People have this delusional idea that their taste in entertainment is some rarified super sense that only they possess and everyone wants to know about it, badly. Thanks for covering my X-Treme project. I'm grateful to the majority of people who did enjoy the demo, and I still think it's a fun technical showcase to play around in. Btw, the link in the description for X-Treme directs to Z-Treme instead. T_T
Hey! I wanna let ya know about an upcoming Saturn homebrew game! It’s called sonic ringworlds! Me and a whole term are working together on creating an original 3d sonic game for Saturn! Please look forward to it when we can share demos in the future that meets our expectations
Wooo! I did art for some saturn homebrew (z-treme before it went for Unreal) a very fun challenge! Edit: (Forgot it was called Hellslave lol) I did the textures models and sounds
I wish The Homebrew community will at least make one Street fighter game for the Nintendo 64 it's kind of sad that they don't even have one Capcom fighter The Homebrew community made a Street fighter game for the virtual boy and that came out beautiful
The dilemma here is that even if possible, nobody cares about playing fighting games on consoles and handhelds, let alone the N64(Besides SSB, which is its own can of world regarding its subject). Only Arcades.
Me: Ah, it's been a good decade or so... I'm sure the Sonic fandom's matured a lot over the years. They've grown and become- Ending of this video: Me: I probably have a better shot at getting Half Life 3...
My captain, certainly the crew in the ship "sonic fans comunity" are fellas drunked in speed and blinded by their treasures, vault filled with only rings and deranged by chaos emeralds (keep your safe distance).
It's weird that they complained about it being on the Saturn because XTreme was made for the Saturn. :/ You'd think that'd be a no-brainer, but then modern Sonic fans have no brain. lol
Not surprised it took this long for Saturn homebrew to show up, the system was notoriously difficult to program for - kinda like the Atari Jaguar, but I don't know if it's for same reasons. Atari's Jaguar documentation was terrible, so instead of using the new chips that were designed for the Jaguar, a lot of games used the Jaguar's Motorola 68000 to do the bulk of the work... the 68000 are also the same chips that drive the Genesis and Neo Geo, hence why the Jaguar really doesn't look that much better than any of the 16-bit consoles/ Also I don't really disagree with you calling it Sega's forgotten console between the Genesis and Dreamcast, but only here in the west. Interestingly enough, it is Sega's best selling console in their home country and actually beat out the N64 for 2nd place (yeah PSX was just 1st that generation by a *lot* lol). Sega still lost money on it because their management was just legendary levels of bad... much like Atari around/through Jaguar years. I've gone on long enough so I'll spare further detail, but my god, Sega of Japan's management during the ludicrous debacle of the 32X saga was outright and intentionally self-destructive behavior, like wtf dudes lmao
@@Redhotsmasher Yeah, everyone is quick to blame the failure on Sega of Japan, but the reality is that Sega of America were too caught up in company infighting and trying to wrestle control from Japan that they completely dropped the ball with the Saturn. Awful marketing & poor software choice for localization killed the Saturn in the west, and that wasn't Japan's doing.
I did propose my own songs for Z-treme, however the author rather than use CD tracks was looking to use the sound chip, and expect shorter tunes, so i did start port those to mid,i but then pandemic happened, z-treme work was suspended and i am not sure whether need to continue to work on it th-cam.com/video/2uNCU5dhWA8/w-d-xo.html
Hey all you hardcore Legend Of Zelda fans out there, you guys should make a fan-made Legend Of Zelda 32-bit video game that acts like a long-lost title for the original PlsyStation 1 that’s not only a must-play title we all didn’t know we wanted it back then, official or otherwise, nor it’s a absolutely impressive sight to behold, official or otherwise, but it’ll also make you wish that Nintendo PlayStation (minus the backstabbing part altogether) came into existence back then call PSXxperience Of Zelda! and it’s not only fully compatible with the actual video game home console up to present day video game home console and beyond, but it also features a online and offline COM adventure battle race royale mode, a Super Mario Maker-style levels/adventure story maker mode complete with infinite customization atmospheric hub worlds that’ll make Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage atmospheric hub worlds a serious run for it’s atmospheric hub worlds money, boss battle/mini boss battle mode, time attack mode, customization your very own adventure hero and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE STUFF in this very game alone that it’s a outright never-ending indescribable fun sight to behold for all the right reasons why, period!
There's already a Zelda game made in a 32 bit console, ocarina of time. It would be far more interesting to make a Metroid game using the same engine they used for Mario and Zelda in the N64.
Discredit to the machine. 3D is not suitable for a platform game. Survival horror is trash tier hardly even a game. Laugh at Sega of America for spending fortunes and years to come up with nothing. Probably breaking laws.
Sega of Japan got in the way of Sega of America when it came to Sonic on Saturn. Sega of America wasn't sitting on their butts doing nothing either. They were making a bunch of games for different Sega platforms at the same time. Game Gear even had a few. That kind of crunch time was insane. It's no wonder they got sick.
I do not get community members that respond to a free homebrew projects like Gordon Ramsey being served under-cooked chicken.
it's ridiculous

It looks like that review got removed at least
Try to visit the amiga community, i honestly though that was the only one that bad -_-

I did the textures models and sounds
I can understand genuine criticisms even from a free fan-made Homebrew project but being rude is not being critical

Love your enthusiasm. Great video!

Long live the saturn!
OMG thank you so much for the laugh.

It's true, as a Sonic fan myself, I can say from experience that like most things, the best way to enjoy it is to pretend the community doesn't exist.
Sonic looks amazing
Great work!

Sega of America's management at the time wasn't much better to be fair, which is why the Saturn failed completely in the west.

I wonder if we'll ever get repro discs that don't require either a pseudo saturn or a console mod so we can get real homebrews
Your link for Sonic X-Treme just takes me to the same page as Sonic Z-treme. Can you please fix it? Thanks.
Are there any crazy 2D homebrews?
