I like the theory that Odin was the first Thanos, roaming the universe collecting stones. But when he got to Vormire he couldn't throw Hela off that cliff. He turned from conquest and sought peace. Hela didn't get it, she'd have chucked Odin away like week old take out and that's what drove her to rebel.
No, Odin did collect all 6 stones. That’s how he conquered the 9 realms to later establish peace. But when he sacrificed his eye to see with the time stone, he saw his grave mistake and hid the stones in places across the universe. The soul stone was placed on vormir by him, and he set up a bifrost contraption to whoever would sacrifice their loved one for the stone. He did similar things with other stones to ensure the whoever did get all 6 would know what they were doing and would have adequate wisdom to use them appropriately. Odin delivered the time stone to agamotto and thus the sorcerer supremes sacred duty to protect it began. The tesseract was hidden in tonsburg with asgardian spies who were killed when johann schmidtt first got his hands on the tesseract. The mind stone was hidden in the water cave thingy so that people would have to get the vision first and then get the mind stone so they knew the chaos they were after. The power stone was on a temple in morag placed by him. And the aether was hidden by odin after defeating the dark elves.
B-Conn66 I’m still confused as to how powerful odin was. Because he could round up a large enough army to destroy thanos even if he had 6 stones and which honestly i think still makes him unbeatable? I think the stones’ powers, let alone combined, are very much downplayed. Especially when we see thanos use the reality stone so well in IW i mean, I don’t know, i think its flawed
General in the mcu they really don’t show odins death other than death has barely any hold over him but he is most likely strong enough to take on thanos and come out on top
But could beat the crap out of his two sons, one of them like forever, and pretty much half of the asgardians. half of xandar, the avengers and wakanda, in less than a week.
Not without the stones, and not with just the power and space stone. Odin is very powerful. If Thanos had space power and reality stones now there’s a problem. If he had none of the stones he’s going to be annihilated in minutes.
WillieIIIreborn yep, although Thanos is one of my favorite villains, Odin would have embarrassingly dominated him without the stones. In the comics however is a totally different story, their fight leveled half of Asgard and Thanos didn’t have a single gem. I’m only going by what would happen to their movie characters.
Matt Pac in the comic fight? Nope, base level on both sides, he did piss Odin off enough to call up his Kings weapon and attempt to blast Thanos, but he blocked it and tried to grab it out of Odin’s hands. If that fight were to have continued longer, Asgard would have been destroyed as well as Thanos. Odin did admit that it has been a very long time since he’s had such a foe.
Mr Mapunde that’s not news. I’m well aware of the comics. I’m not speaking comics, and didn’t say Odin would win against him with the stones. Without the stones (as happened in the comics) Odin would level him, and in the movie sense, it would take thanos having at least three stones to take down Odin, if not he’s leveled again.
I’m really disappointed they didn’t give Odin any action. They just used him as a narrator figure which is kind of stupid considering how important he is in Marvel Comics
Jayson Trajano that would be cool to see Loki Odin and Thor having trouble and Odin just summons hela and the whole family is back ready to kick the titans ass
He didnt wait for ragnarok, he didnt waited for no one, thanos waited to know where the exact locations of the stones where, and that moment took place when nebula sneaked in his ship and tried to kill him, leading to know the location of the soul stone through gamora. That was the principal motivation of thanos, He wasn´t afraid of no one
Well that Odin having the soul stone theory can’t wrk. Cause Red skull was sent their when he held the space stone back in WW2 & as he said “ I even held one in my hand, but it cast me out, guiding others to a treasure I can not possess “ & before that he was saying he was cursed to know all who journey there, which means that the stone has been there for a long time. Odin passed maybe a week or so before infinity war. Long after Red skull was sent to Vormir

