Sometimes I bring a small satchel if I want to bring a water bottle, sandwich, extra film etc and put the camera in that but usually I just have the camera out and ready to use. It was cold but wasn't rainy so I wasn't worried. I did fall once, whipped it off and carried on.

Enjoy the skiing and a great one camera and lens combination for the trip. Ha ha. Missing the all black studio appearance look though !!
