Inverting two face and making the burned half the “good” half, and his point to Barbara and Bruce about how it’s not justice if he gets a free pass when others don’t just because he knows where the bodies are buried…this show is SO GOOD, man. Can’t wait for season 2!
Glad you guys have been reacting to and digging this! You're right, it's definitely not really getting talked about. It's not getting the widespread "oh shit" reaction that something like X-Men '97 got, but this is a solid series in its own right. And yes, the show has been picked up for a second season. One of the actresses, i believe has confirmed that they're recording dialogue for Season 2.
I purely think the only reason it isn't being blown up yet is that DC fucked up so much so often that they've made too many of their own fans pensive for anything they release(same applies to My Adventures with Superman)
At 3:26, I honestly can't tell whether that's Batman slipping out of Bruce's personality, or Two-Face changing Harvey's perception of the world. I really feel like it could go either way. A 50/50 chance, if you will.
What I loved about this show is that it is not simply another Batman adventure story. We have seen a lot of stories of Bruce learning to be Batman, this was a story of Bruce trying to find the man in the bat. It was similar to Reeves: The Batman. For most of the season, the Bruce Wayne identity was simply how the angry child that lost his family thought he should act. It was a mask in almost all ways that mattered. Especially in this last episode, the Batman voice keeps leaking into Bruce's world, surprising everyone. Eventually, he will evolve into the philanthropist Bruce, the man who doesn't need the Bat to do good. This show was so good.
One thing to notice on any potential re-watch is there are no happy endings for any of theae episodes. Even with a victory, all of them have some soet of depressing or horrific event to conclude them.
8:16 I like how you can almost infer that Batman almost shot Flass. But if you pay close attention to how many times Batman shot the revolver (5 shots from a six shot revolver) you would realize he’s actually emptying the clip
Bruce's moment with the gun actually had me tensing up. I knew they'd never have him go through with it, but even so, for a brief moment, I thought they might 0_0
It was a nice hat-tip to Bats' earliest days (he was dispatching monster-men with gunfire on the regular before parents said "hey, tone it down") and brilliantly done; I love the shot of Babs' eyes growing wider and wider with each report as the civilian who just blasted multiple goons herself is mortified that Batman might execute an unarmed cop.
Don’t forget some Batman depictions does have him use firearm based gadgets, but they’re not the lethal variety. He knows how to use guns, just doesn’t carry them for reasons. I have no issue of him using one, just that he doesn’t use them on people. He hasn’t and I’m glad he fired off all the bullets to resist the temptation of shooting Flass. Batman doesn’t trust himself despite his incredible discipline with certain things.
If it makes you believe for a split second then it it did its job in spades. Cuz that's how easy it is to push someone to the edge and give in to the darkness. That's why I like and prefer a Batman without guns, because it's too easy to kill, to take a life in vengeance and it makes scenes like this much more poignant.
The way this show has opened the door for so many new possibilities in how Batman characters are portrayed, and who could be cast in live action films of the future is so vital for DC. I wanna see Zendaya as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl now, who’s friends with Harleen Quinzel before she goes all Bonnie & Clyde with Joker. I actually really love the idea that all the robins know each other from the same orphanage/foster home that’s funded by Bruce Wayne. Christoph Waltz as Scarecrow, or Clay Face…Or Both.
Season 2 is confirmed! I was much more compelled by the Babs and Harvey team-up than I expected to be! Hubby and I were talking about this after we finished the show, and the whole production feels like eating a really good cheeseburger - the flavor may be familiar, but it's hearty and satisfying. I like the scotch and cabernet comparisons too!
This show was everything it promised to be and more! There were so many cool and interesting character tweaks in this show, like harley doing crime before the Joker, Barbara as a lawyer, the inverted personalities of Harvey's face, Bruce using the Batman voice whwnever he's not in public, Batman shooting a gun, and Batman and Alfred not being close yet. Really cool tweaks! I can't wait for season 2, which has been confirmed to be in production.
I'm not sure if season 2 was announced, but this is one of Prime's most popular shows. I can't imagine that they won't want to move ahead with more episodes.
I still can't believe Bruce spent next to two decades of serial killer-esque focus and grief calling Alfred 'Pennyworth' this whole time It was actually really surprising to see Harvey died, but in a way Two Face in this was an inverse of the comics villain, he had the dark impulses for sure but contrary to comics the good side won out, he was able to pull himself out of it, but tragically his good nature still cost him and he died doing a good thing Not sure we needed the Joker stinger at the end though, like the voice sounds good but like, we could've gone through a lot more villains and stories before getting to Joker.
The only thing I want from Season 2 - longer episodes. Not terribly long, like 5-10 minutes max. As you guys said, the show takes things slow but imo it needs this additional time to treat everything with utmost respect and care. Otherwise, this show was fantastic.
I'm excited for their take on the Joker in particular because of his voice. The only deep voice Joker's I can think of are Under the Red Hood, and that weird take on the Joker from The Batman in 2004.
This version of the Joker is similar to his original appearance from the comics. I really hope we see that version. A bringer of death and destruction who doesn't care that much about Batman and is more serious than the other versions. I am pretty sure that's John DiMaggio reprising his role from Under the Red Hood. His my second favorite Joker voice actor, after the legend himself M.H.
I was shocked to see Batman picked up the gun. I did not expect that even though he didn't kill the cop. The fact Batman pulled the trigger is another level on its own. That's a tactic of intimidation. I think because this cop is courrpet to the core, he felt he needed to push the envelope to another level. In his mind Batman's like don't fuck with me.
I really hope that Harvey is not dead. I hope we see in a later season that he somehow managed to pull through and the police lied so he can be safe from Thorne.
I like that they are going for a more Crime-y joker and a less jester-y joker since I think that version of the character lines up better with this time period
What's up with superhero animation getting awesome again? Certainly not complaining, but can we please keep this up? From Spider-Verse to Ninja Turtles to X-Men 97 to this...hot damn, things are looking awfully good on the animation front.
It's a great series! I feel like it should have way more hype but I think one of the problems is people finding out that the Penguin is a woman in this show. I'm sure a huge portion of toxic people immediately wrote it off before watching a single episode because they're so small and fragile inside. For whatever reason I think a lot of people won't give a show a chance at all if they hear negative things about it, without taking into account the type of people that have those negative opinions. I love Batman and this is some damn good Batman!
The only thing I didn't like about the show was the Joker at the end. It felt tacked on and pandering. Everything in the world they built has been better WITHOUT the Joker, including and especially Harley. They have a really good thing going without him, I don't want season 2 to just turn into The Joker Show.
I totally get that. Still this show seems to be willing to outright kill off members of the rogues gallery so it's possible Joker will not be in it much or even just be killed pretty fast. Plus they didn't, in this season, let a villain dominate and neither did B:TAS really. (I'm more mixed on this series than most here though. There are things I liked and things I didn't.)
Season 2 is already in production.
Thank god
The moment when he finally calls Alfred by his first name got me really bad. Awesome series.
Inverting two face and making the burned half the “good” half, and his point to Barbara and Bruce about how it’s not justice if he gets a free pass when others don’t just because he knows where the bodies are buried…this show is SO GOOD, man. Can’t wait for season 2!
Montoya's voice actress confirmed she's recording lines for Season 2 on her social media. We're doing this.