I would like to think that that was the Odin force. Just before his passing he mused that “this could be Asgard, right here” meaning earth. Asgard not being a place it is a people could also be an exaggeration. Asgard is where the Odin force resides and with his passing that place is now earth. That’s my head cannon anyway.
@@JFKofficial It's a similar rule to Thor's hammer. No one not worthy can "weild" it. Vision, being a machine was able to hold it and interact with it as he isn't living, it's similar to how if you put his hammer on an elevator and it lifts it up, the elevator isn't worthy. Vision wasn't able to use the hammer's powers. Loki was holding two infinity stones but weilding it is a different thing.
And had Odin learned of Thanos’ plans, Odin would have done what his son would do, but twice the power, and let’s be honest, would have gone for the head the FIRST time. Would be a badass boss fight.
He didn't search for it because according to the comics, each stone makes it exponentially more difficult for the seeker to find it. The universe essentially conspires against the seeker to never find them all because they would either die along the way or of old age.
the tesseract was not only the space stone it was a box around it. you see thanos break the box with his hands and out drops the stone. you also see nick fury touch the teseract multiple times and it doesnt effect him. the box acts as a generator but is safe to touch.. loki never touched the teseract space stone. he only held the box containing it. so no he never withstood the force of two stones. the gauntlet is different than the box the gauntlet was made to harness the power the same as holding the stones.
@@MohtadiAli damn. true ... guess its a debate lol but i wondwr how the klurken kitty touched it and i believe fury.. maybe its like u have to be worthy or able to handle it. weird
There were many potential obstacles in the way. One that gets overlooked is the Bifrost. Odin had the Space stone in his vault for a long time, and he didn't use it, because he didn't need it. (One thing Hela did wrong was arrogantly call it "Not bad" then go after Hofund to start her universal Conquest. She had the Space Stone, and she knew it!) That would allow the Aesir to follow him, in his quest to get the other stones, which is why He went for it first. Why he was willing to basically trade the Mind Stone for it: He needed that instant travel to collect them quickly, before anyone could keep up, and stop him. The Bifrost is one of the few ways that could be done, without the Space Stone, and Odin had BOTH of them.
Using logic maybe the only person Red Skull cared for was himself. I am not sure what was his logic but he may have thought he would be in control so can come back. But instead he ended up being controlled by the stone instead becoming it’s servant. I’m sorry there is no firm validity in this reasoning.
But Thanos wear them at the same time in his gauntlet, thebpower of the stones is directly in his body as we see the effect when he add a stone. While Loki have the stones in 2 différents objects who does not channel their powers to the user, the gauntlet was made in a metal who absorb a part of the power and connect it to Thanos (that's also why stormbreaker beat the energy blast in the fight, because it absorb the energy).
Maybe Odin Was the original Thanos… And he stopped slaughtering and killing when he obtained all of the stones and had his own Snap. Maybe Hella was His sacrifice for the soul stone
This makes a lot of sense thanos decided to take action after powerful entities died such as Odin and maybe even the ancient one as she was also aware of the infinity stones
Adam wiggins sounds too much like the leviathan axe from god of war PS4 because that literally has slots in it that hold coloured stones (runes) but there is an infinity gauntlet reference in god of war so it might happen

While I like the theory, where was the Soul Stone? Behind Odin's eye-patch? I still think it was Heimdall's death that released the stone back to Vormir. His orange eyes and ability to see "ten trillion souls" sounds more like a more worth explanation. Such a grim gatekeeper of the Brifrost must have many dark tales to tell.
@@Gulasdelsur Yeah, the soul stone sucked Red Skull to Vormir when he touched the space stone in 1945, 45 years before Gamorrah was born. These other comments are dumb as shit.

Galactus doesn't necessarily eat life though, he just consumes certain planets. That's why the Silver Surfer would try to find planets for Galactus that had no sentient life on them. Correct me if I'm not accurate here though cause I might not be.
it wasn't planets without sentient life...the eternals created the species as experiments...they come back eons later to see what their experiments have resulted to...if it was a peaceful creation they let it live if not they destroyed it...humanoids and peace don't go together obviously so most of the times that they showed up they destroyed that planet
The thing is Galactus ate planets, which contained life. The more life on the planet the more satiated Galactus would be. The end was the planet and it's inhabitants destroyed.

