Allison is killing it with the camera work and Tommy's intros and editing are top notch. Really digging these recaps after the race as well. This channel has improved so much in a few years. The all hands on deck approach has been unbeatable. Congratulations, everyone is shining like a diamond.

Tell ya what.. Tommy is cool headed. That car spun almost 1/8 mile and drifted the whole way. Not once did he over drive or get excited. That takes experience yeah, but staying cool is a personal trait. Respect Tommy!

Agreed I think that's going to go a LONG way to healing that father son bond. It swings both ways , they each have their strengths that's what makes them great...WHEN they're not working against each other. Appreciating each other and acknowledging it is huge!!
Billy’s driving and tuning abilities are what has allowed that S-10 to continually swing and hit way above its general performance level and I think this race with Bill Sr driving the truck in a race on a totally shit track he and the rest of the family might finally understand that but the 64 dollar question is for how long. On a side note Bill Sr not wear at least a fire jacket and gloves racing a vehicle running Methanol is flat stupid. I have a very good friend who damn neared died from burns when he had a mishap at a track rental. It was about this time of the year and he has just changed over to a delay box anyway since he was “only” doing 120 to 200 foot hits he just wore his helmet and not his fire jacket, pants, or gloves and instead was dress very much like Bill Sr sweatshirt overalls, cotton socks and work shoes. The long and the short of it he had fuel system mishap and fog of methanol filled the drivers compartment and engine bay, and then ignited and because methanol burns he didn’t realize immediately that he had was on fire until he was suffering second and third degree burns on his hands and by that time his sweatshirt was on fire but again the safety crew didn’t immediately understand/realize he was on fire. The end result my friend suffered burns on his hands, neck, arms, chest, sides and upper back as well as were ever brass rivet and button was including a place you never want to have burns. My point is that don’t be complacent running Methanol or with Methanol around the shop because sooner or later it’s going to hurt you. Sorry but no I not if I sounded like a TH-cam Safety Sally just now but I never want anyone to have to go though what my buddy did and his family. PS when they do skin grafts the take “shave off” layers of skin where you were not burned and to quote my buddy “That’s a new meaning to pain in the @ss and thighs”

Bill is killer tuning a carb.Thats the old school in him.Billy is killer tuning a laptop,and chassis.Thats the new school in him.They clash,but it takes both to be competitive.If/when Billy gets fed up with a carb,or other opportunities outside the family shop open, he'll take his skills elsewhere and his career as a pro will launch.The family will then find it tough to make it out if first round.

Monza said in a video yesterday they start filming America’s List in 5 days, or the day after thanksgiving. Chief said something similar in their last video.

It’s been extremely difficult for the last 5-6 years. It’s not easy to be dad first, and your boys best friend second. The kids have hated me at times, but in the end it’s going to be worth it.

One of the early episodes Billy was trying to tell Bill they should refresh the top end and replace the cam due to some damage it took in the previous event. Old Angry Man told him it would be fine. They scattered that engine at the very next event,..prompting Billy to do it himself and creating one of the first public rifts between them.
Hell, ....the Old Angry Man will also tell you he knows ZERO about tuning. Who taught Billy that??? Billy taught Billy that. So no. You can't take it away from Billy. He has always been a step ahead in that program and whether you want to admit it or not?? The results were pretty clear at Darlington. @@beccabeth2 That Darlington performance was all I needed to see to know what's actually going on. 0-6 for the day. Billy actuslly surpassed Bill quite awhile back in racecar knowledgein general. Like Billy's new BBC. You think Bill had 1% if input on the specs of that motor?? Absolutely not. Bill always harps about how he knows how to tune carburetors and how he can get that truck down the track. But I think we saw when it comes right down to it and you factor in EEEVERYTHING??,...boost curve, fuel air mixture, surfaces, ect ect??? Without Billy to make those crucial calls,...they dont A/B most tracks. Now I'm not saying Bill is completely inept because he isn't. In fact he is a crack carb tuner and knows a couple old school tricks. It's just that Billy is on a completely different level because he knew what the actual future of racing was gonna look like and studied it early on. And it ain't carbureted smallblock Chevys. Showing all the races from launch and then at end of the track is dope. No other channel does that. Another reason why I think your guys channel is the best. Tommy and Allison make a killer team putting videos together.

