I plant them in my garden after blooming for the holidays & then dig them up to bring in for the next holiday season. When they are in the house I only put them in a clear container with rocks and water. Works every time.
@@TurkeyCreekGal You can never predict Texas weather. We had several hard freezes only last 3 0r 4 days. No snow but we have ice storms. This year our amaryllis bulbs are really beautiful. Standard red and smaller orange variety. All were gifted.
I think I have one of theses. I have a blub that I don't know what it is and it looks just like yours right now. I live in Northern Western Oklahoma , do i put it outside in it's planter now or do I need to plant it in my flowerbed? Thank you for sharing 😊
How often should you water? I think I over water mine. I’ve had 2 for about 6 years and usually one blooms. This year both are about to bloom. Also, should I cut the roots and put in new dirt? I do once a year. Thanks
In zone 9 Texas I had a huge flower bed with nothing but amaryllis and they were the first thing to bloom.

I have one just starting another flower in April! They are taller a Sprong blooming plant so every spring iits a beautiful show
