Painted/airbrushed on 100% I've owned multiple Klein's. The Klein in this video has the cheaper paint job with the pseudo multi-tone, I've owned a Klein quantum with a real colour shift paint job, the purple-green-blue colour. I also owned a Klein Mantra with the blue-green-yellow multi tone. Nice bikes, shame nobody does cool colours anymore... Currently using a plain steel Mercier service des courses because I need some inspiration 😂
@@neuregelThe lightning was bigger and had alot more "glow" around it, it wasnt white it was that off-white fluorescent yellow amd they had the storm clouds and everything, it was that 80's/90's Hollywood/heavy metal style thunder and lightning 😂
Still blows my mind that you could order that paint job as a factory option, as the cost wasn’t that high as an extra. Especially when you consider the amount of work it needs. Looks stunning. Would love to see photos of the final build at the end of each video. No doubt this has got purple Paul components on it now (or it should have!)
Unsurpassed aluminum frames! KLEIN! 😊 Look at that head tube! Decade or more ahead everyone else, back in the days.. Even today,it looks advanced! Fantastic frameset! 🙂
Your skills always amaze me! I watch and think how he is going to get those results doing that. Then POOF! You're there with another fabulous painted frame. Thank you, and I hope 2024 is a great year for you. 🇨🇦
I'm sure the Klein bike builders were never that precious about 'original' paint jobs, etc. As long as the restoration job is done by a talented painter who knows the fundamentals and honors the Klein paint catalog, then bloody well go for it!
I own five KLEINS , two of them I've had since new . I have a buddy that owns a Attitude with the storm paint scheme . KLEIN also had a option paint job that glowed in the dark ! Love the work done on this piece .
Have you ever tried to use small "disposable" surgical scalpels to remove decals? I use them instead of exacto knives in "non-decal removing" day to day use. I like them because they are attached to the handle (they never become loose until they are broken), and they are thin/ergonomic
This should be called customization because the frame color was completely remade by this dude. It came out really good, so the man has skills for sure. I personally rather a beat one then a "fake" one when it comes to the factory color. That's just me though, no hate to the customizer or dude working on this. I'm just one of those "all original" dudes.
Hi, I really admire your work, it's fantastic. I would like the images of them finished at the end of the video to be bigger so that we can see more details and we can admire more. Thanks
O like your videos, they helped me a lot to improve my bikes 👍 Would like to show you wath ive done, but dont know how o can sendo you the images 🙄 thanks for your videos, they are the best
Question I painted bike frame about 4 days ago with spray paint need to install decals do you suggest sanding the frame with 1000 or 800 then clear coating it, what do you suggest thank you
Hi there as someone trying to learn how to paint bike frames I really appreciate your videos. I am hoping that you could answer a few questions. First do you use an LVLP or HVLP gun? I think in one of your videos you said LVLP Second what tip size? Looks like you use a mini gun so I am guessing 1mm. Also do you have to use different tips for primer, base and clear? And do you mix the paint differently if you use the small tip. Seems like all the autobody guys suggest a tip of at least 1.3mm for base and 1.8 for primer
Hey Etoe for someone who wants to become a bike painter like you and wants to learn about what paints you can and cant use , how they react, which to buy etc. Techniques etc. Is there any resources you would recommend to study? Ex. Books or line courses ... so on and so on.
Was the original storm paint scheme lightning painted or decals?
Klein Freaks told me it was made with fairy but hair, but only done in half moon nights 30th of February.
it was painted on. I actually owned one. loved it!!

He takes off the Klein logo first, to piss off the purist trolls. I love it.

It is not my favourite paint scheme for these frames, but your job is stunning. Pleasure to see you working mate!!

Desde Colombia, un gran artista pintando bicicletas.
lovely work, but I prefer the early style klein logo, did the customer request the later klein logo?
O like your videos, they helped me a lot to improve my bikes 👍

wtf this guy so amazing
Amazing as usual, what does this cost to do if someone was seeking you services.
Doesn't makes sense to paint these bikes. It's horrible bad payed.
Amazing work waooo in every video we learn more and more thank you for sharing your knowledge
Glad to hear that

I use LVLP guns with 0,4 and 0,8 and 1,0 and 1,2 nozzles. No I don`t need different nozzels for primer, base and clear.

I'm not a painter. I studied design at an university and visited an art school since the age of 12.
man got skills
Yow bro.. Can I request to you to paint a Vantablack ?? with a touch of 24k gold to a road bike frame 😁✌️
Amazing skills dude! Magic spryer. What company did you buy the sticker with the American flag ?
at ETOE
COOOLLL
Hi ! 800 grit is not to high for paint adhesion ? I don't understand why some people sand primer with 400 other 800 .. 600 ...
Some are morons and some know what they do.
What ever you are on in the intro I want some.
My girlfriends farts are not for sale.
Epic !!
ich dachte du lackierst keine alten Rahmen mehr?
Doch, aber ich arbeite nichtmehr für alte Wichser.
@@ETOE Keine Ahnung wen du damit meinst
Man I don't think so it's the original paint on the bike

stainless bolds directly in aluminum is not what you want to do. they react to each other and get really tight.
There are threaded inserts in the frame, so I don’t know if that’s an issue here.
keep the evil laughs coming
You are a master at your trade.... I wanna have your babies... ooops wait... I can't because my insides are all wrong :p
Amazing!!! Охренеть!!!
👍👍👍
Yes dibs on the old paint dust !!
Original paint 🎨🎨 noooo
handwerklich nice, der look leider nich so nice
Ja richtig hässlich, wie damals bei KLEIN üblich.
Oh no, fabulous paint job but ruining the original is not the way to go (my opinion)
