How can Butcher's cancer developed from a weaker version of Compound V, be strong enough to kill an Alpha level supe like Victoria, who they established was near invincible? How could Ryan care about his mother, and then kill who is essentially his grandmother, Mallory? All he had to do is tell Mallory No, or ask if Butcher agreed with Mallory, in whcih case he would've said No. How can Firecracker and ShapeShifter point out how selfish and malicious Annie is, only for her to prove them 100% right in dismissing Hughie's SA and near-death from the ShapeShifter for 10+ days, making it all about her? And this is AFTER Hughie's first SA while undercover and after losing his dad. Annie has suffered very little by comparison. How could Sage "predict" most of the shit she did?

S4 awful writing: 1) Frenchie becomes gay. (Because we never saw anything close to it anywhere before, in fact they were kind of developing the romance with Kimiko. But no, S3->OFFSCREEN->S4 makes Frenchie full gay and forget about Kimiko. 2) Skinwalker guy offscreen kidnapping is s...te especially since we see that they touched Starlight; 3) Sage is smart because she is smart. 3.1) Want to know how she's smart? Well she knew A Train was the mole (discovered that off screen), but she NEVER tells anybody about it, NEVER does anything with it (and Homelander leaks the info about the upcoming war when A Train is present). She claims it was all part of the plan. Which plan? Who cares, she gets fired because Homelander wants bootlickers and not A REAL SMART WOMAN around. 3.2) How else do we know she's smart? She tells a "heartbreaking" story to Victoria about discovering a cure for cancer, but these "pesky patriarchal old farts white males just laugh at her". She just tells that, we don't see any consequence of that "discovery" being a thing. Do we just believe her? We probably do, she's a poc after all, she can't lie/exaggerate, right? Add to that that she's not living in some kind of a makeshift batcave but rather in a house trashed with books. Kind of unfitting with a person who values knowledge over everything. 4) Sage is having an affair with Black Noire off screen. 5) Coleman is framed and caught off screen. And they don't even interrogate him with the help of the girl from the Generation V (who is literally in the same room). 6) Samir is caught off screen. Victoria instantly believes he's dead without seeing his body. Also Samir loosens his cuffs off screen (which is not that big of a problem but still). 7) There are no hints that Butcher was hallucinating when seeing his colleague. It's just a twist out of thin air (and don't you mention Fight Club, at the very least you can predict that Tyler is not real). 8) Most episodes now have the cast doing completely different things and kind of for no reason as if to increase the length of the episode. For example the story with Hughie's father is just there to remove the character and no other reason the story literally goes nowhere but takes about 50-70 minutes overall. 9) Webspinner (or w.e. his name) being "the leak". The junky having no relation to seven/vaught somehow has an access to the security. Or maybe he did work at Vaught at some point which also happened off screen. Great. 10) Webspinner is disgusting, we got that the first time we see him. Do we really need to see him the second time for a 2 minute scene of him basically defecating though? You know, this is "Butt on the screen" level of entertainment. 11) There are a lot of switcharoos from what actually happens in the real world. E.g. reporting parents, questionable not-so-*scientific* takes. 12) The Deep and octopus killing scene is trash. Not funny, doesn't add anything to the show. Why is it even there? At this point I'm not even sure whether the writers were actively sabotaging the show and trying to burn everything down (because they're forced to put agenda) or they're really that silly. The show is bad beyond redemption anyway. *EDIT TO 3.2*: Yea, I don't like old scientists myself most of the time because they're self entitled and think that they're the best while also thinking everybody else is inferior to them on many levels. This in fact lead to many discoveries being held back just because a bunch of pricks couldn't take that they were wrong (or couldn't take that their discovery lead to a bigger discovery hence they lose importance). But that doesn't relate to someone's being a poc while presenting the work to white people. This is hate speech they're doing in the show. UPD as of S4 finale. Guess what. That was Sage's plan ALL ALONG. Makes sense. ---------------------- And they don't even tease what happened to Ashley.
I agree, now I'm just waiting for the last episode, let's see if they will leave us some clingfanger or we will return to the status quo with clingfanger included.
