I love you're comment "some call it classic, i call it crap" that gave me a chuckle
I love that sense of humor
sarcasm and self-distance.
great job as always
This paint job brought so many memories! I did this kind of splatter paint over a fluorescent pink back in 92-93 when I was a teen. At that time my pink bike lost the bright color, I just realized I didn't know about clear coat LOL. short story people were making fun of it because of the "girly" color....then my friend asked me to paint his road bike and even saw couple of copy cats after we did it first. good times for sure! Thanks Martin.
I want to paint my Ritchey Logic with this exact style. The de-bossed logos look like the hardest part though I’m stumped. You are beyond talented! If I win the lottery I’ll just have you paint it lol. The work you put into these frames is worth every cent…IMHO
you are number one!
Looks like a disco bike but it so cool 😀
Loving the resto content
What a fantastic job. This has made think about redoing my 92 Gt Tequesta. Mines fully black with white paint splashes all over it. Well I say splashes, there more like tiger print lines lol. If you google image it you will see what I mean.
Awesome paintjob you realy nailed it.
jajajajaja, me encanta el histrionismo que le pones siempre a tus videos!! por otra parte, me saco el sombrero ante tu talento y profesionalismo!! eres un crack
Awesome stuff 👏 👌
Haha ha >> Thanks again Martin, you're such a funny spraypainter. Your 'performance often makes me laugh!
Well done!
I love getting my Klein fix on this channel :)
Thank you for the great content
Love to pet your KLEIN with a chain saw. Would be great content for this channel.
@@ETOE I've never had one or worked on one. I would love to hear more about whats bad about them to discourage me spending 2 to 6k nzd on getting one to nz. :)
@@ETOE Is it because of the press fit bearings or the non standard quill sizing? Or the thinness of the tubing?
With the cost of these things i'm thinking I would rather get a custom frame made up inspired by the klein and get it painted in one of the paint schemes.
Nice painting work
YOUR JOB IS AWESOME, I BELIEVE YOU ARE THE BEST IN THIS, lit you are so good doing this
Thank you.
The beginning had me cracking up! 😂
Me encanta tus trabajos, gracias por mostrar tus habilidad con la pintura saco muchas ideas de tus vídeos.
Saludos desde Granada el sur de España.
I must have watched ever custom painter on TH-cam, but you are on another level with the information and technics you share. I live a dream that I can custom paint and airbrush for a living, but I just can't see it happening. Your the best!
I live the same dream and I also can't see it happening.
You transform this frame in a phoenix: it rised not from its ashes but colors…wow, what a so nice job!!!!i’m ready to vote “Martin for president of EU”, you’re able to make this continent rise again🤩
'I call it crap' 😂😂😂
I love these old frames but you aint wrong.
Yow, this job is on fire🔥. Awesome painting. Mabuhay from Philippines🖤
Master craftsman at work! Thanks for all the instruction and inspiration. I'm doing a Klein now, what type of rivet should I use for replacement?
Ausome bro
I always ask myself how someone can make a profit doing these custom painjobs. With all the time invested in prepwork and handsanding/experience, it's hard not to charge a 4 figure price. Also remembering the time where he stripped carbon frames by hand, that was total madness (everyone who has done it, can agree)
@Ruben Schepers, I know that Martin also is skilled in videography and photography, lighting and lenses, the equipment is expensive! He is a gifted Artist, Add that to the equipment and consumables to paint the frames, the computer software for the masking stickers and it has to be a "Labour of love" because he'll never get rich! But the time, skills, knowledge and experience that Martin puts into each and every frameset that he paints is priceless. I'm just glad that he shares it with us.
@@joseywales3789 Yes, a "Labour of love" for sure. But it has it's limits. When you're multiple hours in a wetsanding session with beat up skin and nails. I did it for a few projects of my own. But I can't imagine doing it week in, week out.
Gotta have multiple jobs flowing at once otherwise it’s not economical. But if you have the correct flow and planning it’s quite profitable
Top !
Brooo get a voice over guy who talks for ya ^^
its really cringee but funny at the same time
Cringe brings the clicks 🤪
Sweeet!
🙌🙌
'So people call it vintage, i call it crap' hahahahhaha so good
I don’t care what you say. That paint job is bad ass. Especially under the black light awesome totally awesome!!!! Fuck yeah!!! One of my favorite bikes you painted.
