Oh Bill understands tuning, Billy is just translating it to computer style for Bill. I always explain the timing table as vacuum advance at idle and mechanical advance curve springs at WOT to carb guys. I watch the light bulb go on every single time.

Good to see you all back working together. For Sr, I'm 40+ year GM/Chevy guy, and have 5 of these Fox Bodies. They are very fun cars and a great platform to build. Just keep it blue oval powered. Only acceptable Chevy powered Ford is a yellow 32 deuce coupe. Falcon is a good second exception.

Hey this is great! Love SRC and Old man's garage and live for small block Fords! 3rd generation die hard Ford man here but appreciate a good GM or Mopar too. I've owned 2 foxbodys(89gt and black 87lx t-top car), foxbodys and 90s 1ton Fords are kinda my thing. I just got over a year long battle with cancer and have been looking to get another mustang now that I'm back up and running and this content will be great because I don't have any experience with turbos and the knowledge would be great while I'm saving up and stockpiling parts.
I love this!! Everything is always better when everyone is working together!! Almost feel like MOM AND DAD ARE GETTING BACK TOGETHER!! Lol😂

The funny part is during the test drive bill blames Billy for mashing on it, but yet Bill is the one that mashed on it knowing the wastegates were pinned. So technically I think they're both at fault.

The smoke you see is the turbo seal from too much oil pressure on a journal bearing turbo. Easy fixed with an in line restrictor 👌🏽

Like Bill, I graduated in ‘91. I turned 16 in ‘88 and my first car was an ‘85 IROC-Z. I went to a fairly large (4A) high school, but no one had an ‘87-up GT. There were a bunch of third Gen Z-28s, a couple third Gen Trans-Ams, one ‘84 GT, one C4 ‘Vette and one Grand National. The two really rich kids both drove Porsche 944’s, but were routinely spanked by the domestic stuff.
Literally some of the greatest content on TH-cam, always hilarious. I didn't know you were gonna get on it 😂

Hey guys,check the serpentine belt. I have seen the belt get so worn,they will slip on the alternator when it gets load. You can unplug the exciter wire and listen to the belt. It will squeal or you can hear the alternator slowly pick up speed.Just cause it is a serpentine belt,don't mean it won't slip.Good luck guys,and GOD BLESS!!!!
Holy shit man, I can't believe that I'm older than your dad. I graduated in 1988. As for his comment about the coolest kids having the GT's, down here the smartest ones had the LX coupes because they were the lightest. I bought a new 93 LX coupe as soon as I graduated college and still have it today.

30psi @ 5700 rpm on pump ⛽ shew wee! Lol that is a good little motor. I knew your pops would love turbo efi stuff. We're the same age and I fought it for a long time. Once I switched to it in 2015 I have kicked myself for not doing it sooner. Also, I had 3 of the 5.7" dashboards and there's a reason they stopped making them. Kept freezing or blue/black screening and you have to update it again. That's if it will connect.

Lift the front end up and burp the coolant system as u fill it back up foxbodies are notorious for having idle surge issues and high temp issues when there’s air in the system

the best alternator for the fox body that i have used is through pa performance , indestructable and work great , they should have a 200 amp gen 2-3 alternator for that car , that will work great , try them out i have had great luck with them
