Previous comment maybe has some truth, but I have to say, this was a really well done video. . But yes, perhaps, as hard as it is, to let the mastermind tell YOU what he was thinking is the best and why guys like me watch these videos. Naughty-stiles has the same issue as they interviewed and repeatedly interrupt the Bering Yachts owner. I think they think these guys are too complex, or too hard to understand. . .or they just are letting their new fame cloud their judgement. Don’t be that guy.
Absolutely John, I welcome all constructive feedback like this. As i said in the video I'm not an Explorer Yacht expert I'd just like to go on a journey to maybe one day become one and share that journey with you guys. I'm literally learning this TH-cam stuff on the fly as I'm just a simple boat broker and regular guy. Appreciate the feedback and point taken. Two ears and one mouth - use in that order lol
A little suggestion here....tell the person you are interviewing that you will be making longer pauses than usual between the transition of speakers. That way if you have the tendency to talk over or cut people off while they are speaking, it can be edited out. It will be awkward while doing the interview, but it will afford you a natural break while doing the editing later on if you happen to speak over someone. Ya gotta love the editing floor. It can remove a ton of sins. Thanks for showcasing CDM, Not a lot out there about them. Cheers.@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife
I would much rather prefer a robust, long range vessel over a fiberglass boat that can't get more than a couple 100 miles from fuel and provisions. It's about freedom more than anything.
They did go North so could have been them. I’m really hoping I can get access to True Blue to make you guys a detailed test video. I tried without any luck last month in Cannes on another CDM. It will happen eventually!
Very interesting video. Love the additional inside technical details the person from CDM Shares. Question: Can these CDC explorer yachts cruise in the Artic and Antartic areas when the ice conditions allow access and do they have limitations in these areas as compared to the more standard style commercial passenger artic cruise ships that go to these areas ?. I am interested in an Explorer yacht that can do the normal warm area stuff (scuba diving/snorkling/beach/marina etc) but also one that can support backcountry ski and mountaineering trips to the remote colder parts of the planet.
Yes - i had a meeting with Vasco about this and while they don't technically build to 'ice class' they can do a lot with steel that gets you very close and absolutely suitable for what you describe.

Love this! Great interview Dan.
Thanks Andrew, its an amazing factory! Such cool stories these guys have
this is like 5 km from my home....next to that building there is Ferretti Group with Riva, CRN and Pershing
Ancona! I have been there it's a beautiful city! I love the old Roman Gates to the city... I think they are Roman?
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife yeah it was a gift for the roman emperor that enlarged the port at his own expense

Love the feeling of being off-grid!
Very cool project!
Got some super cool ideas for this
I think I've seen True Blue in Cairns last year. Was definitely a Darwin 102 though. Beautiful boat.

Id let the guy talk more
Sure… I’m still learning 👍
Was hoping to see an actual yacht. The random, interspersed photos that did not match the subject being discussed did not help.
When I get an opportunity to go for a cruise on one you'll see it. :)