Aloha, Sammy D
wow
Dude!!! This project is completely sick!!! AWESOME!!! love it!
not often the clear is more difficult than your paint, ended up pretty cool though, nice!
Thanks 👍
Too fancy for me
wise words.
Given your handle and skill set I've always been curious about your graffiti background..
you are tooooooo funny !!!!!
@ETOE do you always strip the old paint off or can you wet sand it and paint over it? I would like to use the original color of my bike but add to make it a camo paint job. Thanks!
Question: I noticed you peeled the decal masking for the logos after they were sprayed black… do you then re-apply the logo masking perfectly over top of the painted logo? How do you get it so perfectly applied overtop of the painted logo? I’m stumped and blown away.
If you have watched Martin paint his frames, you will see that especially on Kline frames, forks and stem/handlebars, he gets the debossed effect by spraying the black Kline and attitude logos, waits for them to dry and flash off all of the solvent in the black paint, re-mask over the top of the logos, two or three coats of clear, remove the mask and then a final coat of clear that makes the logos feel as though they're lower than the paint on the rest of the frameset. A long and laborious task to emulate the factory finish! Attention to Detail! It is even more incredible when you realise that the painted logos need to be fully cured otherwise when he peels off the mask, the black paint comes with it and the clearcoat needs to be still soft and not fully cured otherwise he will struggle to dig the mask on the logos out of the clearcoat. It's a juggling act!
@@joseywales3789 thank you I appreciate your reply!
@@joseywales3789 Helpfull, thanks. Needs a steady hand doing this (never done it).
Maybe I've missed it, but didnt see the link to the powder you used ? If you didnt put anylink, care to say what was those powder and what did you misex them with in order to be able to splash it?
Du machst einfach die geilsten Sachen!!!
🤪👍
Aber hast du schon mal Schriftzüge mit Blattgold gemacht? Das war eine Idee, die ich an meinen Bike machen möchte.
Please watch this video for gold leafing: th-cam.com/video/fEEVbueBiqU/w-d-xo.html
Will this glow for ever? I mean longterm?
Hello from Moscow 👍
Great Video. Quick question. I'm about to get an old AL frame blasted by a third party. What media do you recommend for AL frames? Cheers.
All the ones with not more than 3 on the MOS scale.
@@ETOE Thanks.
Does using paint remover gel damage the bike? would you suggest?
Yes and no depending on the bike.
@@ETOE ALU6061 Scott genius lt40 ?
"some people call it vintage, i call it crap" hahahaa
Yo Martin! What colour powder do you use? Greetings from the UK
Baby powder

@@tomdab3657 ARCO IRIS SAS sells fluorescent pigments in their shops. Can't link them :-( They have stores for France, Germany, UK, Spain, etc...
😆👍
I tried one time to blast a bike frame in the grit blaster at work. It couldn't even get the clear coating off. That's when I realized our grit media was crap. I ended up using my dads outdoor grit blaster with thick sand and it came right off.
I was wondering how come you painted over the lettering until you peeled it off and put more clear coat over it.
Just crapy KLEIN paintjobs have gaps between the logo and color called "debossed". I have to recreate that or some KLEIN mob will rape my family if not.
l want one of your bicycles, please, your bicycle is really cool. I don't have a bicycle, please, please
I have no own bicycle. You need to ask my clients to give you their bikes.
Can i please have a bike
Sure
Hi ,can you give me custom frameset , subscriber from Philippines ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ilove your channel and custom idea 💡

Sorry but you are wrong.
I dont know who told you about "graffiti" KLEIN paint scheme , but I have to tell you that it never existed.
What you are painting is a "MARDI GRAS" paint scheme as KLEIN named in their catalogue.
Mardi Gras is a French term for "Shrove Tuesday" and refers to events of the Carnival celebration.
Waste of time
Look mom a KLEIN dude.
Thanks🙋🏻♂️
Its possible to coat a raw aluminium frame? Just for i love the aspect of raw clean aluminium. Thanks again for all🙋🏻♂️
Thanks a lot. Please watch this video to find out how to do raw or candy colored aluminum: th-cam.com/video/fv003yZepdo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5C7MGkmqNBhRus80
@@ETOE thanks Eto! Amazing your content channel. Keep doing it 💪
@@ETOE i keep thinking, the first spray is a primer for plastic? I never cross in my mind 🤔
