Unrelated question for this video, how can I go back in firmware on my ddx9906xr? Since putting on the new firmware it seems to like to disconnect my phone (bluetooth) when it wants.is it as simple as renaming the old firmware update to look like its newer than what's on the unit currently?
I haven't updated the firmware on mine but planned on doing it because I keep getting my phone and android auto dropping. I did a little reading and it sounds like an android auto problem.
I have this radio in my car. I love it. Is there a way to have it connect to a flip screen in my SUV. My installer said that it doesn't.
Part 1 of the video shows it has a composite video output for rear seat entertainment. The bigger question is what video source are you going to use since this does not have a DVD player.

Idk if it worth $1,200 :/ a lot of features but all I use is CarPlay. All these themes, templates etc are pretty much useless nowadays. Idk, doesn’t seem like a good upgrade from my NEX pioneer yet. Good video by the way
does your pioneer have built in DSP ? mine doesn't . and how can templates and theme's be useless? i'm torn also but i bet this this sounds amazing .
This would blow any nex you have out of the water. Just the fact that you use carplay says it all. This would be too advanced for you to fully take advantage of.

You have to make sure the plug is in all the way and that the brake wire is grounded

Can someone tell me why the bezels are so fat??? Why don't they shorten up the ratio?????
Reminds me of the Kenwood DMX1057XR also $1199 also 10.1" 720p bonded screen with 2012 bezels. It looks like car audio manufacturers just put there name & software on the radio an some other company makes the radios for them.

Apparently in 2008 JVC and Kenwood combined to form JVC Kenwood Holdings.
DMX1057XR looked identical to this radio other than lack of a volume knob on the Kenwood model.
Maybe next year car radios screens will catch up to 2017 tv bezels.
Some people didn't like the volume knob so this maybe a plus for some people.
Since its a car radio thicker bezels provide better protection from physical impact and effects of sun burn

Because that's a smart module and harness that is sold separately.
For $1200 I'd expect a nicer looking UI :/
I would say you just have bad taste as this is pretty nice.
@@jasonmorehouse3756 it looks like then at least two people are here with "bad taste". I really missing better customization for the UI. It uses weird colors. By the way, where did you download the JVC app that you can use to link your own photos as a background? In Europe it is unaccessible...
