There's something uniquely satisfying about old video game weapon animations
Yeah I really don't like the modern "tactical" reloads, they feel like they're trying really hard if that makes sense
there's definitely a charm in their simplicity, even if they can look bad/wrong sometimes
@@reincarnatedsoul1341I know what ya mean.I like and dislike em at the same time haha
They’re clunky. It’s charming
@@reincarnatedsoul1341 theyre so shakey it pisses me off
For as popular as New Vegas is, I'm surprised this is one of the only showcases in HD quality
Because it's even rarer for anyone to play vanilla anymore...
I tried looking up one for 76 and i could only find one video and it was 5 years ago
@@spoonybard64vanilla on pc is VERY crash prone unless you follow a mod guide which has become the new standard
@@spoonybard64Not really since a lot of people still play this game on Xbox.
Man even without mods FNV was already perfect for me
no but i like the guns.
It wasa buggy mess lol and its probably my fav game of all time but saying it ran fine without mods is disingenuous
@@enclave9614 idk, but i never have any bad experience with it, no bugs, no crashes, no nothin.
besides the walk speed
@@liluzisquirt2k holster your weapon and switch to light armor/clothing and you'll run fast
Of course, the variety of weapons is amazing. And the best thing was the variety of ammunition types. With just one hunting shotgun, you can fight not only humans but also robots from Abominations. NV is a masterpiece in gaming history.
Most hateful critique about Fallout: New Vegas:
PS: Jokes aside, it was definitely a great advancement in the series, and Obsidian surely did it well and all for a spin-off. Now, have a nice day !
Ive always kinda liked fallout new vegas and 3s combat and gunplay everthing just feels so satisfying
im more impressed by the fact that somebody actually manages to play fnv for 46 minute straight without crashing
When you get the proper stability mods installed and avoid the ones that break the game, you can have an almost crash-free playthrough
i have like 112 mods in the game and i get no crashes lol, the most i get is small stuttery stuff, thank you NV Anti Crasher mod
tbf, most of my mods are not that heavy, theyre mostly like small changes to the gunplay and not like graphics stuff
@@jasonensteinjaglol 100 Mods pathetic
10:50 most people associate the assault carbine to the m733, but the barrel look more like a 14,5" with a mid length gas block rather of a 12,5" with carbine gas block.
WW2 weapons
1. .45 auto pistol / m1911 1:57
2. 9 Mm submachine gun / M3A1 Grease 5:06
3. .45 auto SMG / M1A1 Thompson 7:23
4. Automatic rifle / m1918 bar 11:33
5. Battle rifle / m1 garand 12:41
Also the silenced .22 pistol is modeled from the British welrod pistol.
@@TheFacelessStoryMaker I can see why you'd think that but it's not, it's based off the Ruger Mark III
Some unique weapons are missing, like maría, pew pew, q-35 matter moduler, fido, a light shinning in darkness, that gun, etc. You can´t show all weapons if you are missing the unique weapons. This weapons are not copy-paste like the unique weapons from Fallout 4.
Even if it could make the video longer, it's still worth it
The reloads are though. The only unique weapon where the reload is different from the base model is the unique version of the Cowboy Repeater called "La Longue Carabine" which uses the Lincoln's Repeater reload from Fallout 3
I never could get into new vegas but the weapons were fun
Like the game or the actual place in game?
@@danteinpuro319 both
It takes time to get into
how? The combat is the worst thing in it but tahts what mods are for.
@@arkgaharandan5881 if you need mods its a bad game
There’s so many weapons in this video I didn’t even know were in the game 😂. Also, I could’ve sworn the Railway Rifle was in NV too.
It’s only used as a prop in Mick and Ralph’s
@@colonel1003like the infiltrator
So glad I can look at all these guns without having to watch a dude showcase them up against a wall
thanks, have always hated that wall
Why do i feel like obsidian did better animations then fallout 4
For me it's the sound design all guns in FNV sounds in a good way loud and punchy, while F4 most of them sounds weak like someone mashing steppler or something
obsidian did best than Bethesda
Better 🤓☝🏿
Of course something like this will be the top comment.
The best than do my greatest sur
@@lotf5lordofthe595 I swear people love to glaze this game like it’s the second coming of Jesus and if someone criticizes it, they go all berserk. The reason why I stayed away from New Vegas and played the other fallout games instead.
@@burgerfan1 you always like your comment
The hunting shotgun was my favorite
it’s crazy how 3 has like 10 guns total
There's like 2 times as many energy pistols in NV than there is for both regular and energy pistols in 3
And only two or three are viable.
