- I've looked all over the internet for this rendition of Insomnia for years, having watched it when it was broadcasted the first time. Finally managed to find a suitable media file. Most likely to be the best live version of the song. A great shot performing electronic music with actual instruments.
Dipping in to pay my respects. Rest in Power Maxi Jazz
Hear Hear , respect is all yours MAXI JAZZ
Well said.
Rip to a great singer rapper and what a great addition to this band he made great iconic songs that will last a life time and beyond
I remember driving back up North from a mates wedding down in Poole Harbour in 2001 and this song kept me going after a hard weekend.

For a track that come out 1995 , we are still playing still loving. I am 50 yr old to.
For me one track that stood out , even with so many good releases in 90,s . The extended 12inch versions on original cd are kick arse 2.
Me too.
Snap, i'm 52 too and am sitting here with my Airpods in up to full volume, way past my bedtime and loving life ;-D ( oh and pissed) xxx

Totally agree
Spot on , totally agree..
Makes my spine tingle
😂😂90s are pearl Jam, nirvana, Alice in chains, Soundgarden. Not cheap electro music
YESSS!!!! Greatest era IMO in music. This hit is TIMELESS!!!! I wanna go back....
I get chills every time I hear this. I was lucky enough to see Faithless, words can’t describe the experience.
With 'normal' instruments playing housemusic....fabulous!
Glastonbury Version was phenomenal

Straight away loved this beat, still do 62 bouncing around my kitchen,
Probably the best track from the house generation. Just so good
I had probably 10 of the greatest minutes of my entire life watching this live in 2006. Maxi Jazz’s passing has really broken my heart.
Best track from the best British dance band ever and still a favorite background for my gym workouts (even at 60 yrs of age).
Im 61 and this is still on my night driving playlist when i CANT GET NO SLEEP! Never too old for Euphoria! The anthem of a generation......OUR generation!!!
Amen to that. Gr
1997.....what a vastly better place we were in then.
We need another summer of love badly at this point
Big time 😢
Take me back to that year it was my favourite time ❤
Portishead and Faithless on the same show... golden era of Later. Glad to hear this performance again; great band.
RIP ❤. Incredible blend of acoustic and electronic instruments.
Take me back! The age of innocence, before the age of anxiety we now live in!
Amen 🙏
Social media is to blame for it all
Short days and long nights. The 90s were the best.
Nostalgia is tricking you.
@@peterwhitey4992 nah, definitely not! I remember people walking around in the 90s with their heads looking up, interacting with real people. Not staring down blankly into a rectangular screen. That's not nostalgia, that's facts!
This and God is a DJ are still 2 of my all time faves, RIP big fella.
The slow tension of the beat and Maxi Jazzs spoken delivery makes this an astounding track!
Everytime i hear this song i get goosebumps, this songs is a timeless classic.
This song must be kept for furture generations to appreciate.
Maxi you were a legend, a mortal.
RIP
During lockdown, when it got to my darkest point, these guys lifted me. Fly high brother
Still makes the hairs go up on the back of my neck - from the days of being ‘loved up’ I was lucky enough to see them live, now 56 love it more than ever. Want this played loud at my funeral before I join you Jazz - Legend.
a true masterpiece of music . nothing else touches it x
Cant believe this timeless classic is over 24 years old !!! time flies by so quickly
This tune has no age
Spectacular, RIP Maxi.
This never gets old.
The talent of that band is off the scale. A deep regret of mine is not seeing them live.
Remember this song playing on rotation for like a week when I was 15 on radio never to be ever heard again until now. Nostalgia is a hellava drug.
One of the best dance tracks ever, 👍👍🔥🔥👍👍

That Bliss keyboard riff (riff? I play guitar) still sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it!
its was that riff that blew the track up from what i heard,
Quite simply...genius.

My favourite dance track ever , still gets me up dancing , classic forever .
Love this track ♥️ RIP Maxi
One of the definitive dance tracks. Amazing in a club, on another level when they played it live at festivals. RIP Maxi, and thanks for the tunes man xx
I think that this is the best example of this piece of music that I’ve ever played or heard. It is not only a great banging dance track and fun to expand on, but this particular example is orchestral, taking the listener in and out of all of the instruments and vocals involved in the construction, producing a fantastically fulfilling experience. Wonderful!
Totally agree!
I agree with you all. Play it in salon where I am a perm technician. Staff said omg boss you go with the beat 😂😂
RIP maxi jazz. This performance right here is poetry in motion. FOREVER FAITHLESS.

Faithless is defo one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I went just over 18 years ago. Sister Bliss in my opinion one of the greatest with her multitude of keyboards. Insomnia always been my fave tube.
