

And all this time I thought you were actually 'Marcus'😂 I thought your name was Marcus and you just added 'Aurelius' for that extra boost.....so is this 'Nathan' or 'Dave'? I'm super excited for this coming Friday; it's going to be a blast (actually in truth it's equal parts exciting and nerve racking😬.....the technology always keeps me on my toes!!)
If this is 'Nathan' then your Discovery Kit has been mailed🌟 and you should receive it shortly and my recommendation is actually start testing! I would already commence sampling and trying on the fragrance's; this will heighten the experience on Friday for you, plus we're opening the 'mic' and we want to hear from everyone their thoughts on the fragrances (trying something different to the last 'Evening' that we did with George)
Great to hear from you mate! Looking forward to catching up on Friday⚡️🧡👊🏼

I'm glad that I was able to get the 'key message' through😎 Every man needs Epic Man.
Wait till you try this out Fred; really impressive. If at first it doesn't resonate. Just give it time. It just means that your nose needs to get use to the "Amouade" accord that exists in all their fragrances. They use native resinoids (Myrrh, Frankincense, Rock Rose) to varying degree's and this is commonly the 'note' that a 'new nose' will pick up....but give it time and you'll find that this accord gives so much character and depth to the fragrance that you've never experienced in any other fragrance House. In my opinion, Epic Man is the right place to start on this Amouage journey.
Great to hear from you mate👊🏼

What an amazing line up ! But in my skin, Clive Christian C Woody Leather is the ultimate leather scent, period… then followed by PDM ‘s Godolphin. It’s rich, deep, classy and elegant. If I will add a third leather bottle, it will be African Leather from Memo Paris.

I still love D&G The One but have moved up the heirarchy of The Ones to Luminous Night which is just everything about the line that's great but made better. As an eternal oud fan I also love More Than Words (Xerjoff fan obviously) and a few others but my favourite of the Xerjoff ouds would have to be Alexandria II which perfectly hits that "sweet spot" of strong and expressive oud without going to the barnyard.

You cannot go wrong with Epic Man! Such a versatile frag. Women over 30 love this one.
More than words is one of my absolute year round favorites, super versatile. I highly recommend checking out Aaron Terrence Hughes' newer 'Oud' offering. I guarantee you will love it. It is one of the strongest yet light frags, similar In a way to MTW.

Great video. Really like this progression idea, although I admit I have only tried the first and last of that list but the progression was easy for me because I love Oud, especially the more meditative types (It reminds me of holidays in Morocco and Tunisia). As far as other fragrance types I also love Gourmands, so ideally I'd like alternatives to Pure Tonka by Mugler but most things Coffee, Chocolate or Tonka are normally good.

Thanks for jumping into the conversation Lee; and yes, I've had a few requests for Gourmand. I was thinking that I should start with the 'Granddaddie' of them all "Angle by Mugler"....first Gourmand and the one that started it all. I need to hunt down a bottle of this as I never owned this fragrance, although I had some friends who did and they always smelt amazing🥰

Another excellent presentation, as always. Oud is a little intimidating to me, it is a note I am trying to become more comfortable with but sometimes I am not sure about. I don't know if I haven't developed my nose enough to appreciate the note or if have just tried some fragrances that don't do oud well. I have a few that I really enjoy but for every one I enjoy there are several that I don't enjoy.

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Great to hear from you Roblyn and yes, totally understand the feeling regarding Oud. Personally I wouldn’t recommend to you ‘More Than Words’ as it has a distinct Oud note coming through. If you’re interested in trying out some softer Oud fragrance’s, then this would be my pick (and has also been my journey as I too uncover more on all things Oud)
      - Oud du Jour by Amouroud
      - Oud Dream by Montale
      - Oud Orange Intense by Fragrance du Bois (don’t be mislead by the name….this one is amazing)
All of the above have Oud in the fragrance, but it’s very subtle and smooth….you’ll be impressed. I started on all of the above and allowed my nose to develop and appreciate the Oud note better….good luck😎

How do they classify “Amber” fragrances that are not sweet? I’m not a big fan of Syrupy sweet Ambers, (Heavy Benzoin or Vanilla) which tend to lean towards Gourmand territory. Spicy Fragrances such as Tobacco Vanille, Black Phantom, Carlisle, or Oajan have become favorites during colder months.

    • @TheNicheFragranceCollector
      @TheNicheFragranceCollector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Good to hear from you Robert. Previously the “amber” category was called Oriental… for two basic reasons 1, these fragrances carried vanilla in their construct plus they also had spicy notes.
Personally I feel that the new name of Amber is a little bit misleading… because it implies that it’s primarily a “warm” style of notes.
I’ll put my thinking cap on on some good oriental fragrances that are not heavy with the vanilla note

I bought it off joma this year. I used to smell samples from a dept store long ago of this epic man it was so complex. Mine is nothing like that. I hope after I let it sit for a couple months it will mature a bit? I notice lot of my fragrances change a bit in their nature after a few weeks.

Yes maturation is a real thing and very much the case with Amouage and number of other niche house's. Interesting that you don't get a lot of life out of your Epic Man. Like I've mentioned in this review and another one I did (th-cam.com/video/IycQro8iJqo/w-d-xo.html) this is a powerhouse fragrance for me.
Sorry to ask this question: did you get this off a trusted retailer? I know that there are a lot of 'fakes' out there. They look legit from the bottle, but the juice is anything but legit.

You guys are lucky in the US as you’re able to get a number of retailers that sell niche perfumes at really great prices….sounds like Jomashop is one of those💫
In that case I reckon give your Epic bottle 2-3 months to masterate further and hopefully it will amp up its strength. Great to hear from Bryan

Si Senor!!! Soy Argentino🙌🏼 but I came to Australia when I was three years old. I still speak Spanish but I’m more Aussie than I am Argentinian…but live my heritage. And you my friend?

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector wow nice brother. I’m Cuban and I felt you when you spoke about bachata and other Latin rythms hehe. I love Caribbean music. I have need following you and I always imagined you were Hispanic somehow because you pronounced really good the Spanish words. So, proud to hear those news from you. Btw, I’m the youth pastor from Miami that asked you once about the difference between aventus and GIT. God bless and keep it up.

Of course I remember Jahaziel….plus you were debating on the Clive Christian’s (you have ‘champagne taste’ my friend). Being Cubano I’m sure your salsa and other Latin dancing would be in your blood; do you do a lot dancing?
Thank you for your support hermano, very much appreciate the chance to connect from across the world👊🏽 God Bless Jahaziel

I haven't had the chance to test 'La Nuit'.....yes, I do find that The One doesn't last as long. Not sure if you've had the chance to test '14 Hour Dream'? You'll find that this one will give you a comfortable 8+ hours.
Great to hear from you @Elijah Castello👊🏼

Hey Homie, good to hear from you mate and I love your idea of Egoiste (I use to own this one and loved it….it’s a great one to line up against). Yes, I have Green Bubble and where I’m not a big fan of the ‘cannabis’ note in perfume, I totally love the subtlety and greenness that emanates from this perfume (I would recommend this one to you Julio)
As always, wonderful to hear from you my friend👊🏽
