Depends on how fast you drink the nog. If it is consumed over a few days then all nog is fair game, if you drink it all at once only 50% of the nog is fair game to you
This is important. I've let way too much food and drink go bad because I was trying not to eat/drink it all myself, even though nobody else in the house touched it for a week.
Wanted to comment about the same. I'm not sure if Phil saw that line or not, but I thought that was the line he was going for originally. Still won the game, but yeah, I would've picked Grindstone here as well.
You can get away with 60% eggnog consumption. If you pour slightly less for her when you guys decide to have some together, then you could probably push that up to 65%, depending on how sneaky you are
For the egg nog question, I think an azorius mage would say “You either always were, because you were the bad guy who was never granted permission, or you won’t ever be, unless indulge yourself further after they retract their permission”
I feel like vexing bauble shouldnt get banned...its ubiquitous because 0 cost spells are ubiquitous. This is like when heavy duty boots were introduced to pokemon. Boots countered entry hazards, which damn near everyone used. So there were calls for a ban because boots "were too good". But really, boots had high usage because entry hazards had high usage. So smogon kept boots around, and it was definitely the right call. I realize mtg is different because counterspells like force of will and daze impose deck building restrictions, and bauble (basically) doesn't. But it's similar. Bauble is also one of the few new cards with a symmetrical effect. Anyway, I hope bauble doesn't get banned. Ok I'm going to actually watch the rest now lol.
@@rathashira thanks. Too bad wotc didn't see that force of will and other 0 cost spells might be the problem holding back other archetypes. (For anyone reading this in the future: vexing bauble was banned. I'm salty so you can go read the announcement if you want to wrap your head around wotc mental gymnastics)
23:51 so every saga has a triggered ability "whenever a saga token is put on this, it gains this chapter ability", and if it's stifled, it still has the token?
as an eggnog connoisseur, I can confirm the only equitable way to consume eggnog between two people is to each have your own dedicated eggnog carton, it's the only fair way, so you should buy more eggnog, obviously this is the only solution, and a third unclaimed container is needed for best results, can't have one person running out and drinking YOUR eggnog can you?
55% you hit 56% and you risk becoming the bad guy. However if you find your self the eggnog antagonist you can just joylessly pound the rest of the nog and blow right past bad and plant your self firmly in disgusting which may be preferable. edit: others have made good points about how long ago the eggnog was purchased but I was working under the assumption the eggnog lasting more than two days was not a realistic scenario. Good luck with your holiday treat etiquette everyone!
48:06 I don't think you having priority is relevant? Ignoring the priority pass from playing Saga, they can just vacuum in response to the Unearth activation, no? It's not like Echo where it gets a chance to leave the graveyard without the chance to interact.
The nog drinker in my house gave this answer: You drink 40-45%, that way you can say 'i saved you most of it babe, i know you love this stuff' Step 2)??? Profit
I still feel like Defense Grid is just going to become the new slot in for Vexing Bauble. If anything, I'd rather VB stay legal and see more creatures with removal stapled to them being played.
Defense grid is more mana, can’t be fetched by saga and can’t be cycled. Removal attached to things is also way worse against bauble since they can often just cycle it in response. I think bauble, fleshraker and psychic frog need to go next ban.
I am so sorry that I made you play this deck into this much splash hate 😂

on 29:55, you get the grindstone, suspend Furnace's mana, swap it w GS and win

You are required to leave precisely 2 tablespoons in the carton for her coffee. Feel free to drink the rest.
50% Egg Nog consumption before "bad guy" status comes into effect.

43:26 I do not understand the line he was trying to protect against. Why did he have to hold priority and weld and what was he even going to weld?
@29:50 when they are going to green sun for Collector is it just better to let them then kill it with Blast so they cant get it later?

If you bought it, it's 65%, if you didn't buy it, it's 50%.

75% definitely solidly puts you in the "bad guy" territory, but this can be mitigated by restocking soon and often!!
48:15 were you gambling on them not seeing the dragon engine again? bc if not, isnt playing saga a punt bc of its etb trigger?
14:20 I have been playing this game for a long time and did not know about that at all lmao
Vexing Bauble shouldn't be banned. It's a hard counter to the less-fair stuff going on in Legacy.
It is almost never used that way. It is primarily used by unfair combo decks as a 1 mana defense grid

At least grid can't be pulled off saga

@@jimmyprager Also, Defense Grid makes FoW cost 3, Vexing Bauble makes it cost 5, which is huge.
I'm lucky that my fiancé doesn't like egg nog, so I always get 100%
50% until day 3 then it's free game