@@Rizzthedevil Well, the finale is out. Subpar overall imo. Not as bad as most episodes but still not s1/s2 or even s3 level. Still has the same problem with major things happening offscreen.

The problem is that the writers have gone from wanting to produce plotlines to wanting produce political indoctrination. It takes immense skill to indoctrinate without hampering entertainment value, as seen in everything from Star Wars, to Star Trek, Doctor Who to Indiana Jones. Now we can add The Boys to the bonfire of franchises consumed by egotistic virtue-signalling.
Most connected episode series should not go more than 2-3 seasons. Just tell a tight story and end it. The need to keep something going on and on to squeeze it for all you can is what kills basically EVERY series. Name ONE connected episode drama/scifi/action series that stayed solid all the way to the end over more than 3 seasons.
I’ve been trying to warn people about this show becoming an incoherent writing nightmare that just relies on empty shock value rather than good storytelling since season 2 but everyone just kept saying how good the show is. Now we are at season 4 and it’s a complete mess. Seriously what is the point of the show? Season 5 will be the last season and I don’t even know what the end goal is. What do the boys want? To kill HL? Well they could’ve done that last season and chose not to. What does HL want? To take over the US?Okay but the show isn’t exploring that at all! All we see HL do is terrorize Vought employees..that’s it. He hasn’t killed or even injured a single member of the boys or done anything to threaten the government. What is the conflict between the boys and Homelander?? Because they seem to be fine with each other’s existence. I truly think they’re going to do the same thing they did last season with Solider Boy. They aren’t going to have HL and the boys fight each other, instead they’re going to make them team up to stop the new villain Victoria…which is so stupid. Because why can’t Victoria just kill the boys and be done with it?? Yeah she said Hughie can “out”her but he can’t do that if she blows his head off. But what really bothers me is the Compound V use. In season 1 we were told that Compound V is extremely dangerous and fatal. It only works in certain circumstances that’s what makes the Supes special. But now ANYONE can take it and be completely fine. This show is ruining itself. It’s so bad now. It’s not even the same show it was in Season 1.
Bro have you been watching the show with your eyes closed cause i read your comment and it just feels like you haven't been paying attention at all. Mutually Assured Destruction they can't out Neuman cause she will kill them and if she kills them they out her, info is secured with them it's why in the recent ep they are taking procedures to get rid of the info. You also clearly don't understand the goals which is funny cause it's something they have bee hammering since. They want to take out the president, HL taking over vought was just a small piece of the plan he wants to rule with Neuman as representative. You also clearly don't understand compound V cause nothing doesn't just happen cause neuman's kid and kimiko both who are basically rare cases have V but when butcher took it he got even more cancer. You can't just list things you don't even understand and say bad writing when you aren't even making up the effort to look into it.
Homelander had “evidence” of Coleman leaking info, butcher messed up the first mission because he wanted to talk to Ryan(the reason why everyones is mad at him), and it probably take time and focus for Victoria Neuman to make something and someone pop, also just because your a public figure doesn’t mean your relationship have to be public.
It almost felt like like we went no where in the plot until the very last 10 minutes of the final episode First half was about everyone trying to find themselves??? Then a trains redemption arc, honestly the best part of the whole season, not knowing if he was gonna die or not was such a tease that led to nothing Then Hughes dad died…it was sad, but okay? And the mom? Ryan, idk if he’s still 7,8 or 12 but he acts like he’s 9 but looks 15🤦♂️ we got nowhere with him at all, it feels like he will go and demand the truth from homelander and lash out but then HL will grab him and “punish” him for lashing out but not kill him? Ryan’s character at this point is a mess and a joker card still…… 😐 Then at the end with list of names against vought, literally nothing happened expect Ashely #2s death and the Version guys death w a twist of Ashely injecting V but somehow HomLander didn’t see/hear or notice Ashley behind the doors?????? Also, I had extremely high expectations for sage claiming the title of smartest person to every exist like Miss sloane or L from death note but nope, she did nothing, and at the end claimed that it was ALL part of the plan womp womp…… The season felt like they thought they were playing chess from ep1-8, but in reality they were just playing checkers and all th planning and scheming felt so washed out or irrelevant to the conclusion with them getting kidnapped, so like what’s the point then? Will they be biting the curb in 4K or will they somehow get a truce/deal after all the back and forth with HL and the the boys The only best parts was kimiko yelling no, starlight flying like a jet, a train surviving, Ashely getting powers and butcher finally doing what he used to do in s1
It was a great season, Then a trains redemption arc, honestly the best part of the whole season, not knowing if he was gonna die or not was such a tease that led to nothing - he survived.
