@@nsasupporter7557The hell it is. What are you smoking? The damn memes are what’s overrated. “Dank memes” wreck the value of everything. (Or at least people’s appreciation for things.) Over-saturation tends to do that. The movie’s damn near perfect-at least relatively speaking, as perfection is an infinite ceiling that can never actually be reached.

Apparently in the musical, Farquad hates fairytale characters because he's part dwarf, hence his small size, and resents it, thus despising fairytale characters.

Thanks for uploading this gem of a movie, Sophie! I just really appreciate and enjoy you vibing with the soundtrack and reading the iconic lines, I would do the same thing all the time as a kid. Shrek and Shrek 2 are the best movies in the franchise, and the best of DreamWorks next to Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. It's always been my favorite movie as a kid and I can definitely catch the adult humor and references better now as a grown-up, and I especially loved the humorous jabs at Disney and subverted tropes of your typical fairy tale stories

Did you know that in Shrek: the musical. They gave Lord farquad(?) a backstory. Apparently he's a fairytale creature as well. his dad is a dwarf and I assume that his mom was a dwarf as well or that she was a human. Idk been a while since I've watched it.
Finally you started watching the Shrek franchise, honestly, I was surprised that your used to watch these movies as a kid and you even knew the lines. Let's go for the sequel. I can imagine you vibong with the hero song like in Super Mario

I have “shrexy” in giant scrabble letters hanging in my apartment, this movie is in my top 5 for sure including Shrek 2. I didn’t totally hate Shrek 3, got high and the dada scene with donkey got me 😂

Came here knowing Sophie would do a whole singalong to All Star. Stayed for Sophie quoting/singing along with the movie and painting out the bear rug

@@SophieLentsthe mother bear is still alive. The people who worked on the film revealed she is still alive and appears in the kaoroke dance which happens after the credits.
Hope you see the other three movies and the holiday shorts at some point. I always loved the pop culture references and the meta references this movie made to the material they poke fun at.

For those not in the know, in older forms of English, the "-(e)st" ending is used for the second-person singular conjugation (i.e. the singular form of "you"), so she basically said "todos sabes", "jeder weißt" or "все знаешь".
(I guess technically also "chacun sais" would qualify, but it only applies in writing, since it's pronounced identically to the correct "chacun sait" due to those pesky silent letters.)

Shrek is my one of favourite childhood movies 💚💚 the story is fantastic the characters are awesome and think Lord Farquaad really great villain 🦹♂️ and the comedy is the best especially from Donkey the most 😄 and soundtrack is spot on. Also I love the romance between Shrek and Princess Fiona 🥰 they are so meant to be ❤️❤️ Great Reaction 😉 and hopefully you can do the rest of the trilogy 😊👍👍

Well, if you find yourself in Thailand, it looks like rat on a stick is served there. Victorian Brittan appears to have had rat pie...... My search also turned up an answer on Quora: "In general, the taste of rodents like rats and mice is often described as gamey, with a slightly nutty or earthy flavor." Off hand, this suggests to me a good paring would be a lightly sweet and fruity sauce. Possibly a sweet earthy veggy like beets as a side.
I guess Mama Bear in Shrek and Olivia Colman Mama Bear are two different bears.
If you wanna see another version of shrek you shoukd check out the musical. Not for everyone but very fun and i totally am not biased as a theater kid lol

Second, Shrek original voice acting is actually kinda cool. Definitely need to watch it in English now lol (long story short, English ain't my mother language and despite preferring movies with their original audio and translated subtitles ever since I know how to read, animated movies and Comedies were a whole other story cuz of this thing called "localization")
Third, I love Shrek 3 for some reason and I suspect that the Brazilian voice acting has THE role on this small fact. That one scene in the boat is deeply engraved in my mind lol

And last but not least. I used to absolute HATE Shrek (nd Dreamworks in general tbh) when I was younger cuz I was a major Disney wh*re... oh, the damage caused by being raised on fairytails and happy endings lmao
As I was getting older tho, Shrek has won a very special place in my heart while most of my childhood movies got frowned upon for a handful of reasons that don't really worth mentioning lol

Hello Sophie. First off watched this movie 1000's of times, and I still get a kick out of it.
The bit about slavery. yeah. I see fairytale creature trafficking and slavery, torture and
execution. Farquaad will gladly sacrifice his soldiers and guards to see his dream come
to fruition. The scene where mirror is introducing the damsel choices to his Lord plays
the theme song from The Dating Game, and the song is Spanish Flea by Herb Alpert and
The Tijuanna Brass. And when Farquaad is going over the images of the princesses he
appears to be doing something that is quite disturbing, I could be mistaken, but I don't
believe children get these little insider jokes adults find amusing. Yes, the second movie
is quite good too, and you get introduced to a certain Bandito cat.
I've also had nightmares where I'm either falling, flying like superman or, jumping about like
a hyperactive Spiderman. Dreams can be nice but they can seem to be a little dark. See You next time.

A funny take from this movie was done by incels: They claimed Fiona picked Shrek because Farquaad was short. Literally. (No, it wasn't because Farquaad was a narcissistic dictator with the personality of a doorknob, they really decided that his HEIGHT was why Fiona picked Shrek)
