I had the privilege of sitting with this lady for lunch at an Ibiza event a few years ago. She is as nice as she comes across on this video. Such a down to earth lovely woman.
Anyone else watching following the sad loss of Maxi? The riffs sound so poignant now, and still so magnificent ❤ 01:51 for the riff that opened a thousand doors for Faithless, and millions of minds around the world..
The fact that ur riff from “Insomnia” is instantaneously recognizable around the globe and through the ages & at the same time creates goosebumps on the soul well.....that’s music #godisadjhernameissisterbliss
@@matstevens3756 would b a great question to ask Sister Bliss....thanks for sending the link as i had never heard this song even though it was released when i was in High School
Brilliant! Roland make great innovatory instruments, we used lot's on our music including TB303, TR606/808, SH101, Juno 60, Jupiter 8 and more. We still have the TB303 and Juno 60, both are still in working order!
"such a lovely person" which tells lies to your face saying "sometimes Juno 106 it would go out of tune.. ." A quartz stabilized Digitally Controlled Oscillator (DCO) of Juno 106 cannot "go out of tune" unless deliberately circuit bent.
What a great video and what a lovely person. Thank you Roland and Sister Bliss, you made my evening. I'm going off to listen to those Faithless records now... Then I'm going to search out a JV-1080! Much love
Well sis.. You are a true DJ. And as for Faithless, u's are an essential chapter in the story of dance music.. Thanks for the memories! RIP Maxi.. ❤️ May the beat Live on.. 🎶
Came here cause I just recreated the patch and the riff of Insomnia on my Sequential take 5 as an exercise. Wanted to know how it was made originally. The process made me go back and revisit Reverance. What an amazing album! Faithless has a special place in EDM!
0:29 bingo honestly..i come from a grammy winning family..ive learned a lot in studio they rent some boards & try em out..but the final cut was always Roland Roland synths & Yamaha monitors are the sound of our lives & that's it
i never knew that a female producer was behind Faithles, but now it makes a lot of sense. Back in the day, for me, Faithles felt very inteligent, fragile and feminant... Thank you.
Intelligent because a woman produced the tracks. Ahaaaa😂🤦🏼♂️ Their music was never mine, not dumb enough, you know🤣 Besides, how do you know how she feels🤷🏼♂️ He, the singer, gave me the impression of being the girl🌈🥂
A fabulous and insightful presentation. Really enjoyable. Great to hear about the old gear. I owned a Roland D70 in the 90’s which unfortunately I gigged to death. Mainly used it for piano but replaced it with a Kurzweil K2500. Lord knows how I afforded that one ! Still have the Kurz, just about operates.
Great video. Love the new Faithless album btw and it sounds amazing especially on vinyl. I've just got my first Roland Synth and love it, Fantom 8. Between that and my 800-Pro midi keyboard I'm very happy.
Thank you because I still lison God dj each night with deaf in back ground and I still listen all others ones as will maxi will never be forgotten ❤️🙏🎧
Watching Sister Bliss standing and dleivering at the Keyboards while 60K people around jump in unison, is one of the most definitive images of House Music (for me).
JV-1080/2080/1010 with a favourite expansion or two is still an excellent source of sound today in 2021. Great-sounding outputs: lush, thick, warm and if you make full productions you'll often find the sounds sitting nicely in a mix without too much messing about. Very affordable these days on the used markets.
lol she was my dream woman in the mid 90s (still is) and she also gave us pianists/keyboardists some much needed street cred after 5 years of guitar dominated grunge and hard rock! :)
I had the privilege of sitting with this lady for lunch at an Ibiza event a few years ago. She is as nice as she comes across on this video. Such a down to earth lovely woman.
She is really pretty. Maybe you had the chance to get a little more than sitting with her?
@@BurkhardusXdon't be a weirdo
I feel like I can listen to her speaking about music all day. What a talanted musician 😊
Twenty years ago I really fancied her; today, I would say she is a very lovely woman.
🧡
Totally agree, a beautifully talented lady who created a moment in time that left a massive footprint
Sister Bliss still has that magic twinkle in her eyes, shes gorgeous!
Amen still a stunner at 50

1.51!!! It just blows you away
JD-800 was the synth
Faithless are one of those bands who's energy is evident in their live performance, fantastic group of musicians. Brings back some classic memories.
I saw Faithless live about 18 years ago in Newport, what an amazing night.
I absolutely love and admire this lady for her talent.
Sister Bliss: such a fabulous and interesting person. Brilliant!

Do you think Insomnia was inspired by this song? th-cam.com/video/dnvf0mwiioY/w-d-xo.html

And then they ruined Insomnia by ripping it off Encore une fois by Sash prime example
Insomnia riff - voice of 90s.
The Faithless songs are timeless. Still get chills hearing those songs. Epic
Amazing contribution to dance music. Thank you Sister Bliss.
"Maybe that's my limitation as a keyboard player". Neh. That is because you have a superb talent for creating killer tracks. 👍
What a treat! Sister Bliss is amazing!
Sister Bliss a musical genius and an idol of mine love her love her work her input is outstanding
her DJ sets were also always a pleasure back in the day, that deep progressive house sound of the early 00's has never been eclipsed for me!
Incredible and so good to hear the stories behind the tracks
A very talented lady, and a nice behind the scenes tutorial.

Blissy really nails how to share technical expertise and her passion for music. Great choice by Roland
Wow, such a lovely person, and so interesting to see behind the scenes

As soon as they broke onto the scene they were clearly something special. They created real musical art. So sad at Maxi's passing.
