I'm glad that "I'm making waffles!' line is iconic to other people too! I specifically remember hearing it in the trailer for the movie when it was still new and I was like 5 or 6. My parents recorded Shrek off the TV onto VCR and I watched it sooooo many times

Fun fact Chris Farley was initially hired to do the voice Shrek, and had recorded nearly all the dialogue in this film but unfortunately before completing this movie he passed away so DreamWorks recast the role to Mike Myers who insisted on a complete script rewrite and to leave no traces of Farley's version of Shrek. In my opinion this film is still my one of my favourite childhood animated movie, and then I'm gonna make some waffles, never gets old.

The forehead bone, or "frontal bone" of the skull, is the hardest bone in the human body. If you headbut someone in the face with your frontal bone, you may at most receive a split in your forehead skin along with a little bit of pain. Your victim however may likely receive multiple broken bones in the cheeks, nose, and upper and lower maxilla (to include teeth). I think you know who the winner of this fight will be. However, if you headbut someone else's forehead, you'll probably end up making each other mad, at which point things will likely escalate to knives, guns, or small tactical nukes. So, if yjou headbut someone, its all about your aim. Sorry. This is probably way more information than you wanted.

Interesting. In my family it was common to headbut softy others' foreheads or touch them (yes, goat style). Not as a sign of aggression, as not a threat.
I didn't know you could attack people using it, I thought our natural weapons were our fists (well, I guess you could bite someone, but it's weird).

I get mild ptsd from this movie, because ALL throughout middle school this and second hand lions were literally the ONLY movie our teachers would play, it's almost like they were unaware that different movies existed, it got so bad that our English teacher offered to play a movie during study hall, and when she put in shrek there was such a loud uproar of complaining from the class she turned around and said "WOULD YOU ALL JUST RATHER SIT IN SILENCE!? ". I'm sure she expected everyone to so no and get all scared, imagine her face when she heard a mighty collective "YES!!!" From pretty much the entire classroom 🤣.we sat in happy silence that study hall.

7:27 they key to headbutting is practice and squinting as hard as possible, which tightens the muscles of your T-zone (eyebrow-ridges, bottom of the forehead and nose) and cushions the impact of the headbutt and reduces your daze.

The thing about headbutts is that they're not supposed to hit the other person's forehead, its supposed to hit their nose. The whole goal of the headbutt is to break the other person's nose and little else.

I wonder if the film would have done as well had Chris Farley been able to record all of his lines? He was originally cast as Shrek, but after his death, they decided to recast the role with Mike Myers, and have him use a Scottish accent for the character. I think he used a similar one in the 90s film "So I Married an Ax Murderer".

  • @Peregrin3

People always point out how messed up this movie because of all the animals that died, fair enough but the really messed up thing in the movie is the fact that Fiona marries an ogre, she may be cursed to look like an ogre but she is still human. Slightly less messed up is that donkey hooks up with a dragon. So don't hurt poor little animals but bestiality is A-OK.🤔

Shrek 1 and 2 great, 3 is trash, we pretend 3 doesn't exist. but 4 is actually not bad, I'd even say its good.