I personally find this season to be my favourite, even though I think season 3 is the best out of the 4. However, why does this all need to be a discussion? We live in a world where John Wick somehow became immortal and Fast and Furious can defy physics. There are multibillion dollar franchises out there with bigger inconsistencies and plot holes than The Boys. People have always had an issue with The Boys ever since season 1. It's either too fucked up, too weird, too this or too that. To say something sucks simply because it doesn't resonate with you, is like saying another person's music taste sucks. I personally think The Boys is still S tier and I respect anyone who believes in the opposite, but it does not suck in any way, shape or form. This show could airtight and there would still be people saying it has faults, as it is with everything.
"...this season to be my favourite, even though I think season 3 is the best out of the 4." Contradicting yourself in the very first sentence. Not a good sign. Downplaying complaints about quality to complaints taste. Not a good sign either. You know some people think that feces have a great taste. Do I judge them? Yes I do, because it's harmful to their health. Will I actively try to stop them from consuming? Only when they're close to me. You've never analyzed what happens in the show. Period. PS And it is rather accurate with S4 and feces comparison. S4 is rather hateful towards the society overall ("stupid mob" when talking about regular people from pretty much all of the cast). Some characters are okay, but not all of them. I guess you're the part of that mob from the writers perspective kiddo. And yea, S1-S3 was typical "David and Goliath" plot the entire time and it kind of worked. Somehow it doesn't in S4. Care to elaborate? Oh wait, you probably don't even know what "David and Goliath" plot is.
@@ne2ve2 So in your mind, the best season should be my favourite? That isn't a contradiction, that's just me liking what I like, all while acknowledging something else is better. My favourite song is my favourite song, but there are better songs out there. You're allowed to like something that isn't the best, and if you are aware enough to know it's not the best, that's not a contradiction, that's you being objective. Yeah you're right about faeces, but more people die from obesity every year. Would you slap the burger out of a person's hand if they were near you? See buddy, everyone has a perspective in life. What you think is okay, isn't what I think is okay, and vice versa. Our perspectives don't dictate what other people should follow or abide by. You were clearly triggered by my initial comment judging by the insults, but as I said, being objective isn't for everyone. Some kids like to let their emotions come out instead of trying to be better. If you don't like season 4, cool man, but I do. All I was saying is, no matter what we feel towards something, just because we don't agree with it, doesn't mean it sucks.
@@withcreamandsprinkles that is a contradiction as both favorite and "best in my opinion" are about you positive attitude in highest regard. You're literally saying "favorite" in two different ways. Now if you said "while I think that 3rd season is the best in terms of camerawork (or anything else) I find S4 to be my favorite" that would not contradict as you're stating that S4 has certain flaws compared to S3. Weird how a Russian is explaining this to a native speaker. If a person close to me is obese and can't control themself to the point where it might kill them then yes, I would smack the burger out of their hand. Same with any other bad habit. All I'm saying is that you probably didn't give much thought to what was actually happening on the screen. Your right to consume mindlessly (no offense, that's literally what entertainment is for, at the very least 90% of it) but you should keep in mind that when you go to that extent most of your arguments for defense of the product is pretty much void because you never gave it any proper analysis on flaws/positives. Yea, you can go defending the product but it won't be seen as anything but fanboying. Espc when you downplay flaws to taste complaints. Still your right to bash that wall.
