      I mean I’ve been operating on the assumption that because there is fire in space, sound in space, and vehicles that fly in space like airplanes do in atmosphere, the Star Wars universe must have something like aether. A non-pressurized, non-breathable, light atmosphere that fills all of their galaxy and makes all those space-creatures and asteroids that have atmospheres make a whole lot more sense, as well as the other things mentioned above.

  • @jiffypoo5029

    Fire in Space is 100% possible.
    If the pipe was leaking Oxygen into space then at the area immediately around the pipe would have oxygen and could burn. Explode a spaceship or a spacestation and there will be fire in space because there are massive oxygen tanks and the entire pressurized cabin is full of Oxygen which will cause a Fireball.

    • @highrofellos6721
      @highrofellos6721 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Only problem with this. The fire would have fed back along the source of oxygen as it burned and blown up the oxygen at its source...thus destroying/damaging the ship.
      The way it is depicted is not realistic...it wouldn't just burn and splutter as a little fire for more than a second....when it would burn its small amount of oxygen out or followed the source.

    • @Ehterlink
      @Ehterlink 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Also, there are chemicals which produce oxygen. You can light a match on the moon, because the head has oxygen in it. We do not know which substances were burning in the show what kind of draft they would produce because of their expansion and the movement of the ship.

    So what I got from the monologue at the end was, In the time of the high republic, the Jedi were kinda viewed by a lot of people as these super powerful beings. To kill one was difficult, but one dying from a weapon of some sort wasn't impossible, but would usually be attrbuted to the strength of said weapon. So to kill one without a weapon, not only kills the individual jedi, but it kills that idea of them as all powerful. It shows them as being weak. "Kills the dream."
    Also on the robes. In the High Republic Jedi had two sets of robes. Their Temple robes were generally white and gold, and used for either around the temple or special events (Basically a dress uniform.), and their Mission robes, which were usually more earth tones and didn't look as regal so they would be more personable and approachable.

    This show is incredible so far. After 2 eps, Sol is already one of my favorite Jedi ever. And I *love* how they’re showing a character like Yord and how he’s more akin to prequel era Jedi (vain, a bit arrogant, maybe corruptible, quick to violence, draws his saber every chance he gets) as compared to more wise, peacekeeping Jedi like Indara or Sol. I really, *really* love that they’re showing the order moving that direction slowly and organically.

I think the Sith Lord’s proclamation that an Acolyte doesn’t kill the dream with a weapon is more of a metaphorical killing of Jedi Philosophy of not attacking an unarmed enemy (We see Mae try to get Trinity to fight her without a weapon and taunts her about using her saber) however the way in which he gives the speech out of nowhere and ignites his lightsaber Darth Maul in Solo style to tell the audience he’s bad does feel a little out of place with the rest of the episode. Hopefully, we'll see more of her in flashbacks and learn more about her character and her connection to the (so far) antagonist, so her death actually means something to the audience.

    I know everyone is different, but I really am shocked y’all aren’t really vibing with the show as much as I thought you would, based on other reactions I’ve seen. Adam seems more critical and nit-picky than I’ve seen him before. We’re only two episodes in, and it’s a mystery-thriller tv show, so of course there’s a bunch of weird questions you’re gonna have; it’s a mystery TV show, and you’re not about to get all the information you need in the first two episodes. The episodes end in a classic mystery-thriller way, with an ending that leaves you upset there’s not more (so you will stay tuned for the next episodes. For me the first two episodes made me extremely intrigued in the plot and invested in the characters, particularly Osha, Sol, and Mae, along with spectacular sets, the classic Star Wars feel, the cinematography and special effects look like cinema, the use of the force in ways we haven’t seen much of before, and the incredible fight choreography. The acting is amazing too, and it hits just the right emotional beats. I think this is already the best SW show, but I’ll wait until it ends to say for sure. Hopefully you guys will like it more as the show move along.

    I don't think the final scene with Baddy McRedsaber was needless at all, nor do I think it was just "showing a red lightsaber for the heck of it." If I recall correctly, in order to progress in their training, an acolyte of the Sith must defeat a Jedi without a weapon, either killing the Jedi bare-handed, or by taking the Jedi's own weapon and turning it against them. Only then may the acolyte be allowed to take the kyber crystal from the Jedi's lightsaber in order to "bleed" it, turning it red for their own use and becoming a true Sith. This is why Mae initially challenged Indara empty-handed, and also why they put so much emphasis on how Mae tried several times to grab Indara's lightsaber during their fight, yet ended up leaving it behind afterwards. Mae knew that she had failed to kill Indara "properly," having relied on trickery with her knives instead of on skill alone, so she was not permitted to take the saber. Her failure here, then, is why her master scolded her in the final scene, igniting his own red lightsaber to remind her of what she must do to obtain and "bleed" a kyber crystal for herself.

    Regarding the fire if there’s a powerful full source to feed the flame it can happen. We see that in real world rockets like todays Space X launch that was a complete success

    So I’d agree about fire in space, however, It’s Star Wars and Also All Star Wars ships have something in their schematics called an “Aether Rudder.” Which means there is some kind of gaseous Medium in the Space of the Star Wars universe.
    There are two theories I’ve seen:
    1: The Star Wars Galaxy is so far back into the past near the Big Bang that this Gas is left over from the creation of the universe and hasn’t dispersed yet….
    2: Star Wars just isn’t another Universe, it’s the Previous Universe with different laws of Physics.
    However it’s also Just Star Wars, Just repeat to yourself it’s just Fiction, and really just relax.

      Fire explosions are one thing, most starship have oxygen to keep their crew alive... sustained fire is another. Not saying it's not impossible, rocket fuel uses an oxidizer to mix in oxygen to work in soace. Atmospheric engines tend to have intakes, though... since our atmosphere has oxygen
