    In this video we will learn how to use attributes to determine how densely the points will be scattered, and further down the line how many copies of geometry will be, determined by that rule

    We will also try our hand at hand-painting the attribute values, and distributing copies based on that.

    Houdini seems difficult not because of software but because lack of good instructor. Your videos are excellent for understanding how houdini works

    Hi, nice tutorial, How does it work if you want to use rop geometry (like cached particles) instead of a scatter?
    Let's say you want to mask your particles and use the pscale attribute ?
    Cheers

      Just like any other geo. Maybe unpack along the way, and pack back, depends.

    how would you go about using the attrpaint with attribvop?

    • @AriseWorks
      @AriseWorks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Reasonably simple - add the result of your paint to any other attribute via bind and add. Somewhere in the series is the tutorial on that.

    Hey. Thanks for tutrial! But my question is... How to control the "free total count" of scatter by attribute? Thanks again.

    You have used Attribute Paint in the second process, but in my houdini 17.5 . there isnt Attribute paint . What attribute should i use instead of that ??

      @AriseWorks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i don't remember, shold be something similar. Update your Houdini to follow along.

      I think its just called "Paint"

    Great tutorial. But, the first step its increase de geometry resolution. How i can use vop noises and other tools in uv space, without increase de geo res?

    • @AriseWorks
      @AriseWorks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In UV space, as in textures? If so, I'd suggest substance painter/ Quixel Mixer.

    • @gilbertogvg
      @gilbertogvg 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AriseWorks i mean, work in vop without increase de geometry density.

      You can, but results might be different. Nothing stops you from trying anything and everything.