@@ne2ve2Do Russians also assume their assumptions are right, because I'm not a native speaker, but I admire the confidence. I don't need to specify a certain aspect just so I don't "contradict" myself, I think season 3 was better in every way, I just find my favourite to be season 4. But you see, that was my original point, why does this all need to be a discussion? It's not about giving thought to anything on screen, it's simply what I like and prefer. I'm a professional musician and sound designer, my favourite song has flaws that I could have done better if I made it, but I like it for specific reasons and there better songs, many of them, but I like it. It's as simple as that. There are no arguments that I presented in my original comment, I simply stated that it's my favourite and that no matter what, there's no need to say something sucks just because it's flawed. The same way I could point out flaws in the people closest to you, but you wouldn't care because they're your people and you love them because they resonate with you, you could do the same with me. You aren't blind to the flaws, you just don't let it dictate your opinion on something, No one is downplaying flaws, the show is made by people who spent their entire lives doing what they enjoy. They spent a lot of time and energy to get as good as they can in thier craft. So for me to watch it and say it sucks just because there are flaws, is absurd. Is it flawed? Yes. Is it my favourite season? Yes. Is season 3 better from an objective standpoint? Yes. Simple.
@@withcreamandsprinkles well, then great. Why are you even defending S4 here? Because you liked it? Why would you care about what other people think especially when they discuss the weak points in the product that you like? This approach literally has no meaning as you're in the category which considers the show great already and this video is targeting people who are uncertain/farming clicks from people who agree. If you want to influence the very same group of people then you would need to provide facts, things which were done well while explaining why flaws don't matter. But overall I would say that this won't go through as the ratings for the show are already low compared to S3. Kind of funny that most Russians don't even discuss the flaws, they just mindlessly consumed S4 since there's already too much on the plate to be analytical. And well, if you're not blind at all then compare what you saw by E7 with the leaks provided by the Vought Twitter (which were prior to S4 release). Most of them which were in the show sounded intriguing to say the least but somehow came out to be 50% on Rotten Tomatoes. And there's literally nothing of value besides the A Train arc which is solid and believable and for once doesn't use agenda as the plot driver despite the character being poc. PS. You live in an English speaking country for more than 5 years and constantly use English as your way to communicate? Then you're a native speaker to me. The only thing I use English for is to communicate with you people on the internet and watch videos/read programming docs. And well, it would be a surprise for me if Tyler is a common name in for example hispanic country.
Nah, critical drinker had a political gripe over the show, this is guy is criticizing the writing and that's fair. Personally, I didn't enjoy a whole season of filler, but to each their own.
I will admit, all the woke shit they've upscaled this season is definitely the most unenjoyable aspect of it (especially portrayin Starlight's non emergency abortion in the light of it bein her and Hughie's "choice") but it's somewhat tolerable when mixed with the gore and dark humor they're usually known for.
There is a way to skillfully put messages into a show or movie. I think the heavy handed comments are too on the nose, no matter what your side is on politics, lazy and blunt commentary isn't enjoyable.
Well guess what maybe some people actually want to be made aware of these problems. This seasons writing is trash and there’s plenty of examples. Y’all just take anything nowadays. Exactly why we have trash shows now
I really don't wanna sound like |that guy" but after watching shows like Succession and Better Call Saul, it really sucks seeing how 99% of fans blindly dick ride a show with very poor writing (which results in the writers making shitty scripts based on praise) when the Deep said "you're a writer you don't get paid shit" I physically rolled my eyes. Take a shot every time Butcher is in a scene coughing for 5 minutes to pad run time or Homelander is in a close up with an ear-piercing noise in the background, nothing entertaining is happening through most of these episodes.
1. MM does it because his daughter loved Tod. And what u said about Tod not seeing MM in the van happens in a lot of shows, ur right on that. 2. The Kimiko PTSD is just to show she wants vengance, nothing more, maybe written badly so ur kinda right on that. 3. the story may not see interesting in the first few eps but we see that A-Train is mostly through his "hero" arc which has been forshadows since the end of S1. 4. Frenchie being Bi has been hinted at before in the show. When he was in the relation ship with Cherri and the other guy, telling MM to be more open minded about "Love Sausage", he used to call his old male friend Jay "My Dorothy" and that he kissed hughie in S2 (the last one could be because he's french). there's nothing wrong with being gay. what's wrong is the fact that frenchie and kimiko were set up for 3 whole seasons just for frenchie to be with some random guy nobody cares about or has ever seen.
