Got myself an Ibanez SR500 from the early 2000s and it's by far my favorite sounding guitar. Might have to invest in one of the newer ones since they have the same sound that I love so much
I have an SR1405 that I got in a trade and a modded SR655 that dirt cheap. I think I'm going to get a SRSC806 next even though I suck at bass. Those Premium panga panga necks are awesome
I bought in 1994, a brand new, the first SR 500 introduced and still have it. Still plays great. It has Ibanez pups, where the upgraded SR 500 has the Bart pups and EQ etc. Great basses, cheers.
Great Demo!! Yeah Ibanez can be diabolical with their model numbers but they sure make some great instruments! Nathan needs to come on with Pete to demo some guitars occasionally as well, I like his playing a lot!
Maybe Ibanez could do a promotion to inspire people to name their guitars and basses beyond the corporate name it get's from the factory...Maybe put a spot on the warrantee card where the instrument can have a personalized name in the paper work given by the original owner after they purchased it.
Lol an Islet is a small island. Nice bass, I wish Ibanez had the colour of the body gently splashed through the fingerboard. Just touches of it, nothing to overpowering, think that would make it look even better.
There seems to be an issue with Danish Petes presents from the last video. The Captains downloaded fine but there is an XML File error coming with with Peter link. Have seen few other comments with this issue too, and have emailed. Hope to get this fixed soon.
As for the couches/sofas (whatever) they are obviously "Roasted Tangerine"! Also known as "Tone Couches" LOLz Great Bass playing, gawd "what's his name" is an awesome bass player. (I think it's Nate or Nathan, sorry bro)
Very nice chaps, obviously this is a more expensive item than the Yamaha TRBX 600 range but a similar active pickup idea, same orientation of EQ but extra midrange options. I do think Ibanez basses are prettier though, I wish i had the $A2.5k for that one!
Is your cost in Euros or Pounds, please? Either way I probably can't afford it. (I'm in America and am looking for a bass to learn on. I'll do regular but the 5-string offers a little more IMNSHO.)
I'm convince Ibanez doesn't have a bad bass - I have the $500-ish mid range SR (or maybe SR300?) from 3-4 years back and its incredibly impressive with all the same active features without the fancier pickups - My other two collect dust now. 32" scale (the best) Good enough to gig, active boost can really drive a smaller amp and frankly I can't see myself ever needing to upgrade it since its sooo versatile. Other options from epiphone, squier at the time were pretty shit in comparison. Consider shopping used as well - especially 5 strings!
Ibanez must have had an overstock of bodies with the multi-scale cut out to use up. Should have used a matching neck at that price. Just can't unsee that void between the pick-up and the neck. Sorry my OCD is hard at work. Love everything else about it, including the color.
Amazingly Beautiful Butcherblock Basses is what they should be called, and not those inscrutable secret military codes they are currently using for "Names" HaHa!
Does it really need a Gerwoman to explainify an English term to you guys? An islet is basically a very small island. Same as pig and piglet. That's all. Lesson over. :|
Crikey, Ibanez know their stuff..on all fronts. Nathan can do bass for sure...very musical...Pete obviously cares to know less about the bass....not good when you are demoíng pricey instruments..great value, but pricey nonetheless. I think it's key to remember that 1600 quid is a bunch of cash to a lot of people...make the potential puchasers feel it's worth every penny...which they are.
Listening to Nathan is inspirational. Only TH-camr I've made a playlist for. Nathan you are the sh*t !
Thanks! 😍
Thanks Nazz! 🤩
Cool, Pete is in the house! This is why I love playing both guitar and bass, it's the best of both worlds!
In case anyone is wondering, I just bought this bass and its AWESOME!!
I ordered one and expecting it next week. I would have liked a mayones but can't afford 3,500 for one.
any neck dive? I tried lots of SR premium and all-neck dive. But this one got great wood body and so on
@@xx2 I’m sorry I don’t know what neck dive is exactly….pls explain

A friend used to have one, and I've got a 2007 SR505. Super solid basses, great for a bass-playing mainly guitarist!
I got a SR300, SR400, SRX430 and a SR500 and the 500 is one of the best basses I've ever played or tested.

These two lads work really well together. Very entertaining
YES! Always wanted to see Nathan and Pete jam together.
Really liked the play out guys.
Great Demo!! Yeah Ibanez can be diabolical with their model numbers but they sure make some great instruments!

Sounds fabulous.
That outro jam was sweeeeeeet guys!!!
Those basses look and sound awesome!
Nathan and Pete should do more videos together.
great jamming at 17:20 til end of the video really showcased the bass !
Aye! Lovely as always
Love you guys Jamming ! So good !
I love fenders, but in my opinion Ibanez basses are one of the best sounding ever. Love it!
Great Vid, thanks Gents! =)
Pete's custom shop Tele sounds awesome, as well as the Ibanez. I want both!
They should make a bass body from a cutting block, that way we could make good use of it.
Pls get the King brothers in for a demo. That would be historic
Man I really want this bass right here
A "rusty orange" sounds like something that would get someone put on a list.... and for good reason.
I wish that I could play 1/10th as good as Pete! Great sounding and looking bass.
Maybe Ibanez could do a promotion to inspire people to name their guitars and basses beyond the corporate name it get's from the factory...Maybe put a spot on the warrantee card where the instrument can have a personalized name in the paper work given by the original owner after they purchased it.

Hi Nathan and Pete, I would have liked to see Pete play the bass, and You on the guitar, just a thought, Troy from Alantic City 🌆
As for the couches/sofas (whatever) they are obviously "Roasted Tangerine"! Also known as "Tone Couches" LOLz Great Bass playing, gawd "what's his name" is an awesome bass player. (I think it's Nate or Nathan, sorry bro)
That finish is gorgeous! The bass would have looked even better with a maple fretboard. (Why must Ibanez be so opposed to those?)
Naaaah. Rosewood and Ebony are where it's at. I don't think I've ever seen a maple fretboard that looked good (that wasn't roasted).
Nice.
I love you guys bickering. Hilarious.

STOP FLIPPING THE SWITCH PETE! 🤣🤦🏻♂️
Damn that was annoying haha
it's ibanez time again
Hope the “car issues” get sorted out soon!
I agree 100%.

@@EdgarC701 Got it, thank you.
That's pure professionalism.... Turn a balls up into Jazz 🤣 great playing fella

Idk what but I look at that bass and it reminds me of the movie 50 first dates. Lol
Lol I get it. Well played, it does have that feel.
I feel like drinking a cocktail now. Cheers

It is all about Nathan's face.
Are your left and right mic channels reversed?
Probably! 🤣
Pete really spoilt this video.........................

Your tennis shoe laces thread through eyelets...

Sounds pretty good for an Ibanez, they usually sound terrible to me...
I hope there’s other colors lol
Don't like the dark gray background of the new set.