I can’t get over the quality of video that Allison keeps bringing us week after week as well as whoever she has taught to film the big end since tommy is driving and can’t do it like he used too.
The intro video is just as good as any of the big time production/professional racing big dawgs would bring us on the big tube!
She has progressed just as much as the boys have with their driving and it’s just amazing to me! I can’t wait to see her in the Dart again come spring time!! But then we have Mr Magical Fingers Dry Fire Tommy who is banging on all 12 cylinders when it comes to the editing of all of her footage cause it takes someone with vision to capture the footage in the first place but then it takes someone with a completely different vision to take the footage and create something as magical as what these kids are doing, it just blows my Monday how good they have become in a relative short period of time!!

I guessed last week Billy working on Caddy Jack.. I will stick with that. I see it as a information exchange, Billy helping on Caddy Jack where Chief needs help & Billy learning stuff from Chief & the Crow that will benefit him putting the Nova together. I grew up watching the Flintstones.. Bill reminds me of Fred. Billy's vacation is kinda like the Flintstones visiting the Jetsons. Im a good listener, I also hear what people say & what they don't say

@@dawnmclees I don't follow Street Outlaws but find Chief & Jackie's YT amusing. I feel someone on Chiefs end had some compassion for Billy's turmoil & saw a way to help with a little getaway. Billy is more current on small blocks, carbs, nos & glides. Billy eats, drinks & breathes the small tire street stuff. A lot of race-car parts don't fit, they are just close & you make them fit. Oh yeah, you need to grind that a little or you need to take it apart & assemble it backwards for that or put a loop in a line or countless other things you learn along the way. Billy would certainly be an asset on a small tire build..
Billy seems intimidated by the fab work needed on a tube car, he can learn some stuff there. Then there is the YT content exchange aspect.. Should be good for all involved. Chief has been through the breakups, dealing with fans, fan expectations etc. Billy is current with how back of the track events works right now. And that Chief is a heck of a camera man.

Definitely needed Billy tuning and Bill backing them in and lining them up. 2 pairs before Tommy mustang lined up well left if where Tommy and the crew was looking at and he went right down through only a wisp if smoke well down track , not sure why they didn't catch that. Then lined Bill up in same spot as Tommy with same result?? That's why it's called learning and experience. EZ to armchair Monday morning crew chief as well sorry guys

First off I love the fact that bill got in the truck.. second I know things didnt go the way you wanted but in your recap video it it obvious that you guys had a good or fun time and got a little stress off your shoulders just by your demeanor and I'm very happy for you guys... definitely missed billy but glad he is getting away and getting g a break before the drama gave him a total meltdown. It was great to also hear and see you guys brag billy up so much and great to see matt jumping in as another kid basicly not just the third wheel. From Leo: The "old man" is younger than me, but he remembers when the clock was between the drivers ears and the power controller was your right foot,. (right hand in my case) Today's cars are much faster, but the old cars were fun too. The poor pavement really puts a lot more on the driver. Fun video, thanks for posting it.

On average most cars travelled at least 685 feet to the finish line. Wow that's one of the sketchiest surfaces ever. Everyone that walked out with their car in one piece did an excellent job.

I'm glad y'all had fun! I didn't realize until I saw Tommy's arms, he's got a little beef in them arms, helluva driver too! Matt's a good driver as well, the track sucked!! I saw a lot of white smoke going on! I think that hood is Matt's good luck piece, he didn't smack the wall, thank God!! It's really nice getting to know y'all! Bill, I think we're close in age, I'm a '62 model with a lot of eewch! But growing up I put my body through some craziness! Plus I was born handicapped with Arthrogryposis, a muscle deficiency so some muscles never developed in my upper arms and stiff joints. But none of that bothered my driving abilities! In 83 I had a 71 Chevelle SS and I won a few races, mainly because the others didn't think I could drive till I passed them like they're sitting stilll! LOL!