Thanos is a SUPER BAD ASS .... and the MCU Movies seriously did Thanos no justice. Thanos is 1000 times more powerful than the MCU Movies made him out to be.
It was probably a coincidence bc thanos had a bunch of people to get it for him like Loki but failed so he just did it himself but it could also why he let others get the stones so the allfather Odin won’t be in his ass
The only theoretical flaw was Odin having any knowledge of the location of the Soul Stone. It seems that all six of the stones of course are linked a certain way due to the Red Skull appearing in Infinity War after fans last saw him in Captain America. One thing is for certain in the MCU, the Space Stone and the Reality Stone were definitely within the nine worlds of Asgard. I enjoyed the movies. The stones sort of gave the MCU movies a sort of "Lord of the Rings" feel to all of the movies.
So Adam Warlock got teased in GoTG 2, but his connection to the soul stone is going to be very weird to portray if he does appear in a movie now, because the stones are destroyed. What we need is an Adam Warlock movie that takes place between GoTG 2 and Infinity War, that can both have Adam explain the Soul Stone, which unlike the other stones, has no real appearance on screen prior to Infinity War. This movie could explain the soul stone, introduce Adam for future appearances, explain how Gamora found the soul stone if the Gaurdians or at least just Gamora appeared in the movie given her connection with Adam in the comics, plus the villain could be Magus, (future Adam corrupted by the power of the soul stone) and could end with Adam giving up the stone to stop his future self, and locking it up on Vormir, with the help of Gamora, and putting Red Skull in charge of guarding it after finding him stranded there. Especially since Black Widow is a Prequel-Sequel taking place between existing movies, I think this would not be unprecedented.
Maybe the soul stone is odyn's eye which he sacrificed to gain wisdom... Or maybe his brothers to gain the odynforce... Maybe that's why his children are more godlike than alien as they may have the essence of the infinity stones coursing through their veins
One caveat: when Hella knocked over the gauntlet she then immediately walked by the tesseract. This means that not even she or anyone else for that matter could've known an infinity stone was in the tesseract. Okay scratch THAT. Kuz when he gave the stone to the collector dude SPECIFICALLY said it's NOT wise to have two infinity stones together. So even dude must've known the gauntlet was fake. Plot holes anyone 🤨🤷♂️

Captain marvel just strong because her power is absorbing energy also, that's why when her holding gauntlet with 6 stones she gain power from it and had no effect when thanos headbutt
I’m sure he respected their power. Thanos would not a fight a full blown god like Odin, that’s why he waited until Odin passed and he attacked almost right away. Because Odin would of pulled up with all of Asgard to protect Thor and Loki
I wish they'd included that. we spend a whole 3rd act in GOTG Vol 1. watching the place be saved, and the fact the events still happen means that not only those who fought back are dead but he killed half the population PRIOR to the snap. Maybe they could go back in a future guardians of the galaxy film even if it's brief.
I like the idea of Hela being Odin's sacrifice. I always saw Odin and Loki's relationship parallel to Thanos and Gamorra. I imagined that Odin was still a conquerer when he originally fought the Frost Giants and it was seeing Loki as a baby is what changed him to be good. At first it was a political play but he grew to love him. For Thanos found Gamorra, it pushed him harder towards his goal. Seeing these two all-powerful beings react the same to similar situations. Both think it's what's best for the universe. Never considered Hela though!
Loki was the counterbalance to Odin's sacrifice of Hela. So while he sacrificed her. He later adopted a frost giant boy names Loki to make up for it. Mainly to placate his guilt and that of his wife for what he gave up.
How come nobody remembers that Loki had the space stone and mind stone at the same time. The space stone was the tesserect and the mind stone was in his scepter. Loki was first to have two stones at once
The version of the fan theory I subscribe to was that at some point in the past Odin had possession of the Space stone and knew where the Reality stone was. He was actively trying to collect the stones, but he sacrificed his first wife for the Soul stone and that changed him. He stopped being a conquerer, and Asgard became the defender of the 9 realms. Hela didn't agree with this turn of events and was locked away while Odin started a new life with Frigg, and even adopted Loki.

