hey eric great video thanks for that. i was wondering if it was possible to remove just the leg and put it on another motor. i have 2 yamaha 30 2 strokes one is a short shaft and one is a long shaft. i would like to put the long shaft onto the motor with the short shaft. is this possible without removing the power head?

So I have the same motor and it has the power Trim. However my tilt lock will not unlock. The power motor I know is shot and I already ordered another one but even the manual release did not release it. Any ideas on how to fix that?

When you replace the head gasket, do you need to use gasket sealant along with head gasket? Thanks!

Hello Eric. I have a yamaha 2 times 50 hp autolube. The motor has no electric start and I want to put it. I would like to know how the connections are made with a diagram or something x the style, thank you very much friend. I really like your videos, although I do not understand everything that is said, I am Spanish and I do not speak English very well.

Hi Eric, I have a 2006 40 hp 4 stroke Yamaha TLR. I am trying to replace the trim relay assembly. I cannot get to the bottom bolt to remove it. I thought I could remove the lower part of the cowling but don't know how. Any tips?....Thanks

Hey mate. When you say a lot of the 40’s, 50’s and 90’s “blow up”, what do you mean. What “blows”? Head, pistons, rods, crankshaft bearings, gaskets? I am looking at a 2015 40hp 3 cylinder that is as new condition, do the these engines give trouble?

Excellent video, thank you!! I'm have no luck removing my lower unit do to the shift rod attached at the bottom. It doesn't look like it separates like all the other ones with a spline. Is there an earlier type on my 50 HP 2 Stroke?

How did u feel about oiler removal from early model 2 stroke Yamahas
Yes supposedly it’s bulletproof but definitely can’t go wrong permixing
U seen any bad results from removing it

I removed my power head and didn’t know about the red wire coming out of the positive cable so when I lifted the power head up I didn’t see what it plugged into and now I’m putting it together and cannot find where to plug it in, does anyone know what color wire it’s supposed to connect to?
