- Pioneer AV Receiver - Display Blinking Red Light | VSX-531 Trouble Shoot | No Power
It was heartbreaking as after almost 4 years of great performance, the Pioneer VSX-531 AV Receiver decided to switch itself to its SAFE MODE, blinking red light under the HDMI display. Went through the user manual and did some online research to re-set the system back on power. Checkout how this went through in the video.

@@jonahpuerta1591 Pues la verdad que no, siempre hago lo que aparece en este video y vuelve a funcionar durante un tiempo hasta que de nuevo se enciende la luz y no vuelve a encender creo que es tema de corriente y o sobrecalentamiento. La verdad no se de donde vendrá exactamente el problema y es más sencillo comprar uno nuevo siento no poder ayudar un saludo!!
But my Pioneer av receiver 329 - k standby on pb doesn't work and HDMI star light flashes not same like that,does it make similar problem?
It should still be considered as a warning, recommend contacting an authorised service dealer, good luck.
I have the same problem with the very same amp, i press 2 buttons for a few seconds but it does turn on and turns off after 2 seconds

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. Red light, I try to reset, the fume in the same location at your video. Have you find a solution?
I had to courier the receiver to pioneer service center, wasn't that lucky with the reset working fine.

Same problem with my vsx323. How can i remove hdmi red light blinking?
I would try the reset as in the video, some recievers would come back to normal without any issues.
it happen, but after 2nd attempt hold press both i quickly reduce to 0 volume then turn off. fortunately i can use again but in rhis case i will not use higher volume. until i have bose to replace this recieve. lol
Good thought there, this unit wasn't having much ventilation on the top which kind of added up to heat up faster. Volume is a good control, good luck.
So the hdmi red light is an protection?
Yes, its an indication that the system has gone to safe mode.
@@SijuCAntony cool my pioneer vsx-329 get hdmi red light only one time after i blow a speacker after it turned off and turned him self on
@@sebyxddd8784 Oh no, I couldn't stop myself from doing the factory reset, hope I have't blown up any of my speakers haha