I love the absolute *disdain* on Batman's face when he hits Flass and throws the gun in the water. Like he feels dirty even having to touch them.
One thing to notice on any potential re-watch is there are no happy endings for any of theae episodes. Even with a victory, all of them have some soet of depressing or horrific event to conclude them.
The jokers voice is one of the most terrifying I’ve ever heard
I’m pretty sure it’s the guy from Under the Red Hood!
@@GameknightJ14you mean the same guy who voices bender and Jake the dog
John DiMaggio has got that good good
@@Beymaster20247 As well as Bullock in this show (and a ton of other background extra characters).
“Barbara Gordon rules, man!” Hell yeah, one of the best parts of this awesome show❤️

The whole series just setting up for him calling him Alfred.
Such a good series One you sit and watch
Jay absolutely hit the nail on the head with his description. Can't wait for season 2!

Evil has a union. Course they do, you know how high a demand there is for henchmen in Gotham?

do bad shit safely
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REACTION SINCE I FINISHED THE SERIES

such a great show. 10/10 overall, loved almost everything about it. so excited for season 2!
I freaking loved this series, really hope there’s a season two!!! Great reaction guys ❤❤
Man such a good series, i wish more watched
Took me too long to catch that Oar

I’m excited to see this shows take on the joker. It’ll be cool to have something different
They’re probably going to do the golden age Joker
I'm excited for their take on the Joker in particular because of his voice. The only deep voice Joker's I can think of are Under the Red Hood, and that weird take on the Joker from The Batman in 2004.
Just looked it up and season 2 is in production! Let's fucking go
Yah Time for Lashie to find out if Two face gets Juuuustice
Please...Season 2!
By the Way, Barbara Gordon Rocks!
We’re def getting a season 2, it’s already in production

Jdim was 75% of this cast so probably
No season 2? Parish the thought, we must see the 🦉!!!
You should look at doing the Duck Tales reboot - funny, exciting, and full of heart.
The shot with the two hoods on the dock with Tommy guns looking for Batman. Straight from the old Animated Series titles. Loved it.
We’re getting season 2, I hope we get more villains
One of the ways you can see how great a show is at the end you aren't sure if Batman actually killed Flask until they show he's alive.
“Oarrrrr” got me 😂
such a good ending and felt like we got real character growth.
I was shocked to see Batman picked up the gun. I did not expect that even though he didn't kill the cop.

I can’t wait for season 2
This season was good
Make him look exactly like the man who laughs
The only thing I didn't like with this series was Dent getting killed off. Could have continued down the dark path in S2 to fully become Two-Face.
I really hope that Harvey is not dead. I hope we see in a later season that he somehow managed to pull through and the police lied so he can be safe from Thorne.
its confrimed for season 2
i have enjoyed every moment of this show and every moment of you guys' reaction. Caped Crusader really goes down QUITE well.
Love this show and it's getting a lot of hate for some reason in the bat-fanbase.
This show is fantastic and can’t wait for a season 2. Make it happen people. Do it!!!
Season 2, 3, 4, etc.
I always saw Caped Crusader as a Beware the Batman nock off, with the Joker appearing at the end as a way of preventing cancelation.
And I love it.
Kevin Conroy set the bar so high and it’s great hearing everyone working so hard to honor what he gave us.
I like that they are going for a more Crime-y joker and a less jester-y joker since I think that version of the character lines up better with this time period
This was such an incredible season finale.
Does Mall Baby “Jay Sloppy Joe”?
(K… promise that comment won’t happen again)
Imagine being able to call Batman
season 2 is on the way! its confirmed!

The show was initially greenlit for 20 episodes, so more is coming.
It’s been renewed for seasons 2 & 3

So have you guys ever seen The Batman 2004?
😄
yessssss
Hope you guys will react to the new Arcane official trailer 🙏
I hope they don't. Trailers are trash for content creators as it just ruins what they'd react to in the full show.
