I seen the rear wheel bent outwards in the Copart picture. Open your eyes. It’s a salvage auction, why do you think they write off a 60k truck? For $1500 damage? Not likely
Copart did not do this. Copart does not have the facilities to hack cars together like this or doctor them up. This truck was sold once at copart through an insurance company, and some third party bought it and hacked it up and ran it right back through the auction. Always pay attention to who the seller is. Google the VIN before the auction and see if you can find out who the seller is via another website other than copart.
***Classified*** why does copart let these third parties sell cars like these on their site? The car was posted on COPART site....also if they knew there was damage to the undercarriage why did they not specify it?
Paul Bunz about a third of all copart sales are third party. That’s where all the donated and non public vehicles come from. It’s a car auction, IAA does the same thing. As for the damage, they do not have to specify. It’s up to the buyer to investigate the lot themselves. Also they may not have even known, the guy taking the pics isn’t some master body tech. They’re just inventorying the vehicle.
Be careful of buying car like this CoPart. They have professional photographer who is good at their job taking picture that show very little damage to make the car sale high as much as possible. Every Vehicle I buy at CoPart look nothing like the photos even if it show very light damaged. From on, I have to always time it by 10x the damage of it original photos to make sure it is worth it. But this car particularly, CoPart probably didn't do this because they don't have the tools or facility or time to do this. What probably happens is that some one bought it, try or attempt to fixed it, or take some part from it and changed their mind and put it back to CoPart. That's why you end up getting a Lemon.
It's not a scam, you have a duty to inspect. If you CHOSE not to inspect or order a presale/ pre-auction inspection....caveat emptor. This is on YOU Copart has no obligation to do your inspection for you. Take a minute now to read the Copart terms of service stuff you skipped when you signed up for their service.
Honestly man... that's kinda why you should go look at the cars before bidding.. had you went and looked and looked under the rear you probably would have seen that damage. Never good idea to bid without going to look in person..
I buy over 60 cars a year from copart and never have been scammed. You need to do your research on the car. I garrentee copart were not the ones to block up the suspension. Chances are this was bought before by someone and they modified it to make it look not so bad then took it back to copart to sell. Copart is only the auction house. You got scammed by yourself not looking at the vehicle and not doing your research
It's clear by your description that you know little about vehicles and even less about repairing them. Why would you buy something like this without seeing it in person, or even better, pay a local shop to have someone go look at it. You could have avoided this mess for a couple hundred bucks. You need to stick with buying vehicles locally where you can view them. You saw this truck, you got excited and thought about all the money you were going to make once repaired and you emptied your wallet and you are blaming Carpart when the one to blame is to one you see in the mirror. Best life lessons are usually learned the hard way, sorry kid, this one's on you.
TO GOOD TO BE THRU ALWAYS INSURED ARE A BIG SCAM COPART IN GENERAL IS RIPOFF EVERY TIME U HAVE USED BROKER TO BID OR BUY MEAN MORE FEESS AND MORE FEESSSS JUST TO OPEN GATES FEES $$ TO CLOSED GATES FEESS
Most copart vehicles cost a arm and a leg to buy from the start with salvage title. I would of just saved up money and bought a new truck. Ontop of that they only allow two days out of the week Wednesday and Thursday to preview vehicles. Like wtf are the ladies doing the rest of the week. I’m kind of happy people get fucked by copart I mean what poor boy poser shit is that “look at me I bought a 60k truck for 30k but it’s all crashed and needs work turbos next on it” 😂
Do your due diligence before getting excited about buying a "cheap" new truck. Dont take any auction site photos at face value. Dont buy vehicles from Third party sellers or if no seller is listed - its the same thing - third party seller. After years of body repair experience I can tell you there will always be stuff damaged that cant see in the photos no matter how many they take.
Bro, I checked the lot number and in the copart pictures the rear wheel is as straight as George Michel and Elton John which means NOT AT ALL. Besides, you can clearly see the planks over the rear spring - so no, sorry, there were to many red flags to buy this car and you still managed to spend yor dinero on it
I don't mean to be rude, but i buy Copart cars as well...the damage you are are showing would have been easily seen if you had gone and looked at the truck before bidding. I mean that bent rear wheel would jump right out at you .
@@ibuildexotics7140 i get it, but for something in that price range? No way i buy that sight unseen. If it was an easy fix, the insurance company would have fixed it.
You took a huge gamble my man. I was really close to buy a 2012 Toyota 4runner with 80k miles for 8 grand but the carfax said it was sold at a auction 2 months previous. All those minor damages were huge but it was well covered.
Copart should never have taken the car back or given you any money back its your fault for not doing your due diligence Copart should sue your for slander they did not cheat you a third party seller did
Clearly says all over damage , partial repair , that picture with the blocks under was at copart it was shown before the sale bidding , iran the vin i wouldnt have bought a truck with that much damage unless it was sold for less then 5 k iwould
I've been buying at copart for years, this is how it goes do more research and looking, quit whinging they are wreck vehicles Cowart didn't cover it up the seller did and you didn't do your homework. Suck it up and fix it, it will be a good learning experience.
Lesson learned never buy sight unseen.
I seen the rear wheel bent outwards in the Copart picture. Open your eyes. It’s a salvage auction, why do you think they write off a 60k truck? For $1500 damage? Not likely
At least there is a positive , the frame isn't bent

Also in the auction pictures, www.copart.com/lot/47355399/ , you can clearly see the rear axle twisted.

@@johnjansen2682 Not to mention it's listed as an enhanced vehicle, he basically spent 14k for a paperweight at this point.

This is what happens when a noob buys a salvage. I can’t tell he does not know jack about cars or rebuilding.
You gotta wonder to. if the insurance don't pay to repair a truck like that, its probably cause it's to expensive to fix
Gotta go look at it first. A big purchase like this man you gotta go look at it before you bid!!

They sell wrecked vehicles man.. that's copart. It's called go look at the vehicles before bidding.
So what did you do to the truck?
Edgar R copart ended up taking it back and returning the money

John Jansen the truck was over 2000 miles away in a different state...and they used wood to level the truck....
