I am so glad that everyone is apparently uploading mud videos. I own this deck in paper and it is an absolute blast to play. Even if you do have to sometimes figure out how to beat a turn one null rod..
@@ThrabenUniversity (at the last event I went to playing this deck. I went 7-1. I beat a T1 null rod twice. Once with Argentum Masticore, once by animating it with Karn and dismembering it.) Still watching the video but can't wait to see where it goes.
43:05 Bosejiu doesn't actually let you search for Basic Wastes because even though it is a basic land, it does not have a Basic Land Type, which is what Bosejiu looks for.
I like Skysovereign, Consul Flagship as a karn tutorable sideboard card, it has etb removal effect, and you can always animate it with karn, attack in. When it does, the removal effect triggers again. It’s also a 5 cmc.
I highly recommend low cmc artifact graveyard hate cards in the sideboard if you’re gonna run Karn and Urza’s Saga main. Makes it twice as likely to tutor up.
Feels like this deck needs a basic land WITH a basic land type, maybe in place of one Urza's Workshop. I absoutly hate getting boseiju'ed without a basic. Though the workshops seemed okay-ish this league.
worth noting (it came up in round 4) faerie macabre could have exiled lattice (or pengine I guess) and then let earn fetch them from exile to close that game much faster. didn't end up mattering, but it seems like the sort of interaction that's worth being aware of
Darksteel Citadel could potentially be better than wastes in place of the janky urza land since it also can't get hit by wasteland but contributes to metalcraft for opal. It does get blown up by Haywire Mite, Touch the Spirit Realms, and I guess March of Otherworldly Light if anyone plays that. Also gets turned off by opposing karns but realistically if the opponent lands a karn you aren't winning anyway. Just a thought
In the storm MU you used mindbreak trap and mentioned veil of summer could get you but they shouldn't still have it. I believe veil of summer doesn't interact with mindbreak trap
I wonder if this deck would want access to Crystal Vein over Workshop. While incredibly greedy, I think the deck would want access to more explosive plays vs. more conservative mana generation.

The answer is just Urza's Saga XD

@@LucksackGames Argentum Masticore is a great idea!

you are right, but why is it this needlessly confusing lol
This is such a dumb interaction I bet 100% of magic players don't know in paper
guess they aren't a basic land type because wotc said so for some reason even though they are basic lands.
@@SnowyGrass probably because it would constitute a 6th basic land type for "Domain" effects.
Huh, that's neat and non-intuitive.
Every time Ouphe locks down an entire board, an angel gets its wings.
45:04 Do you know what other card has a similiar effect? Faerie Macabre :D
Pretty sure it's Shuckle... And now back to being able to enjoy the video 😅
Nailed it!
The shuckle shirt from a few months ago was great.
Don't fuckle with shuckle.
The lack of the laser fueled murder ray saddens me, but i do love some paradox engine combo
i love that you've also adopted stalactite stalker. i love that little dude

"not very cash money of you." keep up the good work Phil. love your channel
Man that game one win at 1 life is a ThrabenU classic. I was just about to lose faith😂
Sometimes you just made to sneak in that win!

How about Blast Zones instead of Urza's Workshop to deal with stuff like Null Rod, Collector Ouphe, ... ?

3:59 Wait, so that WASN'T the sound of Phil letting a squeaker loose into his chair?
I love this deck, looking forward to the games!
In match 4, you could have used Faerie to exile the paradox engine from your own GY to reflect it with Karn and go off harder.
That's sick.
Mind break trap can’t be stopped by veil of summer because it exiles the spells not counter
24:24 keeping LED instead of 2nd karn lets you cast lattice without having to top deck that monolith

56:02 Hey, don't skip going off! That's like cutting out the dunk at the end of a basketball play.
This is a fun looking deck!
how can you play karn and not have crypt on sideboard😢

Urza's workshop is great. It's pure upside and it isn't that hard to turn on. I would like to see one Forest or something though
Round 4, game 3, wouldnt there be an argument to get rid of the mox opal or petal instead of the chrome mox, since the chrome mox is obligate blue?
In the storm MU you used mindbreak trap and mentioned veil of summer could get you but they shouldn't still have it. I believe veil of summer doesn't interact with mindbreak trap
All spells being mad at a combo is pretty funny
Ghastly, Haunter, Gangar?
No. I don't know. Please tell
you should try playing basic lands
I think having just 1 waste instead of the Ulamog would be good, I felt so fustrated when you couldn't fetch a basic to boseiju's activation
You can't fetch waste to boseiju as it doesn't have any basic land type
@@sy-py thank you, I thought it had the same wording as Prismatic Vista or Fabled Passage
All of them !!!!!
Since mind break trap doesn’t counter anything and just exiles, veil of summer wouldn’t have done anything for them in round 4 game 2.

Still mad that Paradox Engine got banned right after I ordered mine.
Urza's workshop should maybe be wastes