It’s crazy how 3 barely has any guns, barely any story, barely anything to do, and people think it’s amazing
@@spiderofthehood6127 its the worst fallout imo. nv has story and dialogue and 4 has gameplay and better gunplay/variety. i dont count 76
Estas armas son más atractivas que las de Fallout 4 y 76 aunque algunas de New Vegas si están en el 76, Bethesda debería agregar más variery de armas al juego
Inaccuracies/oddities that the subtitles didn’t spot (not including FO3 weapons):
The Hi-power doesn’t press its slide release
The 12.7mm pistol should’ve just been a Desert Eagle. It doesn’t push a slide release.
The 1911 doesn’t use its slide release
5.56 wouldn’t work in a revolver due to being bottlenecked
The BFR’s scope is bolted onto it.
The flare gun doesn’t use its action release
The grease gun doesn’t use its magazine release
The 12.7mm SMG has its sights on its magazine and doesn’t have a stock. And it’s a flat texture once its magazine is removed
The Thompson doesn’t have a jamming sound
The single shotgun doesn’t have a trigger
The caravan shotgun has an unusable screw instead of a front sight
The Courier doesn’t hold the hunting shotgun by the pump
The BAR’s charging handle incorrectly goes forward by itself
The LMG, annoyingly, has its sights on backwards
La Longueuil Carabiner has a completely wrong reload
The lever on the M79 doesn’t work properly
The grenade machinegun should be belt-fed
The energy Thompson has an attachment rail that is never used
The Tesla cannon is no longer single-shot from the previous game
The plasma caster’s jamming animation doesn’t match its model
The arc welder can be un-jammed by shaking it
the LMG sights being backwards is INSANE
🤓
Bro is fluent in yappanese
to be specific, the animators mistook the safety as the slide release on the hi-power and 1911.
Who ordered the yapfeast
Can l ask if there are guns in the DLC?
there is, check the description, the uploader usefully marked which guns belong to dlc, like Honest hearts, Lonesome road and old world blues. GRA is the gun runners arsenal variant of guns
@@nova6732oh ok bro 👍
@@nova6732 but what does DM mean?
@@patrickmartin4594 pretty sure it's Dead Money, another DLC
You should do weapon mods like another milenia.
Why is the hipower in 9mm
Because they're 9mm pistols in real life?
@@Gameprojordan my fault gang I was told they were .45
@@thecleangoblin138
There actually are some really niche Hungarian Hi Powers in .45 ACP, but yeah, they're generally 9×19.
I hear these sounds from lego animations by ffingers
Guns in virgin Fallout 3 vs Guns in chad Fallout New Vegas.
But aren’t most of these guns from Fallout 3?
@@burgerfan1the 10 mm pistol, hunting rifle, sawed off and .44
@@burgerfan1 No. Only around 10% of the guns are from Fallout 3. Most of the weapons in New Vegas are original creations.
@@burgerfan1 no, not at all fallout 3 barely had any guns.
@@burgerfan1maybe around 8 guns, but remember fo3 only has like 15 guns
Missing a whole lot of unique weapons.
Sometimes reanimated works better
Animations are a little janky, even for that era standards, but the guns looks are well done
For reason they're better than Laziness of fo4 and 76.
I know you haven't played Fallout 76. Because it's gotten more weapons and unique ones as well.
this video was already made multiple times ; /
Not really. The only other weapons showcase is some guys pressing his face directly into a wall whilst shooting
Fallout 4 bad, Fallout New Vegas good
Now give me likes
Revolvers in NV had better reload animations than RDR2
Well duh one is a fps and the other is a 3rd person game ofc they gonna focus more on gun animation in a fps
Cap
To be fair, Fallout New Vegas is an RPG first, shooter second. RDR2 is obviously story driven but there are times when you get into intense shoot outs and reloading your gun super slow would not be ideal. I know it’s not realistic, but still you’d have tons of people complaining. Sure in new Vegas you get into some shoot outs as well but it’s much different then RDR2.
why the hell do they all sound the same
I would love this game if the gunplay was not cheeks
those animations are terrible even for 2004 standards
And they are still better than Fallout 4 and 76
i've seen one from 2007 and it's equally bad
it's still a beloved game though
@@facumdo7702 Ehhh, Fallout 4's animations are bland but at least they don't have ridiculous camera shake (plus all the bugs that vanilla NV's guns have), also proper recoil instead of the gun just bouncing up and down lol
@@facumdo7702Now do you really mean that or this just another "Bethesda bad" comment. Because sometimes just saying Fallout 4/76 sucks and end of story sounds like just being petty. Not saying you can't criticize those games, but at this point it's just a low hanging fruit insult.
Well their priority was clearly the writing they were also limited by Bethesda crappy gamebryo engine
Btw if your gonna say the animation is cool its the same as fallout 3 so your betraying your brothers by praising a Bethesda game
Low lQ comment
@@CriminalizeObesity i said the truth new vegas animations have fallout 3 animations