@@URAWESOME94 Though Odim Had The slight Advantage Though...

Lol.. Just realized red skull loved no one... How sad 😂
Using logic maybe the only person Red Skull cared for was himself. I am not sure what was his logic but he may have thought he would be in control so can come back. But instead he ended up being controlled by the stone instead becoming it’s servant.

That mean thanos collected the power stone during thor ragnorock post credit scene of thor is where infinity war picks up boom
Maybe that's why his children are more godlike than alien as they may have the essence of the infinity stones coursing through their veins
bro that captain america shield looks so dope tho
Dude congrats!!! Freaking luckyyyyy
Awesome! Congrats man that is an awesome and very enviable prize... =D
She was probably imprisoned before the stone was encased in the Tesseract and wouldn't know about it.
"Odin is the only strong enough to contend with Thanos"
Adam Warlock: --------
Captain Marvel: He can't even give me a headbutt.
Thor: I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Iron man: Sure he stabbed me and destroyed half of the universe, but I'll get him back next time.
Not adam warlock but yea all those others
King Mac why not? i thought adam was basically god? i’m not knowledgeable about him just heard things
@@Dylan-n3x3b ummmm no. He just has a stone in his head
The timeline doesn't match up for him to be a threat to thanos is all i meant
Wanda was also kicking his ass in endgame
Captain marvel just strong because her power is absorbing energy also, that's why when her holding gauntlet with 6 stones she gain power from it and had no effect when thanos headbutt
The infinity gauntlet in the vault was for a right hand and the gauntlet that Thanos used was on his left.
I dont think he will make a gauntlet because he already completed his goal
I doubt he feared them, just didn’t want to deal with them.
I’m sure he respected their power. Thanos would not a fight a full blown god like Odin, that’s why he waited until Odin passed and he attacked almost right away. Because Odin would of pulled up with all of Asgard to protect Thor and Loki
I'm more interested in how he got the mind stone before he gave it to loki
Lmao more like they didn't want to pay for the zandar actor's to come back
But they brought Natalie Portman back for some voiceovers
I wish they'd included that. we spend a whole 3rd act in GOTG Vol 1. watching the place be saved, and the fact the events still happen means that not only those who fought back are dead but he killed half the population PRIOR to the snap. Maybe they could go back in a future guardians of the galaxy film even if it's brief.
He was afraid because Kyle Katarn hadn't died yet...until Disney erased him
You know Kyle Katarn, that is awesome dude!
I love Kyle Katarn
THANOS GAUNLET WAS MADE FOR LEFT HANDED, THE ODIN ONE WAS MADE FOR RIGHT HAND.. WHYYY?
Thanos is left handed and Odin is right handed. Seems pretty simple to me.
They say it feels different when you use your left hand.
@@martinarabit Like a stranger?
Maybe theres secretly 12 infinity stones! 🤣
@@shadoerage Only if you sit on it for a few minutes so it goes numb.
3:58 didn’t Loki have 2 stones back in the first avenger when he had the tesseract and the sceptre containing the space and mind stone
Yes but nobody knew that at the time. I believe
@@baseballer81 still held two stones though😂😂
he never wielded the space stone
They were both incased at that time
I like the idea of Hela being Odin's sacrifice.
Thanos will have to make a new infinity gauntlet since the original was damaged from the snap. Although it might be different from the glove.
Havent you seen the new poster?? Thanos has a new and upgraded armor and gauntlet a bit like ultron when he "juiced" up
Infinity socks maybe
D M no I haven’t seen the poster. I’ll have to google it.
JPITFTKD lmao.
@@Mike-ln1wf yea go look let me know what you think 🤔
How come nobody remembers that Loki had the space stone and mind stone at the same time. The space stone was the tesserect and the mind stone was in his scepter. Loki was first to have two stones at once
Because they lack conviction
Because marvel doesnt care about plot holes, just watch the explosions an dont think so hard
Lolz
Because he never actually "wielded" the space stone
He also didn’t have a gauntlet that allowed him to use them together.