You're "right wing" and you're kind of mad with people "freaking out about gay kiss" (which is not true, in fact it's 20+ minutes of uninteresting and unimportant Frenchie relationship which came a thing mid transition S3->S4)?

@@tright6 yeah dude they literally say they wanted to but didnt know how, witch is dumb since we know supes can kill other supes

Very true
Most connected episode series should not go more than 2-3 seasons. Just tell a tight story and end it. The need to keep something going on and on to squeeze it for all you can is what kills basically EVERY series. Name ONE connected episode drama/scifi/action series that stayed solid all the way to the end over more than 3 seasons.
Love the style of going over the show. There are so many issues with the writing this season and you do a good job of laying it out.
Thanks! I appreciate that, really.
Hughie wasn't wrong to take Temp V. He made the right choice taking the drug.
Mm knew todd was involved in the riots from previous seasons so he put the pieces together the riots was todds whole character lol
funny how one side likes this season, and the other doesn't.. I wonder if that has anything to do with it

What to expect from a WOKE garbage show. It just been more apparent now.
you are the type of people the boys makes fun of
All of this is present in seasons 2 & 3 too btw. Its just worse than ever
This man spitting real facts out here. Season 1 was the only good season, and even that had some noticeable flaws near the end.
since when cause s2 and s3 were good by themselves, i guess his just going to nitpick again.
Ok some points of yours are valid but some aren’t and are just stupid, like the difference between huegy and butcher is immense
Part 3…now!
It almost felt like like we went no where in the plot until the very last 10 minutes of the final episode
First half was about everyone trying to find themselves???
Then a trains redemption arc, honestly the best part of the whole season, not knowing if he was gonna die or not was such a tease that led to nothing
Then Hughes dad died…it was sad, but okay? And the mom?
Ryan, idk if he’s still 7,8 or 12 but he acts like he’s 9 but looks 15🤦♂️ we got nowhere with him at all, it feels like he will go and demand the truth from homelander and lash out but then HL will grab him and “punish” him for lashing out but not kill him? Ryan’s character at this point is a mess and a joker card still…… 😐
Then at the end with list of names against vought, literally nothing happened expect Ashely #2s death and the Version guys death w a twist of Ashely injecting V but somehow HomLander didn’t see/hear or notice Ashley behind the doors??????
Also, I had extremely high expectations for sage claiming the title of smartest person to every exist like Miss sloane or L from death note but nope, she did nothing, and at the end claimed that it was ALL part of the plan womp womp……
The season felt like they thought they were playing chess from ep1-8, but in reality they were just playing checkers and all th planning and scheming felt so washed out or irrelevant to the conclusion with them getting kidnapped, so like what’s the point then? Will they be biting the curb in 4K or will they somehow get a truce/deal after all the back and forth with HL and the the boys
The only best parts was kimiko yelling no, starlight flying like a jet, a train surviving, Ashely getting powers and butcher finally doing what he used to do in s1
Hughie didn't betray MM.
He helped Butcher knock out MM and joined Soldier Boy. That is a betrayal.

What you said is the equivalent of saying something without saying anything
there's nothing wrong with being gay. what's wrong is the fact that frenchie and kimiko were set up for 3 whole seasons just for frenchie to be with some random guy nobody cares about or has ever seen.
You're "right wing" and you're kind of mad with people "freaking out about gay kiss" (which is not true, in fact it's 20+ minutes of uninteresting and unimportant Frenchie relationship which came a thing mid transition S3->S4)? Do I get that right?

As for if they're logical, yes, an explanation means their is now a connection between A and B, a logical follow-through for how a criticism was formed. The creator of the video has given logical reasons for why he dislikes these things, but because you disagree with these reasons you claim that there isn't logic when that's not true.
