Gothic is one of the prettiest languages, and it is not gone at all, being one of the languages of the future, with gorgeous words! I am learning Gothic together with Norse and Icelandic and Faroese and Dutch and Norwegian and Welsh and Breton and Cornish and all other Germanic languages are Celtic languages, and I highly recommend that all do the same, so I highly recommend learning the Norse / Germanic / Celtic languages, especially the prettiest languages ever created Norse / Gothic / Icelandic / Faroese / English / Dutch / Norwegian / Danish / Welsh / Breton / Cornish, as they are way too pretty not to know! Norse and Gothic must be brought back and must be made into universal languages like English, and the other prettiest languages too!

The Gutnish (Gotland) language are the closest related language to Gothic. They share grammar. Gutnish is the only surviving east nordic germanic language.
@@hititmanify project wulifila is an online version of wulfila's bible, the chief manuscript of the gothic language. it has a transliteration into the latin alphabet as well as translation into english and dictionary entries for each individual word. moreover i would recommend reading the wikipedia article on basic grammar and phonology rules.
@@hititmanifyas a fellow gothic learner, i would recommend wiktionary (for learning the grammar), the gothic english dictionary (yes it exists), and the wulfila bible.
There is this thing called crimean gothic, but it's still disputed. And even that language had ceased to exist in the 19th century. So currently there is no native speaker.
@@hawk992 I see that you are stuck in your own little world. Just because it wasn't what you have used for most of your life, doesn't make it false. Similar concept between Metric and Imperial, I suppose. They are both right, just as BC-AD and BCE-CE both are. Neither one is more correct or right than the other. Saying one or the other is better is quite small minded.

The Gothic words below say "Pater noster" or "Our father", not "Gothic Language". The words "Gothic Language" in Gothic would be "Gutiska Razda".

Not 'oldest', but the oldest for which we have lengthy text. Not 'runes', but an alphabet based on a version of the Greek alphabet.
I can't believe you're this underrated
I’m learning the language in my spare time
What books do u use. Do u recommend something? İ wanna learn too.

Are there any speakers? I know there are a lot of important texts written in Gothic, and probably some linguists still speak some.

If you are talking about non natives then there are many learners like myself and there are online communities if you'd like to learn it.
What if Gothic language never existed
I feel like the Roman Empire would have fallen the same by another tribesXD
CE? You mean BC?
It would be AD, but yea. They’re trying so hard to change it 😂😂
@@sethwilliams8916 He is not changing it. There are two ways to indicate those times. BC-AD, and BCE-CE. They are both correct.
@@Frau_Brotchen The first is right, the second is cringe.
