Our favorites: betty crocker gluten free devil’s food cake mix, weis gluten free yellow cake mix, namaste gluten free spice cake mix, all of the live gf cake mixes and baked goods mixed from aldi, betty crocker gluten free chocolate chip cookie mix, king arthur gluten free confetti cake mix and hodgson mill gluten free yellow cake mix…. The flour we found to be best and not dry or gritty is Bob’s Redmill 1 to 1 baking flour mix with the light blue label. Pamela’s baking mix was excellent too. We always add xanthan gum to everything also. Gluten free products sure have come a long way.
personally, I found the betty crocker yellow cake mix to be more of a consistency of cornbread. It was my first time ever making a gluten-free cake so it is possible I did something wrong. I do have another one in my pantry so I think I shall give it a try again.
The Betty Crocker cake mix has a weird taste, texture, and smell so it's not you! Nothing but nothing out there tastes like the Pillsbury mixes. I cannot convey in words how great it is, but it tastes just like a yellow cake mix that is not gluten free, and that is the best compliment I can give a GF cake mix!
I buy either the Pamela's gluten free cake mixes or Bob's Red Mill cake mixes that are both GF. Yes they are both more expensive but they both have great flavor .I have also bought Betty Crocker GF as and do have a couple boxes in my cupboard . I also stock up on them .
I like the details you give about cake mixes. I have fiber myalgia, & polymyalgia. really bad. I'm just starting to get into the game seen. it's very confusing. but you are very helpful. thank you soooo much!
I'm a baker, and I ma not gluten free, but I found these boxes of betty crocker for less than a dollar the other day. I immediately grabbed them but I'd like to turn them into a 'fancy' fruity fresh dessert instead of regular ole cupcakes. Any suggestions? Ps. I'm from Mexico, that's why theey were so cheap
The simple truth organic one is very disgusting! Don't waste your time please! Also I do not recommend Krusteaz gluten free flour/cake mixes. King Arthur is my favorite by far!

The reason I thought of saying is because I know for Me where I live. We have three Walmart Supercenters, two Krogers, and a Number of Local Grocery stores and none of these places carry these name brand or Grocery brands mixes except our Aldi’s. No Betty Crocker, Duncan Hinds, Simple Truth, or Pillsbury in Gluten free Varieties. We live in a place where people just believe to Rot out your Gut for your Satisfaction. So Aldi is the only place that has helped on normal foods. While some of our Stores will have Gluten free foods it is still very sparse.

It is no contest. PILLSBURY is the BEST EVER BAR NONE. It tastes just like a regular cake.

Have you tried Bobs red mill yellow cake mix, its really better than betty crocker my local grocery store carries it and Amazon sells it by case
